Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
If you guys made a point forward or pure post build what would you do?
I'm about to hit my first 92 cap breaker for my C but oh my god it's becoming boring. This player is still my money maker though...
Messed around with builds but there's always the height/weight/wingspan balance issueLast edited by ph33; 11-19-2018, 11:12 AM.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I like number 2. I just like the versatility of being able to play with the ball or off-ball regardless of teammates. I feel like shot creators need the ball and better spacing to be effective which relies more on your teammates not being idiots. If you always play with the same people then Pure SC would probably be a good build. The real answer is Pure Sharp though.Comment

Of course, the caveat with Post Scorers is always “Will people pass you the ball in the post?” And “Will people give you space to operate?” The huge influx of stretch 4s should help with spacing at least.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
If I was going Pure Post, I’d probably go Max Size because those are the ones I find most difficult to guard. They seem to be able to create the most space with fades and bully you in the paint with drop steps. The flip side is you’ll be terrible in transition both ways. There’s still a lot of max size centers out there though so you might not get exposed too badly. The added weight and height should help with pretty mediocre rebounding stats.

Man, I wanted to make a 6'10 average weight one, but a lot of the feedback I'm getting is to get a 7'3 fat *** lolComment

Opinion on a 6'9 pure shot for Rec center.

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Playmaking primary and sharpshooting secondary is pretty much the consensus best PG/SG build in the game and it can play anything in the park, Rec or Pro-AM.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
If you played it at the 4, you could probably cook some Stretches and force some doubles. I think a well played Pure Post is the scariest matchup in the game, one on one. Fortunately for me I rarely play against ones whose teammates actually give them space to go at me. The other big runs into the paint and I know he’s only got the fade available so I just press up and get ready to jump.Comment

This build is a better catch and shoot player from the outside, so I thought at first I liked the versatility, but now I'm thinking twice about that post fade cheese lolComment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Had my best game in Rec so far this year. I’ve maybe had better games statistically but these guys were a full team, all “Pro” ranked and their Center was a max size Glass Cleaner. My team was pretty mediocre group of randoms, only the PF was skilled. I went straight beast mode on these guys. They had no answer.
Just shows the disparity in records with the huge Opponent Strength Bonus.
