Clearly you think you're a superstar and you're in this thread to tell us all how good you are. If you are not having any issues with dunking why are you even here? Oh that's right my bad you're here to tell us you have no issues and we all want NBA JAM and Live. There are many more nicer words I can say but I'll end with I'm not the only one having issues with dunking. Now weather the new update fixed things for me to enjoy my NBA JAM style game I will find out later. Until then thanks for your input superstar off to the next thread to prove your supremacy.

No. I've stated my "skill" earlier. I'm not here to say get better. This needs to be fixed for some archetypes.

Today Mike Wang stated on twitter that they made and update with the dunks and it should be better.

But there is still an issue I'd like to talk about, idk if it is just my PG slasher or others as well after the patch, but while they do go for dunks now most of the time, my slasher will sometimes STILL go up for layups even though his on a fast break and no one is in front of him, or if his wide open in the paint and I turbo into the hoop with good stamina looking for that sweet dunk cause no one is there and he will still go for a layup. This is most apparent in the training facility where you shoot around, his still going for layups sometimes even though I'm putting the dunk inputs.

Here is video proof of me attempting to dunk in MYCOURT. Not even in an actual game, but in my court where there are no defenders and my 99 overall dunking 6'7 pure slashers goes in for a layup. I literally did a double take just to make sure what just happened and attempted the dunk again and it worked.

there is no way a 85 overall PURE slasher, with Max weight & height, should ever be unable to make an OPEN dunk. If your OPEN in the paint and go for a dunk you should always trigger the dunk animation 100% of the time like all other previous 2k. Then either get blocked from the back by your defender or it goes in. Please let 2k know.

I would estimate in game I dunk about 10 to 15% of the time now, if I am wide open and have plenty of turbo. Normally it just does the same stupid layups no matter what I do.

In team practice my rate is not even that high.

It’s annoying I have a slashing shot creator who is 6’4 and I keep laying it up like I’m freaking cp3 on the fast break I wanna boom LET ME BOOM

If people want to dunk so bad, why not make a SG or SF? Problem solved. People are creating a player position that is commonly not known for dunk highlights, but have the nerve to complain.

Because maybe some PEOPLE create their player for their Pro Am squads you know. How are you gonna go after people for picking a player skill and position that should live up to what that said arc would provide? Did we deserve to have a 88 driving dunk and 77 contact dunk mean and do absolutely nothing in a 5 On 5 game? Shame on us

If your game as a PG is solely dependent on your dunking skills, then there's something wrong with that picture.

Really? You must still watch basketball strictly from the 90’s? These new guards dunk more than anybody nowadays. Everybody isn’t Russell Westbrook, but they aren’t all Tony Parker or Kyrie either. John Wall, Damien Lillard, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jrue Holiday, Eric Bledsoe, hell even Lonzo Ball can get up.

Majority of the highlights of guys dunking come out of that lead guard position. Save me with that old school talk, guys should be able to dunk.

I want my player to dunk when he should. I am not asking him to posterize 3 players. You think anyone is going to choose a slashing archetype if they knew they could not dunk? They might choose something useful like shooting or shot creating instead if that was the case. It is easy to just pass this off as complaining if it is not effecting you, but I am sorry 2K is basically finessing all these people out of actual money spent on VC for attributes and dunks and then they are not able to dunk even in the most obvious situations. There is zero point having a slasher if they can't dunk when they should. It would be like having a shot creator who can only take set shots.

I am a pass first PG, but also move around and try to get open on cuts. It is extremely frustrating when you can't finish in an obvious dunk situation because 2K just refuses to let you even attempt a wide open dunk.

Bruh are you serious right now? If you aren’t going to provide any usefulness to the discussion rather than go after people for picking a arc to be able to do so then why are you here? Just because I want to dunk doesn’t mean I don’t have the nerve to play the position like a PG. if we can’t choose different arc to play HOW WE WANT then what’s the point of the feature? Geez I can’t believe I’m debating something that is clear as day

Whatever changes 2K has made don't even make sense. I can basically never dunk with a wide open lane when it should be an obvious dunk, but then will randomly posterize 2 people.

Even if I try to force an animation like an open reverse dunk, I just get a reverse layup every time.

In team practice I basically just lay it up every time now regardless of anything I do.

Even Kyrie can dunk just doesn't in game. Even Steph can dunk and he's about the least athletic star PG as far as pure atheletics goes lol
