The worst part of all of this is that you are not really paying for the $100 edition to play it early, it is really you have to pay for the $100 edition to play the game on time. Since Live also comes out the 7th that day was most likely the earliest date the NBA and it's license structure would allow. Therefore they are holding back the standard edition as a way to force more VC and or my team extras on day one users. Any of you that are optimistic that VC integration and microtransactions won't be as invasive this year are in for a rude awakening LMAO.

i am offline player too. i am dying to play My GM/League with many things are improvement plus new player mentorship, new injury history and etc so i paid 100 for it to play it in 4 days early access

I'm pretty sure the more expensive versions of 2k are only worth it if you're into MyTeam. that's what most of the rewards are geared at. I don't think you necessarily get more VC than paying for it straight up

You do this year by using the 10% discount that pops up most of the time when you boot up 2K18, it's 90$ for the game + 100K VC. Standard game goes for 70$, with 5K VC, and 20$ worth of VC won't buy you 95K.

yep i know but i deleted 2k18 off because of horrible defense gameplay, worst clipping, blowing by. That's okay if i don't use that discount from 2k18 menu because i want 2k to take my money for every NBA 2k games

Yeah, plus he said the MyLeague is the mode he is most excited about and I don't see the reason to spend 40 bucks more to play the game 4 days earlier if you plan to play it offline. If you want to give more money to 2k ok, but I assure you that they have enough.

Make perfect business sense for them to do this, because people over the years were willing to pay 100 plus dollars to get the game a few days early, and lets be real all the VC stuff is a result of consumers requesting a way to not have to grind because they did not have the time because of work and family.

I typically spend over $100 to get the game early off of Ebay so I have no problem spending $100 without having to search all over Ebay for it.
