Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17
In your opinion, based on the revamped attribute and cap system, will shorter PFs(6'8-6'10) have any advantage in vertical, agility, speed, and other attributes over 7fters?
The PF position was pretty much dead in 2K16 Pro Am.Lineup:
PG) Gary Payton
SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
C) Hakeem OlajuwonComment

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17
A stretch big will not keep up with a glass cleaner. Yes, you can still get some boards but there's a pretty large rebounding skill gap between those two archetypes. Add the badges to that and its night and day
Yes, athletic finishers leap higher than other centers other than the rim protector. They're even in terms of vertical.
Post scorers can definitely knock down the open mid-range shot assuming you've put some upgrades into the mid-range category
If you created a stretch big that was heavy, yes, it will help you inside. It'll help you box out, finish in contact and play physical ball in the post. However, it will slow you downgoing with glass cleaner

You'll get more upgrades this year in a way you couldn't in 2K16. More info to come on that soonComment

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17
Depending on what your weight is, you'll be faster than 64 at 6'10 if you max out your Agility as an Athletic Finisher. This only affects "speed", not the new attribute, "speed with ball". You'll need to upgrade your Playmaking tower to gain speed when you have the ball.Comment

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17
oh yeah one more question choops. when increasing your weight right i know it will make you slower but like do you keep getting slower and slower the more you raise it?
Basically what im asking is can i be fat as crap and my stats like be the same as a guy thats like 290 pounds. since were both super heavy or would the guy thats 300 be slower and the 290 guy be quicker or would it not matter at this point. pretty much does every single amount of weight matter or is there a cut off line.Last edited by nyk_fatboy; 09-02-2016, 05:21 PM.Comment

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17
Choops if you can answer his. Would a 6'10 225lbs Point Forward be athletically comparable to Ben Simmons, Paul George in terms of their speed, ball handling and speed with ball. I've wanted to be that kind of player for years and it seems like its available this year. Last year 6'10 Small Forwards move like they have cement blocks on their feet.Comment
