Btw his lateral speed added up to 80 and they removed the on ball defense stat. Steal looks like a 74

The thing about having less ball handling as any type is the only players with max defense will be lockdown defenders. So I'm assuming it won't be a steal fest just because your ball handling is 65/75. And you'll be able to drive without getting stripped every time. I see how they tried to create that balance. Which seems pretty good from the looks of things.

Of course I already know park and proam elites are gonna run Sharpshooters and Glass Cleaners so I'm debating between a sharpshooting 2 or a playmaking 2 because it seems the most balanced and fun. Like how I play in real life. But I'm competitive so I don't wanna put myself at a disadvantage for not having a 85/90 three point rating lol.

I'm also curious if the caps for lockdown defender is the same. Like last year you needed your defense to be a certain level to get perimeter and inside lockdown defender. Is it the same this year? Because if it's not a playmaking SF with a SG frame/vitals could have inside and outside lockdown defense which I can see being imbalanced even if it's only bronze. Same for a sharpshooter. A guy who can shoot 50+ % and still hold his own on defense. But we'll see in a few days how things play out.

I was leaning towards giving my Steph Curry/Lillard like player the Sharpshooter archetype but it looks like that will just leave me with some mediocre Kyle Korver like player instead. It's looking like the Shot Creator archetype is the way to go from here.

I'm hoping we can equip boosts to our player as well.

Lockdown defender is only one badge now.
Also just because someone is a lockdown defender doesn't mean they are useless. They become an automatic neutralizer and still have a decent lay up. Choops was saying they can still be effective shooting from 3 also with bronze catch and shoot.. Percentage probably being around 35 (with corner specialist and dimer it can be solid).

            6'3 - 6'6 PG
Vitals depending on its balanced towards ball control and shooting ability

            Shot Creator archetype
Will be leaving out the post and rebounding attributes. Hopefully that 13 3pt can round out to a 80 attribute and I can use catch and shoot with the stick to hit open 3s.

Looking to be aggressive like Westbrook with a Kyrie skill set forcing double teams for open dimes.

Im still wondering about this. ^

                          2k18 fixes

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

                          Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Shot Creator and Playmaker for my point guard. Playmaker's tower caps are more in line with the type of character I want to create (post scoring, strength and rebounding are not emphasized), but not crazy about the badges. Lob city passer and flashy passer feel useless to me).

Shot creator on the other hand places too much emphasis tower wise on the areas I don't intend to put points into (strength rebounding and post scoring), but the badges seem better for my more offensive focused play. Tear Dropper, Difficult Shots and Tireless Scorer in particular).

Basicially I want a point guard who can score first and still pass well. Should I base my choice more on upgradable badges available or tower upgrade caps?

I have/had the same dilemma on my pg if I make one. I may just stick with only the sg depending on how well the play-calling/AI ball movement is. Anyway I pretty much decided shot creator was better.

Don't forget in the end you are going to need to choose 20-25 points not to use. Also I think strength may be more of an asset this year than previously given there looks to be lots of contact that you can overcome instead of being locked in an animation. You may be glad for a little extra strength to fight past those hedges on the PnR.

Someone on twitch made a 7'3 stretch center. The 3s are 94 and rebounding is in the mid 70s. So I'm thinking maybe all sharpshooters/stretch players have all the same 3s regardless of position.
