Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
they had the game inside the paint better last year. i feel like almost any guard can finish a driving layup now..before only slashers were consistent from there.
why is it tougher to block shots as well? is this just another area where they listened to people crying?
as a slashing/shot in 18' there were driving dunks that i could finish in traffic my play/shot friend couldnt..its a different story this yearComment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I feel like if I have 99 ball handing, I should RARELY get ripped by anyone except for Pure Locks. 99 ball handling should mean that a play sharp shouldn't be able to rip me 90 out of 100 times.Comment

Just saw a min wingspan, 6'5 pure sharp chase down block a Pure athletic finisher in takeover.Comment

having great handles also means you should be adept at protecting the ball. even kyrie turns the ball over.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
But you do have a good point. Maybe I need to start protecting the ball more. You have any videos or tutorials to show me better ways to do this?Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
It's not about turn overs. How many times does Kyrie Irving straight up get ripped by someone who takes the ball out of his hands? I don't mind getting ripped some times. I currently have 96 ball handling and pure sharps are just knocking the ball out of my hands due to crappy ball physics in this game.

Sharps can do everything, they're given defensive stopper so you better protect the ball around the 6'4 guy with a 5'8 wingspan.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
On another note the poke ball loose/steal success is way too high in this game. I know the community cried about not getting enough steals in 2k18 but 2k never finds a good median. They always over do it. Like previously stated non defensive builds can get steals way too easily. Pointless to have high ball control when Pure Sharps who are arguably the worse defensive archetype still can poke the ball loose with ease. Makes no sense.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I'll try to clip something from Twitch to show you exactly what to do. It's a guy on there with a Pure Sharp that does the same exact method as my buddy. I'm sure I'll run across his stream later today and I'll link you to it. If not I'll get my boy to clip his method and share it.

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
thoughts on a slashing stretch 4? Wanting to make a PF build for pro-am, thought this would be an interesting take on the position that can shoot but isn't a boring pure stretch... check out the attributes/badges and tell me what you thinkComment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I'm assuming nobody knows this, but since you guys are hardcore MyPlayers, I figured I would give it a try here. What do badges in this game actually do? For example, what's the difference between silver dimer and hall of fame dimer? How many attributes does gold acrobat increase your layup rating? Is this info available anywhere?
NBA2KLab has a little charge for defensive stopper regarding how much different levels of the badge drops an opponents attributes.
How much do they drop?
When NOT in Takeover
- Hall of Fame – 9
- Gold – 7
- Silver – 5
- Bronze – 3
When in Takeover
- Hall of Fame – 15
- Gold – 10
- Silver – 8
- Bronze – 6
I'm looking for information like this regarding every other badge in the game. I'm assuming it doesn't exist, but maybe someone here knows.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I have a 6'9" sharp/athletic at the 4 it's a nice build. I shoot at a 50% clip from 3 in rec... good for shutting down pure stretch fours and getting out on the fastbreak, not a great rebounder I rely on boxing out for teammates but I can handle the ball and post up a bit. I know it's not the same build you're talking about but similarComment
