CPU never misses. They are shooting over 50% every game every team.

I have CPU pass acc on 0 and they are still throwing laser beams all over the court. Def steal animations are too slow to keep up with the laser passes so they are constantly getting open looks.

What difficulty are you playing on? I'm not seeing this at all on superstar

I concur. Since the last patch or tuner update, on Superstar, I've had a GREAT offline experience with 11 minute quarters.

Feels closer to release day in terms of shooting, except CPU is not as automatic. I've had scores as low as 85 range to as high as 115 points.

Great diversity depending on what team I'm playing. The Rockets were the team that lit me up for 115 points. I played with the Thunder and man, defense by the CPU is in a good place right now. It is NOT too sticky; I had 48 points with RW and 17 assists.

I hope they don't tune how the CPU looks for threes. In real life, the NBA teams are leaning heavily towards more threes per game.

        My only complaints right now:

        1. The animation when I am picking up the ball that I can't pass out of and makes me miss an open man.

        2. Passing slowed down a tad

        3. The CPU doing step-backs when they have a wide open set shot

        4. Sense of urgency when running set plays.. players need to get in position quicker

        5. The pass from inbound to the paint for an easy bucket by the CPU every once in a while is so cheesy

Overall, I am very pleased where this game stands offline.

The game is playing great offline. Key aspects are solid right now (percentages, scores, balance). Not perfect yet, but solid for sure.

Hoping for secondary adjustments (tendencies, pass speed, pace)

My experience has been hit or miss. One game will play great with awesome percentages across the board. I'd finally feel comfortable with the shooting at around 44-48% then boom....next game turns into complete ****. Cpu pass spaming, players out of positions, cpu defense turned up, those cheap cpu offensive boards, me and the cpu both shooting in the upper 50s, sometimes 60s. And this is with no slider adjustments.

Its frustrating as hell that I can't have a consistent experience.

I witnessed the cpu make 10 straight inside the paint shots on me at the end of the game. Most contested, others cheap cpu cuts. I felt helpless cause there was no stopping them.

Re: Thread For OFFLINE Users To Discuss Tuner Changes, Patches, etc.

I started out with the digital copy and had the 2nd patch and 2nd tuner updatte before i went and bought a physical copy because i really wanted to play this game and see how it was straight out of the box with no tuners and no patches. The game plays great. The issues with shooting high %, so many 3's and guys who wouldn't normally jack up 3's shooting oike their Steph Curry is simple...individual player ratings, player tendencies and Hot Zones are all jacked up in the base roster IMO. Ive been trying to rationalize why the roster makers did what they did regarding tendencies and hot zones...was it so that players would take different type shots at different locations on the floor? Did they want to open scoring up more? Im not sure. But, here is what i do know...those attribute, tendency ratings and the hot zones make a bigggg difference.

That Open Shot Attribute rating on Mid-Range and 3 Pt Shots are a big deal. A lot of guys have ratings in those categories 80 and above. This makes a big difference when it comes to %. Also the Hot Zones. I went t o vorped.com and began looking at indvidual player hot zones as compared to how they are in game and a lot of are way off. This makes a b7g difference in % as well as shots taken by the AI. So ive been testing with Toronto and Milwaukee. For example, out of the box DeMar Derozen will jack up a 3 from all over the court moreso that he will drive the ball and use the mid-range game. His Hot Zones out the box are either Neutral or Hot around the 3pt line. However IRL he shot terrible numbers from everywhere around the 3pt line except the left corner i believe. So i went in and changed his hot zones, adjusted hit close shot, mid-range and 3pt tendencies to go with what he really does and the result has been great.

Same with Lowry, the way his tendencies are out the box, he jacks up 3's. Off the pnr he is more prone to jack up a 3 in the game instead of attacking the basket. So i adjusted his hot zones and tendencies and he is playing like himself more. Im gonna keep tweaking these 2 teams til i get it right because i oove how this game plays out the box. Ive seen more loose ball fouls, over the back, on-ball reach in fouls on HOF base sliders out the box than i ever have. Im def not gonna close my mind and say ill never download the patches and tuners...im a keep my eye on this thread. As for now though im a stick with no patches and tuners.

Superstar. I'm also on PC and we just got the patch that Xbox and PS4 got a week ago, so I don't know if we are behind on tuner adjustments as well.

The passes are lightening fast and they are just throwing it into the paint at will no matter how many defenders there are.

I just played the Kings, and Garrett Temple is a MONSTER. A career 30% shooter from deep is a threat every time down the floor and it's super frustrating.

                    I'm playing on Superstar.

The %FG looks OK now but there are some things to fix yet.

-Hole in the paint, passes too quick and too much steals (too much stupid turnovers and bad passes)

I think you may not have the tuning adjustment just yet. Everything you're describing was happening before it was updated .

I really understand your frustration, man. The game was really a downer to play.

For now, drop the shooting sliders excessively low to try and combat some of the cheese. Also, turn down the cpu offensive and defensive awareness / consistency. That helps a bit.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but is anyone having success with fast breaks? They seem non-existent in Hall of Fame and it makes it a chore to play with teams that are more fast break oriented... there are games when the computer can have them but I can not make them happen. I thought that 15 and 16 were far better in this aspect. Not every team is a half-court team.

Fixing the fast breaks adds another layer of strategy in match ups as well. Do I want to limit the transition and get back or do I want to maximize my rebounding. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Only 1 I disagree with and that's probably 4 I think play development is slowed down because of the new physicality engine introduced this year

I understand that. I appreciate the new off-ball physicality but I think the offensive player should have just as much fight off the ball to get to his position in a reasonable amount of time.

Certain plays aren't really usable right now due to them taking too long to develop. 30 % of your playbook can't be used due to how long the play takes.

I don't want the physicality taken out; I just want balance.

Yes, certain plays take way to long to develope. I usually make note of them and take them out my playbook. Some plays are just golden. My fav is probably any "Fist" play. Usually a off ball screen to a open man for a jumper.
