What's the value for LeBron, and love (separately) in the trade finder?

And also what's real life realistic trades for those Guy's?

Lebron should have a no trade clause so you would have to edit that if you want to trade him. The Cavs wouldn't ever trade Lebron in real life even when they would be able to get a lot of assets for him.

Forgot about the NTC.... if it wasn't an issue in the league... what are realistic offers for him? .... would a team give up a young star on the rise for an aged LeBron? (Embiid, KAT, Greek freak) or older stars and picks? Of just picks?

I think it would be draft picks and unproven players or aging players. You might also want the cavs to throw a bad contract with it like Thompson or JR. I would say either a big city team or a team where he makes them a legit title team.

It’s kinda tricky as in 2k Lebron always accepts his option

As far as love they would be as good number of teams that would trade for him in mine I traded him to the wizards for a deal around porter. I think this was in year 3 when love had a new Big contract

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread

Hopefully someone's still watching this thread because I've got an interesting case and I'm looking for some input!

I'm using the rad 04-05 roster with 30 team control. Currently in the 07-08 season. It's three days before the trade deadline and the Timberwolves are sitting 10 games under .500 with little hope of making the playoffs. With a year and a half left on his contract, it's time to trade Garnett to a contender. (The move to the Celtics never happened because the Wolves never really fell out of contention until now.)

I've picked out 4 teams that I think Garnett would waive his no trade clause for. (I'm just going to edit it away so he doesn't actually have a say.) I've decided that the ideal package for KG includes three first rounders, two prospects with years left on their rookie deal, and a dude to match the salaries. These are the possibilities:

SPURS. Currently in 7th place in the West. Going strong with the core of Duncan, Tony, and Manu. They can offer:
-Latrell Sprewell (expiring contract, 37 years old, pretty much beat)
          -Ersan Ilyasova (mid 70s overall)
          -Thiago Splitter (low 70s overall)
          -First round picks in '08, '09, '11.

ROCKETS. They won the title in '06 when they added Ray Allen. It's him, T-Mac, Yao, and some bums pretty much. Currently 4th in the West. They can offer:
-Drew Gooden (he's like an 82 overall I think, 2 years left on his deal)
          -Carl Landry (low 70s)
          -Marcus Williams (low 70s)
          -First round picks in '08, '09, '11.

KINGS. A surprise playoff contender with assets to spare. Their starting five is Bibby, Kevin Martin, Trevor Ariza, Zach Randolph, and Brad Miller. Currently 6th in the West. They can offer:
-Z-BO. He's like an 86 and entering his prime, but he's coming up on a player option so there's no guarantee he'll stay in Minnesota.
-Danny Granger. (Like an 82. He's currently their 6th man behind Ariza for... reasons?)
-Spencer Hawes. (Rookie contract, low 70s.)
-Kings picks in '09 and '11.
-Warriors pick in '08. The Warriors are currently 10th in the West but have a winning record. This could be in the lottery or maybe not...

CAVS. Young LeBron and KG would be gross. If the trade went through, the rest of the squad would be pretty thin -- they'd need production from Leandro Barbosa, Varejao, and like... Sasha Pavlovic?? Currently 5th in the East. They can offer:
-Ilgauskas. (Mid 80s but getting old. Like 2 years left on a bad contract but the rebuilding Wolves probably don't care about that.
-Two of the following three prospects, all on their rookie deals still. JJ Reddick, Big Baby Davis, and Jarrett Jack.
          -First round picks in '08, '09, '11.

Soooo.... I know that's a lot and the info is somewhat incomplete. But which of these deals do you think the Wolves would take? Are none of them good? Are they too much for 1.5 years of KG? Thoughts??

fun and interesting question and I was just thinking about this thread and if I should bump it back up.

Its hard to say for sure when your talking retro players as their potential and age are confusing. I would look for a promising rookie player in return because if they trade him to playoff teams they picks will be 20's and not worth as much. So someone one rookie deal with all star type potential and a few 1st.

I'd trade KG for ZBo and both picks in 09 and 11.

Started a MyLeague with Memphis. Made a trade I heard on a Ringer NBA pod: sent pick 5, C. Parsons to LAC for picks 12&13 and Tobias Harris. Now in 18-19 and am looking to move Gasol before the deadline. Any ideas?

Considering LeBron is probably leaving and so is Kawhi, do you think that Spurs would trade Leonard for LeBron and what would be the package? LeBron is best in the game but is 33. Leonard is injured and is acting like a basic bitch IMO with quitting on the team.

From a real world side of things if Lebron goes to the Spurs then Leonard would also be on the spurs. All the signs now seem to point to Leonard staying however if they can trade him for a package of win now players + future assets like from the Celtics, 76ers or Lakers that might work.

                    Something like

                    76ers Get
                    Leonard

                    Spurs Get
Fultz, Saric, Bayless, 10th pick and you can throw in another young player if you would like

*in 2k if you wait till the offseason cap holds are off JJ and Johnson it might work without Bayless Contract

Celtics - The easiest way would be to sign Smart for about 12 million and trade him, Brown and a protected 1st.

Nah, I'm specifically asking about Kawhi for LeBron trade. Because LeBron is open to a S&T and Kawhi is yet to have a sit-down with Pop to talk about the whole 'gone missing' situation. I mean, would trade straight up be okay + fillers? Because it works for Cavs because all contracts would end in 2020/21 seasons and that is a lot of cap space and you have rights to Love + Leonard which is a decent duo if you ask me and Cavs can try again without LeBron if he leaves(he IS leaving). It works for Spurs because...they get LeBron. Simple as that.

I mean, this trade idea is as crazy as Isaiah Thomas for Clarkson I put in this thread months before trade happened.

If I am the Cavs and Lebron goes I would def take back Leonard in a sign and trade. You can try a year of Leonard and Love as the big 2 and if that doesn't work you can trade both and start a longer rebuild. That sign and trade package is much better then what the Rockets can offer them.

IRL I don’t think LeBron goes to SAS if they plan on trading Kawhi. If you’re trying to stay realistic, I don’t think it makes sense. If you’re wanting to just swap, I would think just making contracts match would be ok.

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread

                                Hi
I'm doing a DeMarcus Cousins to Miami Heat MyLeague simulation and i'm doing pretty well. What I did was took over Pelicans for a day and did sign-and-trade with DeMarcus Cousins for Hassan Whiteside, Justice Winslow and a 2nd round pick (I did this after reading an article on how Heat should pursue Cousins in this offseason as need a true star player).

I signed Jerami Grant in offseason to a 3Y/$12mil deal. I also signed role players in Raul Neto, Okaro White, Ty Lawson and Maxi Kleber (1 year deals). Maxi Kleber had a great summer league and turned out to be an amazing bench player. He somehow managed to push Olynyk out of rotation. So my team now looks like this:

                                Dragic, Waiters, Richardson, Grant, Cousins
bench: Neto, T. Johnson, J. Johnson, Kleber, Adebayo
                                reserves: Nwaba, White, Mickey, Olynyk

Dragic and Cousins are playing great and Grant is doing a great job in defense. My bench guys are also doing well (Neto being the worse among them) and the only problem I have are Richardson and Waiters. I'll keep Waiters for now but I've been looking into the possibility of trading Josh Richardson. I wanted him to be a piece in Cousins Miami Heat team but I'm not so sure anymore. The trade I like the best is trade with Mavericks for Harrison Barnes. Mavs team looks like this:

Smith Jr., Matthews, Barnes, Bagley III, J. Okafor

They're basically still rebuilding and I don't see them getting into playoffs any time soon. This means that trading for Barnes is an option, I guess. I liek the follwing deal:

Mavs get a nice replacement for Barnes in Richardson, while also getting Olynyk and my first rounder in exhange for him. Olynyk is on a somewhat bad contract but given that that A.J. Hammons is their backup center, they'll definitely be able to play him. Hammons is in the deal just to make the salaries work. I'm currently sitting 3rd in the east so my pick probably won't be in the lottery, but it's still a first rounder.

So, my question is - does this deal seem OK for both sides? Would Mavs take two youngish players and a pick for Barnes? And am I making the right move by trading for him? Should I throw somethign else into deal to make it moer realistic?

This should help me create my "big three" in Dragic, Barnes and Cousins.
