Disagree - I just said above you can still be a legendary player regardless of these caps - I'm simply referring to him calling archetypes role players. Again if they were role players nobody would dominate. I welcome the 99 everything easy mode. I just disagree these limitations are as drastic as people make them seem. People are out here every year getting Goat numbers easily in their rookie year and somehow - we are role players. OK.

You missed the point man, its supposed to be OUR CAREERS, with all these ridiculous caps and archetypes, we are glorified role players thats it.
I LOVE the idea of archetypes, dont get me wrong, but its poorly executed

And you know damn well that most of us are putting up goat numbers cause we are grinding for the badges and playing on lower difficulties settings.

Since the games been out I haven't heard this complaint. The caps are low but it's still easy to dominate lol. You gone ball if you can ball

They could make a 2k park game that has season passes, map packs and add ons and all the other stuff that goes with it.

Definitely coould and it's a great idea. Selfishly, I'd prefer all of that time and effort (not to mention salaries paid) went into NBA simulation basketball. I mean, to be fair, it does actually NBA in the title...

Actually if you write down your attributes and then create a player with those attributes, they come out to be like a 70-something. We really are just graded out as role-players. Now, we as the user can easily over come that limitation by knowing how to use our characters but realistically we are nothing more than bench players, which I feel is a total rip-off as someone that doesn't like to play online sports games.

Thank you, I've been saying this since last year. Remember in 2k16 when you first played Pro-Am? People were tripping out because their MyPlayer was rated a 99 in their career, but like a 90 or 92 in Pro-Am. I told them that the number they saw was their REAL rating, and MyCareer was a false rating. I knew this because I remade the character through CAP, and he came out to be a 91. Afterwards, 2K patched it and once again masked the real rating for Pro-Am and masked it behind the false MyCareer rating.

Same thing this year. Give those same stats to a CAP, and you'd be somewhere in the 80s.

Not saying 99 everything. It's just not really fair to the offline community that we are handcuffed to the stat caps as well.

For example; I made a Slashing SF. I like that my attack the basket ratings can be high and most of the rest are average but it's ridiculous that I'm forced to be a terrible 3pt shooter with a max rating of 58 because I picked a specific arch-type.

I think the arch-type should make those specific stats relevant to the build cheaper while other categories should be more expensive. Unfortunately though that won't happen while MyCareer is attached to MyPark/ProAM.

that's what i thought it would have been when they first announced it. I was excited for that. I was so pissed when i realized what the archetypes really were.

like I was thinking if you made an athletic finisher for example, "driving dunk" upgrades would be really cheap to purchase so that you'll be able to upgrade them fast and use that skill, and three point shooting upgrades would be more a lot more expensive... but i thought you would still be able to get them.

I don't know why 2k is so set on making Pro Am their big esports thing anyways (well i know why, because nobody buys VC to do play now games, but that's beside the point). It just seems like people play Play Now way more competitively. every single 2k tournament I've ever heard of (aside from the RTTF stuff) has been play now, 1 v 1.

honestly the average person doesn't even play pro am competitively. I play it with my friends for fun once in a while on the off chance we all happen to be online at the same time... but in order to actually play pro am competitively with any real strategy you'd need yourself and four other friends to be online all at the same time for a while on a regular basis so you could practice. and when you're talking about adults with different work schedules and stuff that's just not realistic.

play now has way more opportunity for competitive play because i can get home from work at 3 am and practice without needing four other people to be online with me. and then show up to a tournament ready to play.

Yes, he's been quite critical lately, he's never been one of those "arslickers" and I'm extremely glad he isn't . He's completely right, the double team bull**** is almost gamebreaking. Last year, I remember I stopped playing MyCareer for a while because I was sick and tired of that BS, and this year seems to be even worse. I haven't encountered it yet, since I'm just a 73 overall and don't "dominate" much, but I'm afraid I'll be like that when I hit the 80s and start having more 20-point games. I suppose I'll have to try MyLeague or something if it happens and it's not fixed in future patches...

That moment when NBA live is just sitting back watching and wanting to know what not to do.. i hope Live get their **** together so 2k can get some real competition and actually make a game with out so many bugs

I play MyCarrer as a post Scorer on HOF and this game became so dull that I'm really about to quit it at all, not to mention tons of another flaws in almost all areas, this stupid double teaming killing this game for me as well as defnsive flaws which are not fixed. I'm allstar in a first season and can't upgrade my Free Throws and Stamina because it's bugged, great. Something really wrong going on.

I said it before and Smoove said it, how can you miss all this gamebraking things before release, you charging full price, then you charge fo VC's but core of game is bugged and broken? It's a fact and not a rant. I'm tired of this.

At current state this game 6/10

Im a software developer myself, the game has problems that should be discovered (and FIXED!) in the very first development cycle. Substitutions through timeout menu not working? Attribute upgrades through "Doing Work" not sticking? SHOTMETER glitching out? Come on, this has nothing to do with being released one month earlier, this should have been discovered when they start developing 2k17 in January or whatever...

I really hate the double teaming crap, I cant even work on getting the post badges because everytime i post up im instantly double teamed. I don't want to average 15 assists a game as a center but im pretty much forced to because of this.
