Has there still not been any details of what the patch was? It has been almost a full 24 hours since release."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
The one good thing about being a mainly offline player is that I'm so used to 2K tuning this game base on online complaints that I have learned to easily adjust. Layups being missed were a problem for me as well so I upped layup success by about 5 from the default and I now get a pretty realistic layup success/fail rate. So when 2K eventually tune up the layups I'll drop layup success down by 5 from the default.
As far as the disappearing My Players I wonder if this is a result of people re-setting their My Players over and over during the prelude? I reset mine a couple of times and I'm wondering is that why my 6'6' sg with 77 armspan is running around with midget arms.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
I've found a very odd glitch while playing in PNO after the latest patch...it happens when I adjust my ACE settings. While today is my 1st day going online, I cant confirm that this glitch wasnt in the previous iteration of the game before the patch.I'm a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan!! You see what had happened was someone gave the patch notes to Steve the intern and he was supposed to type it up and submit it.
But then during lunch Steve finally got the nerve to ask Rebecca from HR for her phone number and he wrote it on the back of the list. When he called he realized she gave him a fake number so he threw the piece of paper away.
Since that was the only copy they had to send out a company email asking programmers what they did. Programmers cannot remember cause they are all potheads* and can barely remember what they had for lunch

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
I only think it's realistic when it's a blowout. Choosing me as POG being up 5 with 2-3 minutes left is very unrealistic to me. Also sometimes it doesn't show. So I always have to call timeout to make sure I see it before the game ends. Just believe end games for POG. Could do it early on blowouts though.

But a lot of real broadcasts choose a POTG regardless of who won. Like if Westbrook goes off for 50/14/16 and the Thunder lose by 30, he's still clearly POTG isn't he?Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
ask yourself this question. does a real life nba player that probably has super large hands and can palm the ball at will. lets say that guy has a 90 layup rating and he's 6'10 with hops. are you telling me he can only make a layup if he releases it perfectly at the same time every time? if that were the case a lot of your favorite nba guys would be trash in real life.
on layups there are different release points(we're talking real life). you hold it longer you release lower or higher on the glass. you release it to quickly and it backs off the glass to hard. you can toss it up high and have it water fall off the backboard into the basket. all sorts of release points to make layups in real life. if its all about the buzz in your stick. then that means there is only ONE release point for layups. even with a super high rated layup guy. that is not realistic at all. then i heard mike wang said on twitter that if you release after or before that perfect release point, the chance of making the layup is then relying on your guys ratings. again, my guy is rated a 90 in layups. So that tells me he should be making most of them especially without being defended. But he doesnt. thats how and why i know the layups are broken.Comment
