Does anyone know if there is a way to get the CPU to react a bit slower to loose balls? I lost a game because I blocked a shot and the CPU turned around and caught the ball before it even hit the ground, pulled up and swished it in my face since I was totally out of position now.

I assume I could edit individual players, but that would take an eternity. Hoping there is a global slider that might do the trick

Just some animation I guess it won't happen all too often, I would turn own the rebounding slider for both CPU and USER. This also means big men aren't OP when it comes to rebounds.

Is there some sort of trick to getting players to actually sign 2-way deals, this feels like 10-day contracts back on old gen where they would never sign them
And i'm trying them on 68-72ovr 18-22yr olds with less than 3 years in the league, they just won't sign.

Just curious to see if anybody has moved teams around and pretty much wipe out the conference concept. That way when it's playoffs you'll have two number 1 seeds and they could be both from the East or both from the West. How did you do it and what did you think about it?

From my current understanding, that isnt possible. I think there will always be at least 30 teams and 15 in each conference.

Maybe I didn't say it right. I just mean like swap an easy team for a team on the weather to balance it out. Not load a different conferences with multiple teams

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread

I almost screwed the season up before FA by renouncing the CAP holds for all the players thinking it would free up money. Well, the Kings ended up as the only team with any actual money to sign anyone so I had to sign the FA there, edit their contracts, then trade them to the team I wanted them on. It took me a second but I got through it, and I learned what not to do.

I just finished the 19-20 season in ML. The 7 seed Jimmy Butler led Heat won the title in 6 over the Thunder. Miami was competitive, but OKC was in cruise control for their 2nd in a row before George went down in game 4. It was a good Finals. Glad Melo at least got 1 (the year before).

The Cavs didn't even make the playoffs, so I fired Lue. The team is still pretty much the same, though. I have Chicago as a power now with Klay, Zach and Marc Gasol. They were 1st in the conference most of the year before falling to 2nd the last week of the season. They lost in the first round to the eventual champs Miami. I cant wait to play with them some more. Every other team is more or less the same just older with new rookies sprinkled in. John Foster of the Kings is a star, though. He led Sacramento to the 2nd round by himself. I'm giving him all of KG's mannerism for this season.

The Warriors are still beasts, but Steph has had bad ankle injuries the last two years and it has slowed them down a bit. Those massive contracts that Steph and KD have are affecting their ability to keep talent. Iggy became a FA this past offseason and signed with Chicago, I didn't manually do it either. Warriors still get talent, Al Horford, whos like an 81 signed with them for like 1.5 mil so they're fine and still threats.

I'm tinkering with the Pistons now. I know there's no way we're getting a star player here so I want to build this team like the Billups/RIP/Wallace championship teams around great defense and good but not great smart offense. The whole being greater than the sum of its parts type deal. I let Reggie Jackson walk in FA; He signed with Toronto (Lowry signed with Memphis). I traded Tobias Harris (I just cant play with him for some reason) to Memphis for a 1st. I edited Avery Bradleys contract to half and traded him to Houston for Eric Gordon. Using VA's draft classes Detroit has a 6-5 2nd year PG named Gergios Diamantidis. Well, I loved Demtris Diamantedis from Greece in 2K14, 15 and 16 so I made him his son. And I copied his ratings from 2K14. LOL. He's gonna be my Chanucy Billups.

My problem though is finding a good RIP. I wanted Gordon to be it but 2 weeks in the season and he's done with a torn MCL and he's like 32. I don't want to create the player, I want an actual NBAer. This is about as far as I have gotten with this rebuild. Diamantidis is an 83, good defender, good open 3 point shooter and solid finishing. Drummond is still a monster and only 28, so he has some good years left. I'm looking for suggestions on how to finish rounding out the team.

I have just noticed that all of my players seem to be fatigued. Like, the entire roster, not just my high minute players. Why would this be? I have some players who haven’t played in about 6-7 games so shouldn’t be fatigued. I have 2 players who haven’t even dressed in the past 15-20 games and it says fatigued.

Is this a bug, or could it be my practice schedule?

What’s up, my man. I’m enjoying reading about your league and who your deciding to work with. I’m currently in my 3rd season where I’m working with all 30 teams - very similar to what you do.

My question is, what do the salary cap settings need to be prior so that players can move freely the deeper you get into ML?

I’m trying to figure out the details of the salary cap, i can make FA a little more interesting.

In my 30 team control for the Pistons in year 1 traded Faried to them to be the starting PF I gave up the 3rd PG and some cap filler. In year 1 they were a top 3 seed and exited the playoffs early and then in year 2 made it to game 6 of the NBA finals including beating my 76ers team.

They was a nightmare on the boards with Faired and Drummond and also a top notch defense team when you add in Bradley and Stanley Johnson.

That's a good idea. Faired could be got for pretty cheap. I have Mirotic as the PF now but I'm not sold on him, plus he provides nothing on the rebounding front. Avery Bradley is another guy I can't play with for the life of me. I still have Stanley Johnson though, him and Jerami Grant are platooning at the 3. I like Johnson more but Grant feels like the better player.

what are the best setting for the contract section for ML, like for the salary and hard cap so it grows well with how the game does?

and for Progression(player rate, regression rate and in-season effects)?

Re: Official NBA 2k18 MyLeague/MyGm Thread

So Ive preferred playing mygm over my league since its been in the game because I've felt its a bit more challenging and fun with the voting on rule changes and what not. And I've just spent about 4 or 5 hrs playing mainly mashing the "A" button through the dumb storyline and then spending time relocating the kings to Seattle( since you cant start with an expansion tea here) and taking time to create the jerseys and arena just the way I'd like. Then I spent the better part of the next couple hrs simming and rebuilding the team by scouting making trades and signing lower tier free agents until I got my team how I liked it.

And then the problems arose. While in free agency i noticed that whenever I added a yr to a contract offer the final year always had a cap hit of $0 . small glitch I figured because when I'd check contracts they seemed to be right.

And a problem I've seen mentioned here before. It was the 14thday of free agency and 84 over Memo was still available with no offers. He was expecting 36 million for a 1yr deal I was only able to offer 20 which he rejected. Then I Sim and the next day he's expecting 38 mil and then 41 mil. He still has no offers and appears to be staying unsigned so as soon as free agency ended I searched for him in player finder and he magically ended up with the hawks for an 11 million dollar deal
And then a confusing problem I needed a center to backup my young 78 ovr A+ pot. Center so I tried to make a trade with the bulls for 36 yr old Dwight Howard I offered a young decent PF and 2nd round pick and I got hit with they couldn't make that trade because they would be to thin at PG!!!! So I go and try to make the same deal for another center and I get the same message to thin at PG. So I gave up.

Then what made me quit all together. I was going through team Intel and noticed that the Pistons had 2.1 BILLION dollars of cap space and then I seen a few 2 billion dollar contracts lingering around. At this point I gave up

I've searched for answers and have seen a few things mentioned here about the veteran free agents and the billion dollar contracts. What I want to know is my entire game ruined now? Or is there a way to fix it or will it eventually fix itself? I can deal with the veteran free agent problem and the odd PG thing but the billion dollars of cap space positive or negative just won't allow me to play.
