I have a 6ft6 Playmaker with 50 strength but I don't have a Point Forward. I do play against bigs with my 6ft7 Sharpshooter SG who also has 50 strength and a 6ft9 Paint Protector who also has 50 strength.

I have yet to experience what it's like to have 60+ on your base strength.

It does depend on your position but I've found being at the 3/4 you get matched up against bigger guys or sometimes slashers, and having more weight helps so that you don't get pushed around as easily.

You could sacrifice all that and go for pure speed though as long as you know how to take advantage of it, but I maxed my 6'7 SS strength and don't regret it at all, really helps on both ends especially when trying to break free of contact. But all I had to sacrifice was post scoring and a tiny bit of mid range....I understand for the point forward that shoot off dribble may be important but you can take so many "off the dribble" shots without the game counting it as one.

What weight or how much strength would be decent for you ? And if I have to put some upgrades in the strength column, from what other column would you take these upgrades from with a 95 overall ?

      Spoiler

Or maybe should I go with a 6'7" PG Playmaker not to have this strength problem ?
I would give up midrange and lay ups and dunks for strength.

I have a 6'10 226 SF point forward and his strength is 1 off from being maxed and he is at 53 strength, which is enough not to get pushed around.

I can easily lock up fast players with my 80 Post Scorer...strength is magnetic.

The more strength you have the more you make players stick and the more you can blow by other players.

Can you take a screen of your stats or of how you put your upgrades in every column ?

That seems to be an interesting build but I always fear to be slow. 6'10" is ok ? I was more thinking about 6'8".

My guy is fast with the ball and slow without it. I have like 67 speed, but I use him to play park and I never play with a center, so I am the center and I match up against other centers.

The most common build for a 6'10 Point Forward has him at 6'10 200 and just put nothing in strength and post...

            I'm 6'8" 220 Point forward, strenght 53, post 60, speed 75, speed with the ball 92.

            I found it quite balanced

Would you guys use a slasher for fun or also when you want to set a winning streak? Reading and seeing lots of vids looks like they're more for fun then good for real competitive play?

I do both with mine. Any archetype can be good for competitive play if you have the right personnel, and team chemistry around you.

                  Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

Appears like I'm going to have around 5-7 extra attributes on my 7'2 post scorer to either spend into Playmaking, 3Pt Shooting, or Agility.. Not sure which to spend them on.

                  Assuming 5 skill points:
3pt Shooting (Open Shot Three 34>55)
Agility (Speed 33>38, Acceleration 28>33, Vertical 30>36.. Doesn't feel worth it)
Playmaking (Ball Control 27>42, Pass Accuracy 27>45, Speed With Ball 25>34)

Any thoughts? Thinking Playmaking since it feels easy to take a post scorer out of the game by double teaming when they catch the ball..

I would dump it all into playmaking . Agility seems like a waste. 3 point shot would help too. You should be able to hit with a 55 + badges and hotspots. But I would say playmaking. If you're doubled you need more control and ability to kick out .

Have a maxed out Post Scorer with zero bars into playmaking. Any TO I've gotten I felt I would have gotten with a couple bars into playmaking regardless. Pass Fake = Best Friend, Timeout's = Best Friend, even the new protect ball animation when in the post will help limit TO's.

Personally, the value of being able to GREEN a three with just 55 three is bar none more valuable than anything else, that's 100% success rate. You'll still be TO prone with that limited of playmaking, and you'll still be slow with that speed/acceleration.

                      My thoughts.

I'm hoping this 7' paint protector can replace my 6'10 athletic finisher.

                          Speedboosting Sharpshooters (SB SS)...

What is it that makes it possible for 6ft2 Sharpshooters to speed boost?

Reason I ask is because the YouTube craze is that 6ft2 is the max height for a "SB SS"..

I compared the 6ft2 to the 6ft3 and the 6ft3 has the same ball control (79) but also more speed, speed with ball, acceleration, and lateral quickness. Why doesn't anyone promote the 6ft3 Sharpshooter?

Is there a minimum Speed with Ball rating that must also be met that the 6ft3 build cannot reach with minimum weight?

It's all about ball control. You need an 86 ball control (with +5 if required), so maybe the minimum weight of a 6'3 doesn't get you there, whereas a 6'2 will??

The 6ft2 and 6ft3 both have 79 ball control (www.nba2kmyplayer.com)

+5 boost then the +2 to ball control in Sunset will net you the 86

I get that so I'm wondering why the 6ft3 build isn't promoted? Unless the 2kmyplayer website is providing inaccurate information: I'd rather have the 6ft3 build.

Can you really have a GC at SF an be effective.
one with at least 80 speed.
if any know the right heigh wingspan to have for this to happen let me know. I love da badges they have for this type only reason I want to build this type.

What would be build for a SF/PF who can shoot mid range jumper wbut can be a bully on defense side of ball. I want a player who can guard outside not get beat by speed but not get bully on inside due to lack of size/strength.
