Help! So I've just been spending my first mins in my court doing work etc. so I go to advance to my first game and do the open practice on the day of the game, I then go to play the game but it says this event had passed. I though I may have somehow stuffed up so I tried clicking on any event on the following day and I keep getting a msg saying I need to play the game immediately before in order to progress. Any ideas?

O you don't have the game yet? Well just wait then - I'm a lockdown defender 6'8 PF only 62 overall and I have no problem with the caps. You are just assuming that it's a copy of 16 just with different caps. Well no. Regardless of caps it plays way different. Atleast to me. I'm loving it. Already love it way more than previous 2ks.

It might be that I'm kind of brandmarked but I will test it out first before giving more feedback. How do you plan to upgrade your PF? Will you buy VC or just upgrade from time to time with what you earned?

Btw. have you tested out post fadeaways already? In my opinion they were broken in 2K16. I was not able to hit them with players like Hakeem, Aldridge, Kobe or MJ while the AI hit even contested post fadeaways. This is really a factor for me, whether or not I want to create a big man later on.

I'll likely upgrade with what I get - it honestly doesn't seem hard to get vc so far to me. As for upgrades my guy is a lockdown defender - his best towers are defense - athleticism - rebounding and strength. I only have a 62 overall and already have athleticism related attributes in the 60s which means I can get past a lot of big guys since a lot of them are much slower this year. Lockdown defenders are really great athletes. My vertical really helps my low rebounding right now. That's how I mainly score right now. Backdoor cuts - blowby etc. It's fun. As for the fadeaway idk yet. But my mid is only in the 40s and I can still hit it when wide open. With good timing of course. In practice it's money. Lots of green releases but slumps here and there. In games it's very situational and risky but decent considering the rating.

I thought I did that to, you actually just need to go down the list. At least when I did it I thought I was clicking on the game but I wasn't

I got drafted by the wolves, 5th pick. I already played my first game and i ended up with 15 points and 2 assists in 12 minutes. Superstar difficulty. I am really digging the presentation and commentary.

It's lame that you have to have a shoe contract in order to wear shoes in the NBA.

My only criticism do far is that I have been playing for over an hour and I still haven't played my first game. They got me meeting denier, practicing, then doing an event, then practising again...

I feel like I'm never gonna get a game going!

Is it possible to change the length of quarters for simulated games, so that I can play on 6/8 min quarters and have a decent chance at being the league scoring leader/MVP? It seems ridiculous to me if not

I think in 2K16 you had to do this in the settings before you started MyCareer, then it was taken over as default quarter length.

Ofc?... Just played my park against 2 86 overalls - my guy is 62 and teammate 80 - game ended our loss 22-20.

And you know that how? Did you hit the cap on all the towers?

Sure i have heard from one the youtubers who went to 2k earlier this month that you can hit a 99 overall. You hit 86 with the 80 upgrades already. I was a 94 with my first guy last year and had plenty of upgrades still to unlock.

Or seen someone ask ronnie2k that exact question
