Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
I've said this for the past couple of years and I'll say thiis again. You 2k fans have NOTHING to be upset about. The amount of time and effort, as well as how much fan feedback these developers take and put into every installation of the game is absolutely unparalleled.
Coming over from FIFA, PES, NHL and Madden, to reading about what 2k has produced for just ONE mode for their series is unreal. And that mode isn't even ultimate team. Again, you all have NOTHING to complain about. This game really i miles past every other sports game, maybe even every other video gameComment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
I said in another thread that there would have to be major changes to MyGM/MyLeague in order for me to consider picking up 2k19 day one and this blog right here has me pretty convinced that I'm gonna get it now... Hopefully the mode isn't as broken as it was last year at launch... With all of the new features and moving parts of it my biggest concern is whether or not they all work correctly... 2k18 to me has been a blast to play offline all year... Hopefully they just improve on the base that they have now because it's way better than what 2k17 offeredComment

Oh nice, I missed that. Seems like I made a mistake by only reading the blog yesterday. I'll have to take a look at that interview too.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
There is a work around by just starting a franchise and just editing inside (update apply in existing franchises) MyLeague, but the downside to its when 2K adds missing players to the game you're SOL unless you start over or just create a CAP for that specific player and add him to the FA pool."Lamar Jackson is like when we would get too good at the NCAA Football video game and win every game even on Heisman"Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
Well, with the new player DNA you should just be able to go into your MyLeague and use CAP to download the individual player from 2k's player DNA library now and add them to the FA pool. So really the Player DNA in CAP should alleviate this issue to an extent. You'll still have to assign them to their team, but that would have to happen anyway.Basketball Playbooks

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
😲 was my face when reading that blog. Not a NBA fan but because of 2K's Franchise Mode I began playing the NBA2K series. The amount of detail added into 2K19 this year was just incredible. Didn't buy 2K18 because I wasn't a fan of the story mode so glad to see the traditional MyGM return. Def will preorder now.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
This is just me thinking out loud, and I know it's not really fit for this thread, but...
Being able to opt out of the MyGM story and just play it the blank-slate way?
I've been craving that for MyCareer. I guess we'll wait and see how that goes...
Don't get me wrong, I'm still pre-ordering. I'm still waiting on news on if this is all in the Switch version, because if it is, I'm getting that one.
definitely hoping since they added in a my-gm option without the storyline that they do the same thing with my career, but i won't bank on it. they baked a TON of advertisements into the my career cut scenes last year and i'm betting they do it again.Comment

Re: NBA 2K19 MyLEAGUE and MyGM Developer Blog
This game has a ludicrous amount of content!
I primarily play MyLeague and run it deep throughout the game's life cycle. I'll check out MyGM until the story ends and then bail because I like the game to naturally create its own narratives and not have one forced upon it. Now I'll be able to play MyGM without the scriped narrative and take a deep dive this year into it. Needless to say all of that will keep me busy lol.
That's just the franchise modes which can be customized to your hearts content. I'll have a look at MyCareer but until they remove the story I probably won't spend a lot of time with it but who knows.
As an offline gamer any one of those modes can last you 12 months and then some, that is an amazing amount of value and why the game easily justifies a $60 purchase each year.Comment
