Already saw it when it was released - are you now going back to lockdown is less useful?. Yes his offense is the worst and he overall seems to have less stat cap balance. What was being discussed is in order to have balance he needs to rise above those stat caps in one way or another. Aka balance despite stat caps. Still being dominant or potentially as dominant as other builds in his own way. Honestly let's stop there lol. Lot of assumptions and one upping right now. Let's just wait for prelude. 3 days away. No hard feelings. It's all passion for the game and basketball lol.

And infact i would say that's not entirely accurate. It's been stated that other builds >Seem< to have more balance in terms of stat caps than lockdown defender. So there's that. But at the same time we do believe it might still be balanced regardless. That's all. There seems to be a lot of competitive spirit in this thread lol.
I haven't changed subjects at all. I've said every playstyle is balanced, even to the point of possibly being detrimental. There's no such thing as a dual threat this year, and that may do more harm than good.

Why 2k still haven't released any info related to player builds? We need to see every type so we dont need to spend hours to just know those types...

It's cool - let me explain why to me the topic was changed through - in my perspective it was changed through - to me - you assuming i was not understanding something aka needed to be taught about some news. Eitherway since is not in person misunderstandings can easily occur. But it's all fun and games anyway - literally. This thread has gotten pretty long lol. Hype is real.

LDD's will still have shooting capabilities and will still knock down shots. It just won't be as "automatic" as a sharpshooter or slasher, etc.

I don't see anything wrong with the way the caps are for a LDD.

Not saying you're doing this, but alot of online players are looking for the "superman builds" where they can do everything to stay competitive and that's just not the case this year.

But honestly, people will still be extremely good even as a LDD and just because you pick that Archtype doesn't mean you're going to brick shot after shot. Not even close.

You guys should just arrange a match when the game comes out play with your builds to settle it.

Me or? - ithink the previous convo was way more heated - didn't include me directly . Right now we are just clarifying some misunderstandings that's all. What's funny is a lot of the debates are based on assumptions - we have too see the game first to confirm if gameplay will match stat caps. In other words - settle what? lol. Basically a debate on assumptions on which build will be better or whatever. It wouldn't make sense to "settle it" since the balance depends on 2k not us. Eitherway it's all passion for the game. Don't be starting stuff! lol.

It's so damn hard to pick a build man

Anthony Davis (6'10 athletic finisher PF )
                    Shaq. (7'1 glass cleaner C)
Aldridge ( 6'11 post scorer PF)
Paul George/Brandon Ingram (6'9 shot creator SF)

For sure I'm creating the SF but no idea where to go with the big man.

I have no clue which player to make .

Was thinking Point Forward SF but don't want to end up super weak on D and mediocre at offense. Would want Athletic PF but very rarely play with guards who don't have tunnel vision and actually pass to cutters.

You've been going on a rant for literally no reason when we said LDDs will purposely be left open and dared to shoot. You started bringing up players that possessed LITERALLY the same weakness.
It was Rip4Eever who said that they would be the WORST TYPE. You started chiming in the same time as him making points so I got ya'll mixed up and thought you were implying the same thing. As far as being the worst offensively - IM SORRY BUT THATS FRIGGIN OBVIOUS! Why even bring it up. My points are to show how versatile the position is because it can possible guard all 5 positions, they can rebound set SOLID PICKS.and they have creative ways to score through "defensive" effort (steals and tip-ins) With badges like charge card at HALL OF FAME I can only imagine how many calls you will get. with a badge like BRUISER at hall of fame I wonder how quick you will drain the opponents stamina... just a few points to show the position is not as one dimensional as you might think. But to say they have NO offense I dunno, why would I argue that. They don't need offense to impact the game, the funny thing though is they play good D and boxout they will end up scoring anyway. those are just bonuses!

IKR lol I'm okay with that though . Lower my weight to get a Ingram/ early PG13 build . Then Ima raise my wingspan some to help on defense .

It's crazy though when bigmen like Anthony Davis and Kristaps Porzingis can move quicker/faster than you as an SF though. Only reason I didn't create one in 2k16 after having one from 2k12-15.
