I’m going to keep pushing a home court advantage dynamic but this is a spectacular list.
NBA sim fans have it really good.

It sounds like the Player DNA feature might come to the rescue for this. It sounds like you can copy everything, from the attributes to the tendancies to (most importantly) their appearance. If it works the way I'm imagining then you can copy them and then edit the ages.“Mazique Commentary
Thes draft classes will be editable so that you’re able to fill in the gaps for players 2K doesn’t have a license to use. I still don’t know if the players from the draft classes will be accessible in any other aspect of the game for roster building. You will, however, be able to edit the legends, but not their ages.
This is probably the only thing that I’m worried about. We can’t edit legends age again. I hope that’s only for the legend draft classes.
All the other things are just amazing. 2K get better year after yearComment

Some Q&A would be amazing at this point to get an overhaul understanding of what we can, and how we can, where we can with devs coming by and dropping some gems as we've done in porevious years.

Re: 'NBA 2K19' MyLeague, MyGM, Create-A-Player Blog And Interview With Erick Boenisch
Actually, I think the NFL is much, much stricter than the NBA. And part of that has to do with the dynamics of the NFL, as the players union there doesn't have nearly the sway and public pull that the NBA players union does. In the NFL the owners are kings and the NFL players are just their very well-compensated pawns.
In the NBA, the revenue split between the owners and players is about 50/50, and the contracts of the players -- for most of them -- are fully guaranteed. That gives the players much more security and allows them to exert their influence without fear of retribution, which can't be said in the NFL as any player that steps out of line will get blackballed/cut and the NFL players union doesn't have much it can do about it.
So, I don't 100% think it's EA's fault that Madden is the way it is. Certain aspects of the game and certain things about the game are designed so the NFL can only be seen in the best light, regardless of whether it is reality. I would say it's probably a 60/40 split in favor of EA (because, let's face it, they have a history across multiple game genres of doing bad things), but the NFL certainly has a set of strict guidelines they impose on EA.
That said, despite those guidelines, EA has put Madden on PC this year for the first time in forever and I fully expect the community to mod the hell out of that game into something amazing. I don't believe Madden will reach that level out of the box for many years, if ever, and that's due to a lot of the NFL restrictions that likely exist.Comment

Only if the NFL also determines what EA is able to add to their other sports games too.
I do think the NFL is somewhat stricter, but it's a common theme across all of their games.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse

eh, from what i've read from FIFA players on PC it's nearly impossible to mod FIFA so I don't have high hopes for anything positive coming out of Madden.
i won't be buying Madden this year but if someone manages to mod it to get an actual franchise mode, then i'll pirate it somewhere for sure.Comment

Re: 'NBA 2K19' MyLeague, MyGM, Create-A-Player Blog And Interview With Erick Boenisch
I am extremely excited and optimistic about historic draft classes and what that could potentially mean for creating past teams/legends they don't have the rights to. My question is they said that if you copy a players DNA then that player is fully editable. I assume that means their player models appearance, and not just there gear. If that is the case, then specifically I'm wondering could I take say 2013 Miami Heat LeBron player model copy him and edit his facial hair to a stubble instead of a full beard so you could have his 2009 LeBron appearance? Provided that they don't include the 2009 Cavaliers team, or take 2007 LeBron and edit his facial hair to a goatee to make him more closely resemble 2005 Cavaliers LeBron? Really hoping these draft classes have player models that actually are true to their draft class year physical appearance. Like 2003 Draft Class LeBron should not look like current LeBron's player model. However if there are mistakes in terms of hair or facial hair, will we be able to edit those features? Really interesting if you wanted to edit the all time Spurs Dennis Rodman for example and give him a blonde Mohawk. Those additions could be huge for roster makers.Comment

I hope 2K takes the stage to set the bar for presentation, crowd atomosphere, and overall immersion for sports games the way they have done with franchise.
Disagree with those blaming NFL for Madden's shortcomings. Yeah they cant put some things in because of the NFL but that doesnt mean they cant have a realistic line, a good progression system, functioning team AI or QB AI ,etc51 & 55

It needs to be said that this almost certainly isn't the devs' fault.
Remember that lawsuit years ago, from tattoo artists claiming copyright/trademark rights to their tattoo designs?
I can't blame Visual Concepts for wanting no part of THAT bull.Comment
