You must have misunderstood my last post. I was saying that the fixes also help user vs. User, I was actually complementing you guys for getting the MLO sliders fixed by doing what you all did. Since, Beluba didnt change the online sliders.Psn: Alabamarob

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
This is a major, major game play update. This is my opinion:
- HOF the shot stick is not a good option for me with these sliders. You are penalized more for being off center. I played one game and I was shooting so many off-center shots that were bricking now.
- SS I was able to play with the stick with good percentages and make some shots win the game
- Whatever was fixed in the back end they fixed the CPU transition baskets. Non of those crazy transition tempo 3's are happening
- Shot skill is required for this level you have to be on point with the sticks if you are timing shots HOF.
- The CPU is legit tough some bogus steals here and there but overall wow the game play is what I expected very very nice.

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Beluba..I am playing on PC. Game was loading great last night. Tonight when I tried to load got message checking server for update. Game then crashes and my monitor goes blank. I am not having the monitor or game crash issue with anything else. And, as I said, game was loading fine I assume pre-patch. Can you look in to this as I now cannot load game without it crashing?Comment

Anyone still feeling cheated on leak out layups etc.?
And are silly double teams still happening allowing dunk after dunk?
Sorry I'm stuck at work right now so I can't see for myself...Comment

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
I've submitted the slider changes to Superstar and HoF offline. Here's a summary of what I changed:
Remove AI boosts in Steals, Blocks, Ball Handling, Off/Def Rebounding, Layups, Hands, Contact Dunk, Onball Def. and Hustle.
Reduce AI boost in Off/Def Consistency
Shot Inside (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Close (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Medium (User/CPU): 45/48
Shot 3PT (User/CPU): 45/47
Again, this is only for Superstar and HoF offline play. Update should go out tonight around 2AM PST.
I started at hall of fame and started to modify it
I changed those :
"Shot Inside (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Close (User/CPU): 40/45
Shot Medium (User/CPU): 45/48
Shot 3PT (User/CPU): 45/47 "
Then
"Remove AI boosts in Steals, Blocks, Ball Handling, Off/Def Rebounding, Layups, Hands, Contact Dunk, Onball Def. and Hustle."
Since I checked and for CPU these attributes are at 60, I think that removing means exactly removing the boost (10 points more (60 instead of 50)) so I just set these voices at 50.. The only weird voice that is misleading is contact dunk which is probably dunk in traffic(I think).
" Reduce AI boost in Off/Def Consistency"
Here I changed both voice for cpu from 70 to 60 because I assume that means reduce... It would not make sense reducing by 2-3-4 points but probably by 10.
I tried a short game and it is way way way improved in my eyes.. You are free to try for those like me who don't want to update the game.. Let us know
When I get home from work I'll test it better and longer
Cheers

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Man! What a difference. I totally enjoyed myself!!! Felt cheated a couple times where my AI defender did some weird stuff to cough up a layup but one or two moments in a 12 minute game, HUGE improvement!
It became a chess match, I was altering matchups, subbing to keep to match ups, double teaming manually where the AI was going at me (Galo at Roberson was a solid match up but they had a realistic amount of success to force me to make some decisions....)
If I were better at post play I could've done more with Kanter and offset things a bit more, but below stats speak for themselves.
Once the ACE glitch is sorted I think I'll clean up some rebounding and scored SOME fastbreak points haha....

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Which differences are you guys seeing between Superstar and HOF?
I can't decide between the two. Loving HOF except transition and pace which are a little off. I agree on Superstar weird things happen once or twice, on HOF a little more but in other areas the challenge is fair.
I'm probably going to play on hall of fame in play now but keeping superstar as my go to level for franchise modesLast edited by sirio994; 09-21-2016, 07:47 AM.Comment

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
When the game came out i was a little scared because of the new difficulty philosophy and the gameplay balance out of the box. But now the game is amazing, thanks to Mike and the opportunity he gave us as a community.
Also i love the fact that he separeted from the start the type of experience players where looking for because it gave us the chance to work on sliders and try to replicate shooting percentages that arcade and casual gamers would have not liked.
Thanks Mike for the opportunity. Best 2k experience, for the very first time we can say default sliders play as a true simulationComment

HOF to me felt more like a real NBA chess match playoff type of match up some scoring droughts here and there back and forth swings, timeouts adjustments. Every possession seems to matter.
SS you can get away with a little more off-center shots with the pro stick.Comment

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Playing on default Hall of Fame sliders. Did not want to download patch. Will stay on default original sliders.
I am actually glad I didn't download the patch. Turned off my internet connection whenever I start NBA2k17. Digital downloaded 2k17.
I'm getting the hang of Hall of Fame, 12 minute quarter, broadcast camera on out of the box default sliders. Games are getting more competitive, played a few quarters tonight and was able to hold the CPU shooting percentage down and 3point shots down including quarter scores to less than 25 points and sometimes below 20. I held a team to 18 points in the first quarter, and it could have been 16 points if I didn't lose my assignment.
Sometimes I blow out the CPU and sometimes the CPU blows me out. But it actually plays a very solid game of basketball without the patch. Games are fairly close contests.
I am also able to go on runs of 10-0, 14-4, 16-3, etc. by playing solid defense with the CPU missing open shots and contested shots. It's a bit more challenging this year, because I truly need to focus on everyone on the floor as well as play off-ball defense and obviously on-ball defense. In all my years of playing 2k basketball, I never truly dared touch Hall of Fame until 2k16 after a few month. Decided to jump straight to Hall of Fame for 2k17 from the get go and am having a blast with the game on default sliders.Comment

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Probably not the thread for this.....but PLEASE 2K make it a priority to improve AI sub logic haha.
Using OKC at Rockets. Nene comes of the bench for FOUR fouls in the FIRST QUARTER!!!!! ......and get this..... they DON'T TAKE HIM OUT!!!!!

Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.
Prior to the patch, people were concerned about the shooting FG% and the 3PT%. Superstar and Hall of Fame CPU made pretty much all their open shots, and the tempo/pace of play was fast.
To rectify the shooting percentage, I tried simply lowering both the CPU and USER FG% and 3PT% to 45%, also tried lowering it both to 40%. That made things more realistic. Just change those two factors and that should help the statistics look more realistic.
Just change the FG% to 40 - 45%
Just change the 3PT% to 40 - 45%
But it would be nice to know what exactly Beluba changed, so we could experience the same gameplay changes without having to download and apply the patch.
I pretty much did that but I would be interested in trying out Beluba slider set seeing as how the tempo has also been lowered.
Side Note: Since I did buy the game, apparently the halftime and post game highlights work. Played 6 consecutive "Play Now" hall of fame games, 12 minute quarters, broadcast camera default setting and they still work. That was Saturday.
Pace is still too fast
