So I signed with the Nuggets for the 600VC, then simmed a good portion of the next season. I just finished the Finals, and I am now convinced that either their free agency in My Career is completely broken, or they are just being that stingy.

I won the MVP, DPOY, and Most Improved Player awards. No VC for any of that. Won the Finals and Finals MVP again. So basically, at this point, I am the best player in the league. I move on to free agency, and the offers are a complete joke.

The Nuggets, who I am currently part of making 600 VC per game, offered me 575 VC per game, AFTER negotiating for more money three times. They want me to take a pay cut after winning MVP, DPOY, and Finals MVP. WTF????? Every team, even those with 100% interest, are offering me less VC per game than what I made last season. Even after three negotiations, the highest offer I received was 625 VC per game.

Also the fact that I have no way to negotiate contract length is ridiculous, so I would be stuck with these crap offers for 3-4 years.

      This is seriously a joke.

What's your overall? I think that factors into how much a team offers you. But yeah, 2K is being very stingy with the VC. Just look at the 2K companion app. You used to be able to earn a few 1000 a day. Now it's 100 VC lol.

Even if that were the case, I shouldn’t be offered less than my current contract. That’s ridiculous.

There is an objective in the game where you have to wear the newspaper shirt around town and yo end up only being compensated with 10 VC, which by my math is the equivalent of $1. Mind you, 2k loses no real money by giving us a fair amount of VC per game... I mean it's only virtual currency. And the fact that VC is still involved in offline modes is very annoying. I've said this since 2k16, VC will be the downfall of 2k & it's sad because 2k18 has some of the best gameplay ever for any basketball game
Well in reality an NBA player is well compensated to the point buying stuff like shoes and clothing is basically free for them (if it actually literally isn't, of course - so the first hurdle is probably the fact these things are free gifts from sponsors). Matching reality would make more sense if you could buy mansions and fund music labels. So I can understand the math not relating to the real world.

What makes no damn sense is a rubber wrist band being the same price as a set of full leg skins. The VC costs relative to other items in game are incoherent.

I would be more accepting of the high prices for cosmetics if upgrading a player isn't as costly as it is.

I'm not wasting my time playing those card games for a crappy 500 VC. Cool, 5 more days of that and I can afford shoes.

It's clear they want us to earn less and less VC year after year. Now you get 100 VC just for logging in when you used to feel disappointment if you pulled a 100 VC card. You see it in how they price things and how much we are able to earn.

That's insane, I'm still in my roomie season. I make 500 VC per year and my contract is only 1 million. So if you're at 16 million you should be making at least 900 VC per game. This is not right or fair.
