Ive said this forever, that they need to use more of the rating scale, make it so its a true HOF ratings scale, because regardless what they said a few years ago, when they said thats how they were doing it not anywhere near a true HOF scale. There is a reason its 25-99, rather than 0-99, so use the the whole scale. Not saying there is players in the league right now, that need to be rated in the 30's, but more of it needs used than basically 70-99, more like 50-99.
I made a post in a roster thread about this yesterday, lol. IMO 90+ , should be those rare great players, like MJ,Bird, Magic, Wilt, West, Lebron, etc. Very few players in the game right now should be int he 90's, and after looking at the overalls a little more, there isnt a ton of 90+ right now, but there are a few that really should be in that rarified air. But once the seasons starts they will be boosting players up and there will end up being several 90+ players.
I will say I think 1 of the problems with the who rating system, is it dont devalue a players defense as much as it should. The last couple yrs I have made my own roster, and for example Harden, I lowered him down like 20-25 pts in about every defensive area, along with lowering his hustle, as he only hustles when the ball is in his hands on offense, lol, yet it barely dropped his overall.
Now Ive never been brave enough to rate every player in the game on a HOF scale, as I didnt want to spend all that time to only find out it broke the game, and sim stats. So its possible thats why they dont actually use the who scale like it should be, because it might have a negative impact on the gameplay and more likley sim stats, is where it would likely cause major issues, is my guess anyway. And they already do a crap job of coding simulation stats in career modes, like MyLeague and MyGM, so main reason I havent take the time to really get deep into redoing the ratings scale. Although I might give it a try this yr, if MyLeague and MyGM ever gets fixed so they are playable.
