THIS. Esports shouldn't become about your CHARACTER and the barriers to entry to to have competitive character, it should be about your SKILLS. So many good players who are better than top players, but they don't want to spend 1000 hrs or $500 in the first week just to play pro am. 2K18 needs to do more to distinguish good PLAYERS from good CHARACTERS.Comment

I am confused by your response to his post. Wouldn't his post's idea involve less grinding and more playing competitively?Comment

Judging from this year's Prelude, your low-level, starting/base guy isn't mammoth heavy with sloth-like sprinting capabilities, while being to actually finish inside and step out for jumpers.
So again, I'd say we're moving the right direction (even though that means we'll be averaging 28/8/8 by week 2 in MyCareer but whatev's I guess).Comment

Re: 200,000 VC to upgrade player to 85
When did we decide that sports video games are legitimate eSports? Sure, they might try and market it as such and throw an occasional tournament with a sizeable cash prize, but. Really? When I think eSport I think of million dollar tournaments and yearly leagues. I guess if having a chance at a cash prize is all it takes for it to be an eSport then it qualifies but man that feels like a loose definition.
Real eSports to me are.. League, CSGO, Overwatch, Rainbow Six, etc.Comment
