Barnes got injured for 10 weeks and trading for him is no longer an option. I guess I'll have to make a different move. :/

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Is it possible Phoenix trades the #1 to Chicago, possibly a #7 and LaVine in exchange for the #1? My thinking is this:
-Phoenix gets LaVine who has potential to be a real All-Star to pair up with Devin Booker. They also get the 7 pick that could be a decent player as well.
-Chicago doesnt have to pay LaVine a max and keeps a ton of cap space, while building a core of Markkanen, Ayton, and Dunn that'll turn into that core plus 1-2 max contracts as a starting lineup.
Personally, I think its a good trade for both teams, but i might be a bit biased due to me being from Chicago.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
on the like 5% chance suns trade the pick.. dunn, portis, and 7 for knight + 1 would be an option i guess.
Its also highly unlikely chicago would take ayton with the 1st overall since they need a defensive 5 next to lauri. Doncic @ 1-4, or JJJ/Bamba at 3-5 would be trade spots for chicago to move up.Comment

If Ingram is being shipped it is for Kawhi with a first rounder at most. Deng's dumping value is two firsts.Comment

Its prob about a even swap as far as value goes. Do the Bulls plan on paying Levine and playing them together or letting him walk? I'm not sure what Dunn's rating is for you I know for me his rating is low, but I believe his rating increased during the NBA year..Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
In terms of value, short term, it's close. Long term, though? I wouldn't do that trade if I'm the Mavs. The Finnisher might be a replacement for Dirk, but this is a point guard's league right now (and for the foreseeable future) and Markkannen will be reliant on PGs to get him the ball.
If I'm Dallas, I'm asking the Bulls to send me Dunn+Markkannen for Smith+a future (protected -- say lottery protected) pick, and that's only if I'm confident Dunn can actually develop into a solid starter (I am not confident of that personally).
Smith is legit and so is Markkannen, but long-term projections -- in my mind -- have Smith being more valuable, especially to Dallas who have struggled mightily to fill that PG spot since Jason Kidd left them. I'd rather not try to replace Dirk with Markkannen too, seems like trying to capture lightning in a bottle twice.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Possibly. Assuming you want Donic to be the primary (and only) ballhandler, then sure, trade Smith -- but in the today's NBA, multiple ballhandler offenses (see Houston) thrive. I would rather have Smith and Donic together (staggering the minutes so one of them is the primary on the floor with a bench mob), play them at the beginning of the game together, then towards the end, and bet on them figuring it out.
I like Donic a lot (totally should have been 1st overall), but I'd rather have him and Smith at the beginning of his career. If the pairing doesn't look like it'll work after year one, you can still move on from Smith next summer without hurting his value too much.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
What do you guys think about Monroe, Middleton, and a 2020 1st for Millsap and Jokic?
Main thing I can see is getting rid of our two highest contracts for a solid big (which MKE needs) in Millsap and a young future star in Jokic. Even though Jokic would be getting paid a lot soon, we could possibly let Jabari walk because of it and go with Millsap, Jokic, and Maker as our big rotation? After that I would maybe trade Henson and/or Delly or something around that for a shooter.
Basically would this be realistic and/or smart? Or am i going kinda crazy here.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Realistically, jokic and middleton are both "untouchable" as for as their teams go. Only way jokic would even be considered to be moved is for a star player and maybe some extra unprotected picks.
If you did want to do it anyways though it would have to be after jokics new salary kicks in for the 2018+ season
parker (sign and trade), middleton, maker, unprotected 1st for jokic, millsap..this is as close to a "fair" trade i could think of because its really far from realistic because giannis isnt being traded and nuggets dont have a need for bledsoeComment
