Thats why everytime i finish a 2k session i backup all the game save files (on PS4, press the "options" button while on the 2K18 game , Upload/Download save data, and upload everything). Sometimes i even copy it to a usb just in case.

(Had the same issue last year, luckily i had a previous backup so 2k restored my player completly)

I had a ticket in for 2 days and no response. I'm a pretty patient guy but i'm starting to get really frustrated! I understand this problem is wide-spread but geez.

Main reason I'm getting annoyed is because I spent $50+ on VC and have lost it. This is completely unacceptable.

At this rate I just want my VC refuned ASAP so I can just restart my MyPlayer. Also, I want assurances this won't happen again or what the root-cause for this problem is.

Its karma for anyone who thought they could pay an extra $50+ to have an advantage over anyone. Sorry but not sorry, play the game with integrity and not with American Express.

Didn't spend a cent and still lost my player, whether you spent money or not this sucks in every aspect, it's been 24 hrs and I have gotten a reply since I replied to their automated email. It sucks for anyone affected, I know you'd be singing a different tune if your player you spent hours grinding on disappeared. Don't be ignorant.

If my player disappeared I'd make another one. Bugs are in the game, the fact that people knowingly drop $100 extra to gain an advantage and it blows up in their face is gratifying. I love this thread, keep em coming.

People like you make me sick. It has nothing to do with anyone buying vc. It has everything to do with their incompetence, it's not a small one time bug either. Players have been being deleted for the last 3 years. Time investment in this grind is huge. And your 2nd player can get deleted as well. The game is advertised as being complete, which is what we paid for, and they allowed it to be released early. You make no sense and you're ignorant to the fact that we as consumers are getting ripped off and it's people like you who are sadly the majority and reasons it's not ever going to change.

Bro, no offense but this is just trolling. What about people who actually grinded their characters with no money spent and obtained badges and earned their stuff before this crash happened? Meanwhile, while there are a ton of 80 rated players still on the Playgrounds/Pro-Am grinding and getting a heads up on them so when they even do get these characters back, they're at even more of a disadvantage.

But that's okay according to you, let even worse disadvantages happen to teach people a lesson. It's not as simple as starting over because they aren't giving you, your progress back. If I lost my 65 PG that I grinded with badges and around 30 Career games played, you better believe I'd be more mad than I was about losing preorder VC.

Edit: One of the reasons that posts like that annoy me is because you don't realize you're arguing against your own cause. People who spent their money are going to get their VC or player back and won't have a hard time grinding out for badges being an 80 overall even though it stinks that they have to do this period. People who actually grinded for days, got their badges and earned VC through the game lose all the career they played, the badges they got and have to do it all again at a low overall going through every single cut scene again. I don't even like segregating the community like people do but this is terrible for everyone, at all angles and doesn't further the anti buy VC agenda, it's only going to encourage it more once it's fixed because going through the grind more than once with the same player is crazy.

Another glitch occurring: XP progress is being reset to 0 or even into the negatives!

Yep.. everyone's lost everything from the sounds of it on Twitter.. whether you bought the Legend Edition, the regular game, whatever.. and whether you threw a bunch of money into buying VC .. they better at least give the VC back

I went into the 'manage files' screen and had a 7'0 center and 6'3 SG files in there that were 60 OVR and I hadn't actually created, either.. but (of course) my 6'5 SG is gone (as we all know).. .. not sure I'll start a new My Career until they at least announce something's fixed.. the Legend Edition VC being wiped out has to be refunded..

MyCareer Backup Save
Does anyone know if this is possible and how to? With all of the issues of saves becoming corrupted and going missing......could we simply also save/copy our file to something like an external hard

Try using the File Explorer on Xbox1 while you have a flash drive plugged on.

I'm not sure how to back up files offline on the XB1.

I'll try this myself when I get the chance.
