    Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

I started a myleague with the intention of bringing back the Vancouver Grizzles and Seattle SuperSonics back after the 2016-17 Season. So I simmed the first season. I am controlling vancouver.

    2017 Quick Recap:

The LA Clippers won the 2017 title.
    LeBron won MVP
    Embiid won ROY
    CP3 won Finals MVP.

After the season the Memphis Grizzlies turned into the Memphis Knights.

    Grizzlies OffSeason

Vancouver hired Raptors D-League HC Jerry Stackhouse as the franchise's first head coach. Spurs Assistant Ime Udoka was signed as the lead assistant. Both coaches got a 4 year deal.

The Grizzlies got the 5th Pick in the NBA draft and 1st pick in the expansion Draft.

The expansion draft the Grizzlies selected first was G Jordan Clarkson from the LA Lakers.
Other notables who the grizzlies drafted

    G/F Josh Robinson from Miami
    F/C Jordan Hill from Minnesota
F- Kyle Anderson from San Antonio
F/C Brice Johnson from LA Clippers
C- Damien Jones from Golden State
F - Jordan Mickey from Boston

The other 6 players the Grizzlies selected, contracts were up with their current team and the Grizzlies let them hit free agency.

With the 5th pick of the first round, the Vancouver Grizzlies selected G Lonzo Ball from UCLA.
With the 1st pick of the second round, the Vancouver Grizzlies selected F Miles Bridges from Mich St.

The Grizzlies also signed 5 undrafted players.
F Rodions Kurucs - played for Barcelona 2 last season
C Jarrett Allen - Played for Texas last season
F/C John Collins - Played for Wake Forest last season
G Monte Morris - Played for Iowa St last season
G Paulo Cruz - Played for Arizona last season

During Preseason- Vancouver sent F Kyle Anderson to San Antonio for their 2018 1st round pick and 2019 2nd round pick

    Grizzlies Rotation

    Starters
    PG- Lonzo Ball
    SG- Jordan Clarkson
    SF- Miles Bridges
    PF- Rodions Kurucs
    C- Jarrett Allen

    Bench
    6- Josh Robinson
    7- John Collins
    8- Monte Morris
    9- Jordan Mickey
    10- Paulo Cruz
    11- Jordan Hill
    12- Damien Jones

I have played 8(?) total. I will update this with pics and stats after a month or 2. I'm having tons of fun. I also rebranded a few teams. There are tons of great rebrands out there.

      Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

Been doing Franchise modes for years with my Nuggets, finally decided to mix things up the other day and control two teams, 1 Western conference teams (Nuggs of course) and I decided to run with Atlanta as my Eastern conference squad.
Used start today feature on the last day of the season to set it up nice.
Ended up Cleveland v GSW in the finals with GS taking it in 7 games.

Lonzo Ball went #1 overall to the Lakers.

As the Hawks I decided my offseason goals were to offload Dwight's contract via a trade and re-sign Millsap for a 2 year max deal. He ended up taking $19.5m per season which I thought was fair. My big free agent target was trying to bring Kentavious Caldwell-Pope back home to Georgia. I offered him a 4 year max contract and luckily the pistons didn't match it. Tim Hardaway Jr wanted to test FA but didn't get offered a deal he liked so he took my RFA qualifying offer to fill in as my 6th man.
After a couple of draft night trades I ended up with an opening night roster of:
      C- Richaun Holmes
      PF- Paul Millsap
      SF- Kent Bazemore
      SG- KCP
      PG- Denis Schroeder
      6th - THJ
Mike Muscala first big off the bench

Pretty happy with that lineup and won my opening night game at Indiana convincingly, with Holmes putting up a monster night.

With the Nuggs I took a little different approach, focusing on building around Jokic and improving our perimeter defense.
Re-signed Gallo to a 2yr deal worth 18.5m per year. Traded away Barton, Nelson and Wilson Chandler (killed me to trade Wilson) but managed to flip him to Charlotte for MKG. I can't remember exactly what I got for the other two but pretty sure it was a three team trade that sent me mostly future assets (2nd rounders).
Re-signed Plumdog Millionaire to a bargain contract of $10m a season for 2 years.
      Drafted OG Anunoby.
      Opening night lineup of:
      C- Jokic
      PF- Faried
      SF- Gallo
      SG- Gary Harris
      PG- Jamal Murray
      6th- MKG
      7th- Plumlee
      8th- Juancho
      9th- Mudiay
      10th- Beasley
Signed Birdman to the minimum to a reserve C role, want him to retire a Nugget!
Young squad, but super fun and potential off the charts! Hoping to squeak into the 6th/7th seed out West!

Started a My League with my hometown New York Knicks. My idea is to build around Porzingis. My first trade was getting rid of Rose for Kenneth Faried and their 2017 first round pick. I simulated the first month and we are currently 9-9. Melo is averaging 22 Porzingis 20 and Faried 10.6

          Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

I traded Fournier and a 1st rounder at the deadline for Eric Bledsoe, hoping to spark some more offense. It didn't really happen and my struggles continued. I was left with a 1st rounder from Toronto from the Ibaka trade. Of course, the Raptors ended up winning the NBA Finals, leaving me with the #30 pick. I ended up drafting Grayson Allen.

Vogel also left as coach, so I hired Doc Rivers to come on as coach.

As free agency came along, I didn't have much in the cap of cap space due to all my trades. So I went out and traded Terrence Ross and Wesley Matthews to Philadelphia for a draft pick. During the offseason, Eric Bledsoe started to regress, so I decided to move him as well, sending him to the Mavericks for a draft pick I had sent them in season 1. So now between my off-season trades, I got myself 2 first round picks that will likely be high lottery picks. The trades of Terrence Ross, Wesley Matthews, and Eric Bledsoe also gave me a bunch of cap space, and in free agency I focused solely on 1 year contracts, giving me a lot of cap flexibility for the coming off season. So I'll probably have a waste of a year, essentially "tanking" to clear cap space and get a couple high draft picks. I'll probably sim a LOT of games this year and try to get through the season as quickly as possible, as the focus is on the off-season.

I sent Aaron Gordon and Elfrid Payton both to the perimeter shooting training camp to try to help develop their shot. Hezonja has also improved upon his shot in the off-season as well. Grayson Allen looks like he can be a pretty solid role player.

So right now, my biggest building blocks are Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton, Nicola Vucevic, Seth Curry, Mario Hezonja, and Grayson Allen. I'll have 2 high draft picks and tons of cap space to add some bigger pieces around that, hopefully luring some superstars in free agency.

              Grizzlies Report

After their first month back into the NBA the Vancouver Grizzlies sit at an even 7-7. Rookie Lonzo Ball has been as good as advertised. Ball leads the team in scoring with just over 24 a game, second is fellow guard Jordan Clarkson with 17.

A recent injury to big man Jarrett Allen has boosted rookie John Collins to the starting lineup where he has garnered two double doubles in his start. Coach Jerry Stackhouse has stated if Collins keeps playing at a high level he will remain the starter when Allen gets back.

In the rumor mill, the Grizzlies are rumored to be very aggressive in pursuing Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood in free agency. Also topping their wishlist is DeMarcus Cousins and Paul George. Sources say that the front office doesn't think Cousins or George are legitimate targets but they would love to land Parker and Hood to help bolster their offensive philosophy with 4 guys who can hit the three point shot on the floor at all times.

In other rumors, there was a leak suggesting that the team would be willing to part with Clarkson and/or rookie Randions Kurucs to clear salary if they had a shot at Cousins and/or George along with Parker and/or Hood in free agency. Both make over 10 million per year and would free up essentially a third max slot if they were moved. Ownership does not want to waste any part of Lonzo Ball's career. They feel he is special and they want to be aggressive right away.

To add depth, the grizzlies signed G Gary Payton II from free agency. This gives the Grizzlies 14 players. Only 13 can be active each game. Right now Jarrett Allen is inactive recovering from his shoulder sprain. He is expected to miss 1-2 more weeks.

              Risers and Fallers

RISER: Jordan Hill- who also earned increased minutes when Jarrett Allen's injury occured has stepped up huge. He has provided the veteran leadership the FO thought he would.

RISER: Josh Richardson- Richardson has become the go to scorer off the bench. His minutes have increased as well but because of his consistent play. Richardson scored a season high 21 on the road vs Golden State. Helping the Grizzlies shock the Warriors in Oakland.

FALLER: Monte Morris- Started the season out hot but has cooled off more recently. Coach Stackhouse has reduced his minutes where we have even seen Paulo Cruz run the point a few minutes a game when Ball or Clarkson need a rest. Morris could be on his way out as management looks for a more veteran backup point guard.

That is all for this edition of the Grizzlies Resurrection, After next month league leaders will be added and grizzlies player stats. if there is anything you'd like to know or see, let me know.

                  Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

So my 2nd season with the Orlando Magic was pretty much a throwaway season. I made some bad roster moves in season 1 that left me without assets for rebuilding going into 2017-2018, so I wasn't able to be a player in free agency. I traded Terrence Ross and Wesley Matthews to Philadelphia for a pick they owned from Dallas, which ended up being a lottery pick. Eric Bledsoe started regressing, so I traded him to Dallas for their 1st round pick that they owned from me, that I sent them for the original Seth Curry & Wesley Matthews trade the prior year, so I ended up with my original pick back. I signed a bunch of 1 year contracts and traded for expirings also to clear up a bunch of cap space. I did extend Elfrid Payton. Aaron Gordon was still undecided. So I went into the off-season with a ton of cap space, and 2 lottery picks. I ended up with picks #2 and #9 in the draft.

With pick 2, I selected Michael Porter, who ended up being the highest rated player in the draft. At #9, I traded the pick to the Nets, who sent me their 1st round pick, Daryl Cook, who they selected at #4. I also got a 2nd rounder out of the deal. So between the 2nd rounder I already had (#31), and the 2nd rounder I held from Cleveland (#60), I also added pick #54 to the mix as well. I ended up with 5 draft picks on the night.

                  #2 - Michael Porter
#9 - Daryl Cook (traded from Nets, selected #4)
                  #31 - Michael B. Russell
                  #54 - Corie Mason
                  #60 - Derrick Bernard

Michael Porter should instantly slide into my starting lineup at the 3 spot. Daryl Cook will be good in my rotation at SG.

During free agency, I was able to bring back Aaron Gordon and Seth Curry, my 2 major targets from my own team. I also came to terms on a deal with Zack Levine, and traded away Bismack Biyombo and D.J. Augustine to make cap room, and then of course the Wolves matched my offer lol.

I did get Greg Monroe, Glen Robinson III, and Austin Rivers in free agency, but unfortunately, with Paul George electing to stay in Indiana, and Minnesota matching Levine, I missed my goal (both personal, and to my owner) of bringing in another superstar. My 2 guard spot will still be a slight weakness. I'll have Seth Curry, Grayson Allen, and Daryl Cook, but nobody that really stands out to take the position. Elfrid Payton still remains a bit of a question mark as well, but I have had a good amount of success with him. Aaron Gordon continues to develop well, Vuc is a good anchor, and I'm excited about Michael Porter.

The good news about missing out on George and Lavine though, even though I traded away Biyombo and Augustine to miss out on them still, that move alone free me up for $24 million that would have been on the books for next year as well. And again, these signings that I'm making are with team options for the 2nd year, so I am maintaining cap flexibility for the future to try and bring someone in.

My roster going into opening night of my new season:

                    PG - Elfrid Payton
                    SG - Daryl Cook
                    SF - Michael Porter
                    PF - Aaron Gordon
                    C - Nikola Vucevic

                    Bench:
                    G - Seth Curry
                    G - Austin Rivers
                    G / F - Mario Hezonja
                    C - Greg Monroe
                    G - Grayson Allen
                    F - Glenn Robinson III
                    C - Joel Anthony
                    F - Davis Bertans

                    Reserves:
                    G - Michael B. Russell
                    G - Corie Mason

I seem to have developed a bit of a logjam in the backcourt coming off the bench, so I am tentatively thinking that I can move Austin Rivers when he becomes eligible. Perhaps get a future pick for him, and open up some more minutes for Grayson Allen as I'd like to continue developing him as well. Hopefully get myself another 1st round pick, possibly lottery, as I'm not sure if this team is playoff ready yet, and the only pick I have is a top 3 protected from Boston, who's topping out the power rankings, so that won't be a high pick.

I love playing with this team and I think all trades are fair/realistic considering what teams got in real life.

I also dismantled Clippers, made Boogie trade to shake things up.

Clippers had only 2 wins after 30 games so I tore that team apart.

Traded Blake, Diamond Stone for Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross. Traded Jordan Alan Anderson for Ibaka, Meeks.

I also traded Raptor's Sullinger for Garrett Temple.

                      Made a four-way trade :
                      Magic: Biyombo to 76ers
PHI: Ersan to Rockets, Okafor to Blazers (didn't send Nurkić)
                      Rockets: Brewer to Magic
Blazers: Evan Turner to Philly, 2017 1st rounder to Philly

So all in all things are pretty shaken up but I think I made solid and fair and/or realistic trades.

                      Thoughts?

                        Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

Having a lot of fun right now in a player lock my league.

I created myself PG and a buddy at SG, with about an 87 OVR rating as rookies and put us on the Kings. I didn't want to win a title our first year, I played about ten games and only lost to the Blazers (multiple times). We were doing really good as a team and it's probably because we had two allstar guards and a deep bench. I tried to eliminate that issue, I wanted a little realism. I traded away Rudy Gay, Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, and a couple others and ended up with a few first round picks and Derrick Favors.

I sim the first round of the playoffs, we sweep the Thunder. The Warriors lost the first round after blowing another 3-1 lead to the Grizzlies (KD injury). So we swept the Grizzlies. I played game one of the conference championship against the Rockets and blew them out, simmed the rest and lost 4-1 and the Rockets beat the Bucks to be the champs.

I end up with picks 11, 13, and 15. I decided to trade picks 11, 15, and three future seconds to get pick 3 and I took Jayson Tatum. I was offered Harry Giles for my 13th and a second. Didn't want to turn that down. I drafted Luke Kennard with a second round pick, and Dillon Brooks as well. I drafted 3 Duke players! lol

In the offseason I signed Yogi Ferrel to backup PG, and Justin Anderson to be a backup SF.

                        PG Me, Yogi, Tim Frazier
                        SG Friend, Hield, Kennard, Mclemore
                        SF Tatum, Anderson, Brooks
                        PF Favors, Giles, Stokes
                        C WCS, Skal

I wanted to make things interesting though. I wasn't going to use anymore real custom classes for drafts, everyone will be generated but what I did for this one was I created a monster center. 88 OVR with Shaq size that could move and shoot a little too. I also created an 84 OVR that I would consider rookie MJ with a jump shot but no defense. I just wanted my two created guys to have some star competition and to add some story to it.

I found a MyGM glitch so in 12 minutes I went from level 47 to 100 with a simple trick.

As you will see I decided to shake things up in year 9 or so in my gm and i am having more fun then ever. I started out as gm and they gave me the option of buying the team and I did. My first full year as owner despite winning the title I lost 100 million$. So I traded 2 proven players with high salaries and other picks/players for some rookies.

                              Name PG Trae Young

                              Trade Value 2.5*
Info - He was brought in on a team friendly deal and played solid as the backup PG last year. When longtime all star PG Markelle Fultz was traded that opened the door up for Trae to start. He can hold his own on defense and can also shoot he is a top notch playmaker. With so much talent on this team all the hawks need from him is to play solid and let the other stars win the game.

                              Name SG Michael Jordan

                              Trade Value untouchable
Info Funny enough he was expected to go 1st overall and then dropped to the hawks with the 3rd pick. He is a excellent around player and since been drafted worked on his defense to make it even better. With PG being the weak spot on the team expect Jordan to bring the ball up the court a lot. His shoot still needs some work and he is hard to stop when driving to the basket.

Info - After Stephen Curry moved on a few years ago he became the star of team and he hasn't disappointed leading the team to back to back titles. Despite averaging over 20 points a game for the last 5 years he has only been a all star twice. The former 1st overall pick has career line of 20.9 ppg, 7.3 reb and 4.2 ast.

Info He fell in the draft to the 4th pick and the hawks made a move trading longtime and former all star PF Kristops Prozngis. His defense still needs to develop, but he should be able to help right away with points and rebounds. He was projected to be a center and played that position in college, but will be playing PF for the hawks. He should be a double double guy his rookie year

                              Overall 79 ovr
                              Trade Value Untouchable
Info The 7'4 swiss born center is a huge fan favorite and will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Despite his modest overall he has a impressive resume and has came close to winning league MVP a few times. That's a task that will never happen as Washington Wizards SF Nick Johnson has won that award all 4 years he has been in the NBA. Eric has averaged more then 10 rebounds the last 6 years and the last 2 years has scored around 15 a game. He is a 1 time former all star and 2 time finals NBA including the game winning jump shot 2 year ago. He has won finals MVP 2 years in a row.

Info The hawks needed some insurance at PG and brought in the vet Graham who is pretty much a clone of Trae Young just 2 years older. He can defend, shoot and make plays.

Info the former mid 1st round pick wasn't doing much for the trailblazers so the hawks made a move and think they can get more out of him then his former team had. The obvious comparison here is to starting Center Sesvold as both are over 7'3 and born in another country. Big Z isn't the same type of player that Sesvold is as he doesn't have the mid range jump shoot or ability to score down low. He does give the team a cheap similar player if a injury was to happen.

Info A solid scorer, rebounder and defender off the bench who does everything good and nothing great. He can also play some PF if the teams wants to go small. A former mid first round pick who has never really improved.
