Had two weird things happen playing my league today. Signed Zhou Qi from free agency to fill a roster spot. He was a 75 overall. Put him in the G league to start the year and when I checked on him he had shot up to an 81.

To make it even weirder picked up Diamond Stone from FA again to fill a roster spot after a trade early in the season. He was a 72 and was sitting on the end of the bench not getting any play time. 3 quarters of the way through the year I was looking at my roations and Stone was now an 89 overall!

Anyone come across anything like this?

I'm sure I'm doing something obvious that I'll feel dumb about once I figure it out, but I have an issue with MyLeague playoffs.

I'm controlling all teams for the 1st time so I've never experienced this before. Just started the playoffs, with my main team, the Celtics, and its giving me a prompt saying "your next game is game 2, all games before will be simulated".

So that sucked, but I went with it, somehow my 1st place C's lose game 1 to Orlando, I am allowed to play game 2, win, and now... I can't play any game but game 4.

What is going on? I'm going into daily view, highlighting the game I want to play, backing out, selecting the game, picking an option (this happens w play game, Simcast, and Simcast Live), but nothing works, the only game I'm allowed to play is every other C's game.

I’ve started a countless amount of different MyGM saves....and EVERY single time the Jazz trades Donovan Mitchell to the Suns on draft day every single time.

That’s not the weird part, the Suns NEVER trade Devin Booker back to the Jazz, so the Suns always have both Mitchell and Booker. 2k 2k 2k 🤦🏽*♂️

Yea, putting players in the g league makes them progress extremely fast. The downside is that all the players seem to hate being there and ultimately makes it harder to re-sign them when they become free agents.

As for Diamond Stone, yes I have seen that happen a few times. I posted about it a few pages earlier on this thread. It is rare, but it does happen. The last time this happened for me I lowered the player's ratings back down, closer to where they used to be. But hey, it is your league, that's the beauty of the game mode.

I have not tested it, but I was thinking the dramatic rating increase might have something to do with how well the player fits your system, your coach's rating with the system, and maybe team chemistry too. All those things were high any time this happened for me.

i'm kinda new to mygm/myleague, so here are a few questions:

(1) would you recommend to change the playstyle/system, replace the head coach, overwork the playbook of a franchise, e.g. the bulls?

(2) When do i aquire FA's, e.g. Cousins? do i have to wait untill he is in the FA list or can i offer him a contract before he is available?

(3) i dont get the difference between the 2 options to adjust the sim minutes and the stats in relation to the quarter minutes, which option would you recommend?

(4) what players would you try to aquire as a spurs GM? how do i look up if a player fits to the system?

1. Matter of preference, but I like to leave things like that alone for the first year, then make my changes in the offseason. You can do it whenever you desire though. There is not a mechanic for learning a new system. Real life there would be an adjustment period for implementing a new system, but that is not the case in 2k

2. He has to be in the FA list. But technically you can offer him a contract before he is available. 2k has what is called the moratorium period. ITs the 10 days I think before FA period technically starts. He can agree to your offer during this period, but doesn't sign until the FA period starts. But as far as reaching a gentleman's agreement with a player during the regular season, no, you cannot do that.

3. It depends on what your settings are. How many minutes per quarter do you use in played games? Going from that, are your stats realistic or not? If you play on 12 minute quarters, turn both adjust options to off.
Possible combination could be:
Quarter length played: 8 minutes
Quarter length simmed: 12 minutes
Adjust sim minutes: on
Adjust sim stats: off
I'd use this if my stats are realistic for my games played. This way the game will take minutes played for each player and calculate what those minutes would be using 12 minute quarters, e.g. you played a guy 80% of the time in a 8 minute quarter game, it would use 80% of a 12 minute quarter.

4. The FA screen will tell you how good of a fit a guy is to your system, but it doesn't give you that info for potential free agents. On this you gotta use a bit of common sense. If you run a 4 out system then maybe that big lumbering PF wouldn't be a good fit. As far as recommending players, I'm not getting into that rabbit hole. It comes down to what YOU want from each position and your cap space. Don't rely too much on the game's "systems." The Spurs can be kind of similar to how I'm building my Barons though, because I am doing so around a young promising SF (and they got Leonard).

For starting lineup the only hard requirements are that my guards can hit the 3. I'm flexible when it comes to my starting frontcourt. As long as I have a stretch 4, a rebounding machine, and a interior defender on my roster I'm set. Preferably two of those roles will be filled by one guy, e.g. a rebounding interior defender. Ideally that is my starting center while my PF is a stretch guy, but if the situation calls for it I'll change the lineup. I need a strong backcourt defender on my roster, whether a starter or not is not important.

How many years can you play a MyGM save? I remember previous years being anywhere from 50-80 years.

Has anyone ran into a glitch where you upload a draft class, check the mock draft, only to see that there are no Centers at all? Hate this glitch. Is there any fix for this?

Anyone get an error/glitch that erases a player's statistics for the current season?

I started a myleague with the Bulls. I'm now in March 2018.

James Harden has played the entire year, but his stats say 0.0 across the board. He also went from the leader of the MVP race to no longer on it.

myleague question:

is it possible to do a expansion draft for the whole league?

i mean all teams pick new rosters / or you exchange all teams with expansion/new teams and do a expansion draft?

i only found the way to add expansion teams, but i cant delete the "actual" teams, any ideas?

MyGM glitch...

I’m in year 15 of my mavs sim GM season, and I pretty much have my starting lineup set. But, for some reason whenever I rebuild my starting lineup, 2k decides to put a 72 overall center in the starting lineup over my 83 overall center & they put a 69 overall rookie Shooting Guard over a 79 overall Shooting Guard...anyone else encounter this problem? If so is there a fix other than manually fix it yourself?

Thread seems pretty dead but maybe someone can answer this question. I bought the game recently and started a new myLeague with default settings except 2 expansion teams. However it quickly became apparent that the default settings have a severe mismatch between the cap and the salaries players demand.

5 years in, every team, even the Rebuilding teams, are way over the cap. Most teams 50 million or more over, with a couple even 90 million over.

Nobody can sign free agents unless you have Bird rights. Nobody can offer RFAs any money. A 92 OVR RFA just signed the qualifying offer because nobody offered them anything. Trades to shed cap for upcoming free agents are impossible because nobody can take on salary.

Is there any way to fix this in an existing myLeague? Will it eventually sort itself out? (I've put draft class quality at 75 which may not even be high enough, but if all the generated players are of worse quality then maybe that will 'fix' this problem....).

Something weird just happened in mygm.

So I started a new mavs MyGM and the first thing I did was traded for the wizards first round pick and then I traded for the Knicks first round pick (both unprotected) long story short, end of the season I go to the draft lottery and I was projected to get the Knicks number 1 pick and then when I go to the draft, for some reason the Knicks had there pick at number 1 and I had my original pick at 20 something and I still had the wizards pick at 15. What the hell happened
