Re: NBA 2K18 Patch #5 Available Now on PS4, Soon For Xbox One, PC & Switch - Patch No
Is there more Rim Protection by the opposing CPU team? I find it fairly easy dunking (facials) when I turn the corner after a high pick and roll play I call.
I’m using Demar Derozan and can perform 3-5 dunks on the CPU opponent and I’m on Superstar but in real life he would probably perform a facial dunk on an opponent 2-3 times a year during a 82 game season.2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

I can kinda appreciate the fact that they updated some of the portraits... but they were selective about it it seems... I'm of the mindset either do it right all the way or don't do it at all... they've had more than enough time to get these portraits compiled for this supposed update... it just looks mismatched to me... hopefully they update it as they go along
Edit: the mistake they made with Marquese Chriss' portrait (putting Tyler Ulis' summer league photo on him) is still there lmao... like seriously... at the very least put the right photo on the right player... and tyler ulis doesn't have a photo just a generated image... come on... and FIX THE CPU NOT CALLING TIMEOUTS...Last edited by jetsman92; 11-02-2017, 12:12 PM.Comment

So anyone with Shot Creators (pure or primary), did the 'shooter fatigue movement' patch inadvertently deliver a killshot to us like it did last year?Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch #5 Available Now on PS4, Soon For Xbox One, PC & Switch - Patch No
Maybe it wasn't discovered because developers and game testers don't think like cheesers and cheaters? Most common cheat tactics in ANY game are discovered AFTER the game has been released. Most developers will address exploits in patches, but the cheaters seem to always find a way.
For example, Da Czar nerfed the 5-Out cheese, and those fools found another to implement it. When it comes to combating cheaters and cheesers, it will always be a cat and mouse game.
Once the cheesers find out that the zig-zag exploit is not as effective, they'll just find out something else to use, and you'll be complaining once again about how 2K didn't find [insert new cheese] before release.
Bluntly: Game Testers don't actively look for glitches and Bugs. They report if they find one, but they wouldn't know to specifically look at how moving left to right repeatedly works

So when I checked last night there were still a lot of players that did not have updated portraits such as Melo, George, Wade and many others. Today when I loaded the game up they have their updated portraits and many other players as well.

This. Game testers don't go in and say "Let's break this game". Hell, usually it's a combination of focus group testers and professional testers. But they go in and play. No one looks for broken things, they're mostly there to make sure things work. Like, your game doesn't delete when you press play now. Stuff like that.

To Whom It May Concern at 2KSports:
Hey! If you want to fly me out there for a week, plus pay me $20/Hour, I will gladly play test your game before release.
Sincerely,
A Fan
EDIT: Given this day and age of social media, how come game companies don't use forum members or fans to be game testers? Call me crazy, but I think it would actually be more cost effective than using professional game testers.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 11-02-2017, 01:18 PM.Comment

Exactly! There's a few bugs here and there where I'm feel like any random game tester should have found, but that's assuming that the test is familiar with the game at the same level that I would be.

I’m totally in agreement with you ksuttonjr76! I’ll even sign a NDA(Non discloser Agreement) as well. 2K let’s do this! Bring fans from OS!

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch #5 Available Now on PS4, Soon For Xbox One, PC & Switch - Patch No
Had 2 CPU players get their 2nd foul midway through the first quarter, and immediately get subbed out. They definitely weren't fatigue or minutes subs as they were the only ones who left the floor at that time.
Personally I didn't really notice the whole "CPU not subbing in foul trouble" thing before this patch so I'm probably not a good source of information. But it might be something to keep an eye on, for the the guys that were having trouble with this.

Haven't played in a week or so, looking forward to trying the new patch.* I'm interested to read the comments about the pace being slower, actually doesn't sound bad to me.* I've felt all along that the players were gliding around out there, I'd much rather see a weighted feel like on Live.

When are you guys seeing timeouts NOT beimg called?? The cpu has been calling timeouts correctly in my gameplay since patch 2 or 3...thinking about it now Im pretty sure it was patch 2 that fixed this for me.
