Last game of the season and a player gets an injury of 24 games ..does that mean the injury will carry over to 2nd season and continue to count down the 24 games predicted injury ..? Or does he recover in the off season ? This is online league btw thanks i really wish someone would shed some light

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
I'm not 100% certain but I think it's safe as long as you don't make it through the first season before the next patch. As far as I know, the issues that are still present are Bird Rights/RFA's not working properly and the CPU not signing 2-Way contracts or using the G-League after Year 1. There's also an issue with centers in 2K's draft classes but I don't plan on using 2k's draft classes so that shouldn't affect me.
I'm strongly considering starting my MyLeague tonight as long as those are the only issues I believe that they will either be fixed in an upcoming patch or I can work around them. Although, the Bird Rights issue is the main one I'm concerned about. I need to test it a time or two before making a final determination.
I'm sure when I do start a giant roster and/or ACE update will drop a day or two later because that's just how things normally work out for me.Comment

Another thing is it looks like CPU controlled teams don't assign players to the G-League or sign players 2-Way contracts after 17/18.
Lastly, maybe I'm missing something but I don't think there's a way to sign newly drafted players to 2-way deals. In real life, I think the majority of 2-way contracts will be 2nd Rounders going forward and as far as I know the only way to do that in the game is not sign them in the rookie signing stage, then sign them at the beginning of the new season instead.
Of course, the CPU team doesn't do this so unless you have self-control then you can have your pick of whichever early 2nd rounder that wasn't signed. I think if those early 2nd's were automatically signed to 2-way deals instead then that should really help things.
On a positive note, in the 3-4 sims I ran tonight no player under the age of 34 ever retired so that would be huge if G-League was populated correctly.
The G-League has so much potential but I feel it's not used correctly and of course, salary issues is breaking the game like it did in 2k17. Where a lot of good players refuse to sign because their salary demands aren't met when they have no stats to back up their demand. 2k fixed it to a degree in 2k17 but it's broken again.Comment

Them wanting money is fine, it's these others wanting the same salary and nothing less. In real life, you take what you can get as the best offer. Not what they think they can get.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
but in real life, it happens sometimes when a player is a great fit and he is in the right role. 2k got it right but it just looks crazy. It reminds me of 2k1 to a degree. I liked it because it wasn't a lock that a player was going to be great or a player was going to be bad.

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread
too much parity continues to be an issue in 2k this year. I simmed out six years and only the GSW got more than 60 wins the first year and no team won more than 55 the next 5. The first season 8 teams in the East were between 36 and 39 wins.
Each season no team won less than 25 and the vast majority of teams were bunched between 35-45 wins.
And yes the randomness is there. For example Boston didn't make the playoffs the first year with Kyrie but the Nets did (game REALLY likes D'Angelo Russell to become quite the player).Comment

Things MyLeague currently got right:
Player Progression- Best ever, don't change it.
Sim- Don't change it.
Trade engine and draft class depth.
Things wrong has been mentioned on here, no need for me to rain on their parade.Comment

You can edit staff names, attributes and choose from around 220-230 premade heads. Here's a thread where I attempted to match assistant coaches and GM's with the heads: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-ml-users.html

Thanks now I’m not touching that game mode. I’m very disappointed in 2k this year.

I think now the player progression is right also. Just past my second year it’s the best I’ve seen in years.
