    Spoiler
I think in general some of the Raps bench has been underrated. Guys already mentioned like Delon, OG and Pascal are underrated in at least one area, I can't re-call Vanvleets exact rating but I remember thinking they were harsh to him too?

Raps bench is currently 2nd in Off. Rating and 3rd in Def. Rating.

A few more whilst I'm at it:

Clint Capela's shot IQ at 78 is too low? As we know he's having a fantastic season, over 68% from the field. He will never get close to such numbers with such a low shot IQ. 85+ for sure.

Brandon Ingram's 79 open 3 is too soon. He's still shooting under 31% from 3 on the season, his shot from deep is still very much in development. Hesitates to take it even when he's open.

Will Hernangomez should not be 2 rating's above Kyle O'Quinn. O'Quinn has exceptionally well-rounded numbers, 2.5+ blocks, 1+ steals, 4 off and 9.5 def rebounds, 4.5+ assists (all per 36) and is shooting well from both free throw line and field. Hernangomez can't get any minutes that aren't garbage time..

Rodney Hood is averaging 22.6 points per 36 and is shooting almost 42% from 3 on the season. Stepping up in Hayward's absence after a slightly shaky start. Offensive consistency at 60 up to 70-75?

Time for Chandler Parsons to have his second bump in 3? Currently has 83 for both open and contested, shooting an exceptional .515 from 3 as of today.

Perhaps Covington'scontested 3's need a boost too? (currently 82) He happily pulls with someone in his face like they aren't there, should be much closer to his open 3 rating (91). Can't find any stats related to contested 3s

Thabo Sefolosha shot IQ 70? He's averaging just under 50% from the field and 43.3% on 3's, he rarely takes poor shots. Also, 76 open three slightly too low, (expecting 3 to come down).

I have a question for everyone. You how I bring up the subject of a player ratings going up and down. How the hell do you rate a player that's not getting minutes? Lol (Willy in this situation)

And doesn't Covington need a defense boost or something. His contested 3's are super low.

While we are on the Rockets. Does anyone see them as offensive crazy? Feel as though your limited with them. I have no clue if this is a game design problem or roster.

          Capela = 79 by formula.

Brandon Ingram's 79 open 3 is too soon. He's still shooting under 31% from 3 on the season, his shot from deep is still very much in development. Hesitates to take it even when he's open.
To your point, Ingram is 1-8 on threes in his last 8 games. Players who wear Laker jerseys will always be overrated in 2K, that's just how it is.

The issue is mostly that O'Quinn is massively underrated (and has been for three years).

Rodney Hood is averaging 22.6 points per 36 and is shooting almost 42% from 3 on the season. Stepping up in Hayward's absence after a slightly shaky start. Offensive consistency at 60 up to 70-75?
The only thing Hood has really improved is his Usage rate (to be expected with Hayward gone). He's shooting more like he did in 2016 though, so a 10 point boost is justified.

Time for Chandler Parsons to have his second bump in 3? Currently has 83 for both open and contested, shooting an exceptional .515 from 3 as of today.
Parsons was 41% in 2016 and a revert is surely justified (since last year's 27% clearly an injury-addled outlier)

Perhaps Covington's contested 3's need a boost too? (currently 82) He happily pulls with someone in his face like they aren't there, should be much closer to his open 3 rating (91). Can't find any stats related to contested 3s
Covington is assisted on 72% of his shots (97% of his threes) which indicates he isn't really contested on most of his shots.

Thabo Sefolosha shot IQ 70? He's averaging just under 50% from the field and 43.3% on 3's, he rarely takes poor shots. Also, 76 open three slightly too low, (expecting 3 to come down).

          Sefolosha = 64 by formula.

This is his career year by far (at age 33), which probably means his numbers will decline as sample gets larger (but if they don't, he's certainly worthy of significant boosts).

That's not true though. I've watched alot of Sixers games this year, and he takes and makes A LOT of contested threes. He's just so tall and long, that he just shoots over defenders. It's actually ridiculous how good he is at nailing contested long range jumpers.

I am sorry rashidi but assisted shots do not mean wide open shots. Assisted shot could be as smothered as non-assisted shot.

He is shooting 50% on threes where he was 'tightly' guarded - 2-4 feet from defender on 1.4 attempts per game.

But he's shooting42.5% on threes where he was wide open - 8+ ft from defender on 2.5 attemtps.

Sorry but that's exactly what Assisted shots are. Spot-Up shots are generally going to be open shots given that they are a product of ball movement. Hence why spot-ups are the least blocked of any shot type.

Sure, they can be defended well, but let's not pretend Covington is Reggie Miller or Ray Allen here.

Watching Covington's highlights he is not contested very often. Feel free to compare this to tape of Kristaps Porzingis in case you are confused as to what "contested" means.

But assisted shots are not exclusively open shots. Go to nba.com and check his percentages. Would've guessed you do that you instead you use flawed logic.

Assisted shot could be wide open shot or smothered shot..it just means that player passing to him got an assist for it.

More like it's just as flawed to SOLELY use small sample shooting percentages to dictate "Contested" ratings.

                    3PT w/ "Tight" (2-4 ft) defense
                    James Harden: 12-47 (25%)
                    Stephen Curry: 8-31 (25%)
                    Kevin Durant: 11-29 (38%)
                    Allan Crabbe: 12-24 (50%)
                    Robert Covington: 11-22 (50%)
                    Damian Lillard: 3-19 (16%)
                    Paul George: 2-19 (11%)

WOMG looks like Covington and Allan Crabbe need mega boosts and everybody else gotta get tanked, Steph Curry like a 60 Contested 3pt TBQH, Lillard like a 50 TBQH

(BTW, wanna guess which of the above players are Spot-Up shooters?)

                      Covington "Tight 3pt"
                      2014: 1-2 (50%)
                      2015: 42-124 (34%)
                      2016: 52-148 (35%)
                      2017: 30-100 (30%)
                      2018: 11-22 (50%)
                      Career: 136-396 (34%)

Pardon my skepticism on literally 5% of his career sample.

If Covington so much as misses his next 5 shots he drops all the way to 40%. 20 shots ain't production to hang hats on.

Never said that. Please do not put words into my mouth to disprove what I actually said.

For my personal roster I actually use last three seasons to judge a player. RoCo is actually 30% last year on 1.5 attempts and year before that on 35% from three on 2.2 attempts on tight coverage from three.

So he definitely is at least average 3pt shoter when tightly guarded. But the truth is that RoCo should have slightly higher contested 3pt rating than Harden (NOT talkin about any other ratings). For example. But lower than, for example, Lillard. Because of track record. It's the other side of spectrum how they got their 3pts off but we have OTHER attributes and tendencies for that.

You think Kris Dunn Dunking can get updated ? It’s current at a 55 and has a 35 contact dunk. Also think his hustle could go up some , dude is tenacious . Also his defensive consistency is a 65. DPBM on the season is 2.3 so far , DRating 102 . Pick Pocket badge maybe upped to a silver or gold , he’s 2nd in the nba in steals with 2.1 per. Also Pick Dodger upped to silver and his intangibles could prob get a lil raised it’s like a 45 which is the lowest in the team by a good deal .
