I'm saying....we came from days where subs were non-exsistent, fouls were rare, every single team played the exact same, you had to make house rules so you wouldn't destroy the pathetic cpu. I started on Atari baskeball. Where everything was square, even the ball and baskets. 1 on 1 full court. I'm still impressed at the progress of games. We have come a very long way.

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
I really can't believe in what I am reading
Do I like that the game is being fixed?
Sure.
Do I feel that it is embarassing that a game needs it's 4th version + multiple on the fly slider adjustments within less of a month? 100%
Do I feel that people for nearly a month now are being used as free beta testers?
Certainly
I am not expecting the game to be perfect from day 1.
But the game seemed extremely unfinished from the first view.
Even now after patch1.04 we are talking about version 1.05 which is already in process.
Do you really think that this is normal and we should be glad with that?Comment

Edit --
Never mind. I see the custom shoes in MC & they still cost 7,500 VC.Last edited by nuckles2k2; 10-11-2016, 03:06 PM.Comment

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
That's an exhaustive list. If you have issues with the game like most of us do that's fine. No software product is shipped "finished". Otherwise there would be no updates/patches. To claim the game is so much less finished than anything else simply because patches are being put out frequently is exaggerated whining.

Nothing better than having 100% accurate arenas and player likenesses. I used to come home from work and the first place I would go is NLSC to see if there were any new mods available.Comment

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
They're also complaining about patches in 2016, when chances are anything they use gets a "patch" lol.
2K17 is up to version 1.03
Paypal iOS app is up to 6.6.1...
I mean...devs have the ability to make adjustments, so they do. Sometimes the adjustments are needed, sometimes not. Still.. This is the future folks, we been here a minute.
Got to your smartphone, and check the version number of any of the apps you have.
If the version is 1.0.0, then it's never been "patched".
If the the number is anything else, it's been "patched".
We just call those updates in 2016, & we gotta wait to see if the devs made a blunder or if everything still works fine.Comment

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
But ronyell got a point.
Why do they have to ship the game in September? I always thought early October was too sooo aswell. The nba season hasn't even started and rosters are not set. So why not wait some more weeks and test/fix some more things before the release.
Obviously I'm happy about every patch/fix they release. Espacially at this rate. They also could wait like 3 month before releasing a patch. But this also shows that they might sell it too early

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
No, you're right, other games I play do tend to release patches on all platforms at the same time (Witcher III is one -- and that company is probably the gold-standard for how a company should interact with one's consumers) but I'll give 2K a break here.
I'm almost certain we're dead last in priority, but I'm also supremely thankful we still get sports titles at all from them. EA got out of the PC market with sports titles years ago and 2K could easily do the same if they wanted.
Good point on the release date, but I still kinda hate it. I appreciated the fact that the game came out the same month (generally speaking) the NBA actually started playing, but having it a full 6-7 weeks before regular season tip-off is just ... strange. I know Madden does a similar thing, but it always bugged me, too.
In NBA 2k's case, the PC version is the port, so it's at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to updates. I'm just happy there is a PC version and they aren't just releasing the last-gen version anymore.Comment

Re: Patch 1.04 is out for PS4
I've literally written an update for an app that didn't add any features.
It went from v-1.2.0 to v-1.2.1. Those sort of version updates don't contain additional features. Just "general fixes & updates".
Lets get this convo back onto the actual patch & not these silly, unenlightening, arguments. They're not serving any purpose.Comment

I swear if it wasnt for the ease of console gaming and the fact that I dont want spend a grand for a gaming PC, I would get NBA2k on the PC right now.
