Honestly though, this is all just a stop gap for me until the SimWorld project drops.

So here's Episode 2 of my St. Louis Spirits MyLeague series did a training camp to test my new roster and test possible free agents to sign. Noticing our new rookie PG Dejounte Murray can't shoot from the outside very well we sign Mario Chalmers. Needling more premier defense as well we add Lance Stephenson hoping to straighten him out offensively
Here are the jersey sets the Spirits are gonna roll with for season 1.

Can someone confirm for me if coach gameplan has been removed from the menus, and you can only alter a few things now? How the hell are we supposed to have proper control over our teams when we sim?
Also makes it a total pain in the arse changing it at the start of every game if we play. SMH surely this isn't true.Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
After spending a little more time in the mode, I think contracts may actually be a little worse than last year. The amount of rotation-caliber guys who are willing to sign for $1-2 million per year (at whatever number of years you please, btw) is staggering. There are a few buggy or imo overlooked parts of the mode right now, but I'd have to call this both the worst and most crucial.
Have the devs acknowledged anything here, like if they want feedback on specific guys? It'd be worth going through and doing some thorough documentation if they have. Also I remember last year when discussing this exact problem, one of the devs (DaveZ iirc) expressed hope that they could be tuned via a server update, though it turned out it required a patch after all. Maybe they took another look to insure some tuning could be done server side this year?
Also, it was confirmed at release that there was a bug with player progression (new athleticism attribute that the training was not calibrated for or something) and an update was incoming via the servers. Do we have any idea if this is live yet?Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Hey guys! I haven't played a 2K since 13, so jumping back in this year has felt a little overwhelming (but awesome). Reading up, it seems like the best way to get an authentic experience is to control all 30+ teams. I've got some random questions for you guys who do that:
1) What GM options are safe to leave on auto?
2) Have you developed any routines for messing with your league? Like, when do you tweak rotations? Set up trades? Etc.
3) Is it necessary to mess with teams' training schedules or does the CPU handle that?
Thanks!Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Simmed one season in MyGM & the trades actually weren't that bad. Only about 2 that didn't make sense. Maybe 3. Steals were way too high across the league, I know roster makers are aware of that. Couple bonehead trades on draft day otherwise the CPU drafted well. My biggest issue was almost every coach going to another team!! Popovich coaching the Sixers, Brad Stevens the Jazz, etc. I was forcing myself to look past the other issues in MyGM but that was the game breaker. I constantly try to play MyGM. I think it's time I gave in & do MyLeague full time. The last MyLeague I did worked out very well being able to enable/disable control of every team & even trade a player that was drafted to the wrong team. SO much control. Hopefully down the line there is an option to add the RPG element to MyLeague.Comment

#TrustTheProcess - Philadelphia 76ers MyLEAGUE
Hi all, in all my efforts to actually stick to a franchise/association/MyLeague over most of my life, I have always struggled. Much like Andrew on NLSC, who documented it only a few weeks ago when he went back and played over his Sacramento Kings franchise in NBA Live 2002, I start but never finish these modes, and over the past couple of years I've really struggled to attach myself to a game mode which I consider to be the best in basketball games.
In a way to combat my inconsistency with MyLeague, I thought that documenting it through avenues such as the NLSC and OperationSports forums in a way to stay motivated. I have done a few of these before, in 2K10 and 2K12, but since then haven't really been committed to a single franchise mode.
So, this is my attempt to re-invigorate my love for the mode with a team who, just my luck drafted the no.1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Ben Simmons, the team I support, the Philadelphia 76ers.
I'm not sure how consistent I will be in updates, I plan to play 2-3 games before making a new post in the forum. I'm no pro at the game, even after over 16 years of playing basketball games I won't be playing HOF. This is simply a test currently, as I have University Exams in a few weeks so posts will be scarce, but soon after I should have a lot more time to play more games and progress further.
I hope it's entertaining for some, it won't be to everyone's taste I suppose, but I thought in a way to make it more enjoyable for myself, sharing it with others may help to keep me motivated to play.
Hope you guys want to join me on this journey!

START OF SEASON
EXPECTATIONS
Seeing as this was the worst team last season, expectations won't be too high in the first year. Experience and growth will be key, with the core of Noel, Okafor, Embiid, Saric and Simmons all set to only get better with age. Though we are young, the pure talent of our front court should be able to carry us, with inside scoring being dominant due to our limited perimeter threats(which I am possibly looking to change early in the season). Playoffs will be the goal, and with such a youthful team the sooner I can get them playing competitive basketball the more chance we have to win some games. I expect us to finish somewhere around 6th-10th in the East, 6th being the best case scenario, anything above that would be a booming success.
TEAM SCRIMMAGE
I played around with the team a bit in scrimmage just to get a feel for this years team, and decided to trial something that has been discussed for the Sixers in real life, starting Ben Simmons at the PG with his exceptional passing skills. He was challenged, but mainly outplayed Jerryd Bayless in the time I played, and makes me wonder if the signing of Sergio Rodriguez may not last in Philadelphia, and trading for some more depth at SG may be a better option.
Timothe Lawawu Cabarott is raw, very raw, so raw I think I may need to acquire someone to start over him in order for us to be able to contain anyone at that position on the defensive end, as Nik Stauskas was running rings around him.
In the battle of the bigs, it's no question all four of Okafor, Embiid, Saric and Noel are worthy starters, and in order to really capatilise on our depth I've decided to change Noel's primary position to PF, which actually raised his overall by +1. Saric is a beast outside of the key, which will help immensely in improving our game from outside. The rebounding caliber of Embiid, Noel and Okafor will guarantee that no rebound will be easy for the defense, and I expect a lot of second chance points against teams without an elite front court.
LINEUP
I'm willing to trial Ben at the PG to begin the season, and run with Luwawu for now. I did get an offer of Noel for Khris Middleton, but would rather save the contract space and grow Luwawu to become more consistent and learn how to play with him. Picking between Embiid and Okafor to start at center is tough, but with Okafor already having a season under his belt and Embiid's durability still in question, I figured to keep Embiid limited to begin with and possibly mix him in with Noel later in the season. Robert Covington will get the starting role over a personal favourite of mine in Jerami Grant, just simply due to versatility on offense and ability to stretch the floor and hit outside shots, something that Luwawu and Simmons are still improving on.
I'm hoping to have the first game up tomorrow, but like I said University exams aren't too far away so my posts will be limited for the time being!"I just tried to play the right way." - Kwame Brown

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Hi guys! I havent played 2k since 2k14, so a lot of the menus etc are new to me. I was wondering how possible / easy it would be to create either a MyGM or MyLeague where I either do a fantasy draft with all legends in OR I have the legends just put into free agency....
BUT the kicker is..I dont want to have 5 Michael Jordans etc, I want just 1 of each player, preferably the youngest of each person (including garnett & nowitzki - I'd intend to remove their old versions and replace them with the youngest).
Now, I dont know if this is even possible, let alone how to do it, and if I were to do it, would it be very time consuming or is it quite straightforward?Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
So I finally decided to start playing MyLeague instead of just designing. I expanded the league all the way and redivisioned a bit, then chose to play as the Vancouver Ravens. I went through the opening game of the season, and am starting to get a handle on how to use the controls (though I still have no clue how to properly inbound the ball). Then I got to the end of the game, went to the league menu, saved it (or thought I did), backed out to the main menu and back in, and then, of course, that MyLeague slot is not there at all!
How do you save once you've started the season? Thanks.Comment
