Reduce AI boost in Off/Def Consistency

    Shot Inside (User/CPU): 40/45
    Shot Close (User/CPU): 40/45
    Shot Medium (User/CPU): 45/48
    Shot 3PT (User/CPU): 45/47

Again, this is only for Superstar and HoF offline play. Update should go out tonight around 2AM PST.
Sweet! I'll recreate the reductions until tomorrow.

Not to change the subject, but any chance the old pro stick controls can be patched in as an option? Still not used to the absolute only controls. Or maybe you can clarify what shots are absolute only and need to be aimed, specifically shots from the post. Triggering the shots seem to be relative, but I'm bricking a lot, wondering if I'm not aiming when I need to.
Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?

Another thing that needs a little tweaking is the CPU tendencies to shoot 3 point shots it's a little over the top

How can I get more charging calls. The foul slider charging don't work like it should be. The average in the nba is 1.5 for each team. I played about 10 games 12 min quarter and had 2 calls for user and 3 for cpu.

Next year we'll make an option to disable Aiming, but unfortunately, that's something we can't patch in. I could nerf the aiming penalties, but then I'd also need to nerf the bonuses which I'd prefer not to do.

Anything inside of 15 feet does not require aiming. You'll know because the little aiming arrow should NOT show if aiming isn't being factored in. So as long as you're not too deep, you shouldn't have to worry about aiming post shots.

Beluba will this update go for PC version too in a same time as for consoles?

I know this is off topic, but I wanted to know when the on the fly adjustments issue would be resolved? Not being able to change your POE on offense and defense is a pretty big deal. Also the issue with substitutions not happening until next dead ball. If this has already been addressed sorry for the post.

Will these sliders be the preset for MLO? Or will that stay 50 across the board?

At least, that's how I wanted to design the difficulties.

If you guys can agree to a good slider set for Superstar and HoF, I'd be happy to adjust the defaults. I can change them in an update next week.

Just let me know exactly what you want in this thread.
Correct me if i'm wrong. With the preset difficulty levels, the sliders make up the difficulty this year. Is ACE is tied to the Offensive and defensive awareness sliders? Because what i'm noticing as i lower the offensive awareness and defensive awareness sliders for the cpu (10 for user and cpu), the game as far as the CPU's basketball IQ feels like rookie. Only difference is that they make more shots because i started editing on HOF and didn't touch any slider except the offensive awareness and defensive awareness. Is this the way the difficulty works this year. I'm just trying to wrap my head around it all.

Fair enough. Because I turn all icons/meters off I wasn't even aware there was an arrow. I'll turn it on to confirm when aiming is necessary.

Next year, beter than a disable option would be a camera relative option if you can work it out.

And while you're here, an option to turn off the attribute icons (star, 3 pt threat, etc) would be cool too.

                        Thanks for the interaction.

An admin might have to go in and re-select the preset once for the changes to take effect, but for everything offline, the changes should happen automatically.

Relative Shot Aiming didn't work. That's actually how I originally designed it and we prototyped it for a while. The problem basically came down to it being too difficult to identify where ideal aiming would be when you're not directly north, east, west or south of the hoop. So shots from the wing became extremely frustrating as it pretty much was guess work as to where you should be pointing the stick. Everyone ended up always just running to the top of the arc or to the corners since that was easiest to figure out. We tried dynamically changing the windows to compensate but it just didn't work. We even tried drawing little targets around the shot meter but it caused people to just stare at the meter even more, which was the opposite of what we wanted to have happen. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any cool ideas to bring more skill into shooting for 2K18 w/o it being overly complex.

I hope whatever new gameplay mechanics you guys bring into the game are always 100% playable without the need of any added visual information on the screen. Layups and hook shots are ok without the meter but it gets a little tricky to figure out the release point once you get into a contact animation. I think it'd be more consistent if the release point was just before the ball leaves your hand instead of slightly after your feet leaves the ground. I think it'd be easyer to time it that way and the perfect timing window could be shorter.
