Re: NBA 2k18 - Another VC grind fest?
The 1 minute quarter thing is too tedious. I rather not play at all... And watch them patch this as quickly as possible while other bugs (disappearing VC) don't get any attention at all. gg 2k
Apparently there will be a statement from 2K regarding the critique to 2K18 in the near future. What do you guys think this will be?Last edited by meccs; 09-22-2017, 03:39 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2k18 - Another VC grind fest?
My issue with VC is that if it is treated like currency then there has to be some type of set value. If shoes are going to be 3000 VC how does it make sense that I'm an NBA player that doesn't even earn a shoes worth in value per game. There is an objective in the game where you have to wear the newspaper shirt around town and yo end up only being compensated with 10 VC, which by my math is the equivalent of $1. Mind you, 2k loses no real money by giving us a fair amount of VC per game... I mean it's only virtual currency. And the fact that VC is still involved in offline modes is very annoying. I've said this since 2k16, VC will be the downfall of 2k & it's sad because 2k18 has some of the best gameplay ever for any basketball gameComment

I found out this week that you get no VC for accolades and awards. I won the three point contest and got no VC. Rookie of the year, all NBA first team defense, no VC. Won the Finals and was Finals MVP, no VC.
Then, in free agency, I picked the three teams that were most interested in me, and negotiated three times for more money. The highest offer I got was 600 VC per game. After winning ROY and Finals MVP, I got just 20% more than my rookie contract.

Re: NBA 2k18 - Another VC grind fest?
IMO VC should be spent only on cosmetic items - clothes and animations. And those should have nothing to do with real life prices. If that was the case, you'd have millions of VC per year and all shoes would cost 100-200 VC. There's no gameplay there. You could almost instantly buy everything.Comment

I don't agree with this take.

I don’t think animations are cosmetic, personally. A lot of animations affect what you can do on the court. Some jumpers are quicker than others, crossovers and other dribble moves can create more space, etc.
