Really? I think you can get alot closer than you think.

Once you realize that Anthiny Davis would have a below default wingspan, (7'4"), it really opens up the possibilities.

I would think a 6'11" 235 lb post scoring/rim protecting PF with a wingspan in the 7'3" to 7'5" range would get pretty close.

I think people get caught up in the whole min max 88 inches stuff, instead of figuring out how long the player youre thinking of arms actually are.

I also think people overrate the importance of some ratings - boston celtics KG has like 71 block - with vertical, rim protector and good defensive instincts you can get plenty of blocks without an 80+ block rating.

I created a KG facsimile pretty well, and hes basically the original Anthony Davis.

You cant create an all-time great, but you can create someone witha similar framework, after that its up to your skills on the sticks.

You're not wrong but the way I see it, their physical freakiness is what makes them impossible to replicate. Your IQ can cover it but you definitely won't have the same all around ratings

Like you can't make a Durant build, LeBron, etc.

          Isn't LeBron slasher/shot creator?

          Anyway,

I'm making 6'11 254 lbs center. Primary post scoring, secondary playmaking. Gotta get that Pau Gasol, Nikola Jokic vibe going! I'm okay with no HOF badges since I'm mostly offline player.

I don't think such a build will be an automatic discard.

Thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.
I was a lockdown PG in NBA 2K17 so I have some experience with the build. If you are playing Pro AM you are not going to be scoring much unless you have 2 bigs who can stretch the floor. The best way to get offense is basically acting as a PF and try to pin the opponent PG with you in the post for some post offense.

On defense you will have to face a lot of screens which means you have to rely on your center to help you out because brick wall's are tough to fight through even as a lockdown.

In Park same thing on offense where the strongest play is really focusing on getting offense rebounds and pinning down the PG.

Defense is pretty good in park though.

This was all in 2k17 though so things might have changed.

Loving mine so far (6'9 sharp rim protector.) Only got to play a couple park games and a few walk on, the build turned out just as I thought it would. Defensively, Im all over the place I can literally switch on anyone and feel fine this year. Open 3's are cash too surprisingly with only 68 open 3 right now. But, so far so good cant wait til I max out the defensive badges.

Yeah for sure you can't exactly replicate the physical freakness, but you can get pretty close. And I mean, even if you're trying to make Jordan, he would be some kind of shot creator build right? Well he's the best dunker of all-time, an all-time great defender, averaged over 8 assists a game, and led the league in scoring. You're going to have to sacrifice one aspect of his game from a ratings standpoint to make him if you want his strengths to be rated as high as they are on the actual player. Is he a two-way shot creator? a two way athletic finisher? a post scoring athletic finisher? It's the same problem as with Anthony Davis ultimately - you can't recreate him because he is amazing, not because he's versatile.

My build is 6'11 and will still have mid to high 70s speed, lat quicks, vert, strength, dunk, layup, steal, rebounding, post scoring, 3pt, passing etc. The only thing I dont hit that range in is ball control and speed with ball, where I'm in the mid 60s. By doing that I sacrifice the ability to get into the high 80s or 90s in just 1 or 2 things.

I get that those guys would be in the 80s for a lot of those categories, whereas I'll only reach it in a couple, but there has to be some downside to making a huge, versatile player, otherwise thats what every single build would be.

Basically every build has a strength and a weakness. If you make a super versatile build, that versatility itself becomes your strength - and your weakness.

Anyone want to give me some feedback on their pure glass or pure rim protector big men?

I can't decide between making a scoring C or defensive PF (They seem to make the most sense to me).

I decided to go with a post scoring shot creator. 6'11 PF

Thats great to hear, thats the build I made in prelude and really enjoyed it. Are you happy with the wingspan you went with?

Turned out great actually. Went two clicks up and only got -2 mid/3pt stats (73 contested 3, 70 open 3, 70 contested 2, 68 open 2.) and -3 ball control which was already in mid 60's anyway so didnt really matter. I don't know if the sliders on park are on pro but shooting seems consistent even with only bronze catch & shoot and pick & pop. Pick & pop might be op this year lol, havent missed out of one.

Im trying to figure out which one of these would be best for proam purposes:
6'10 SF primary shot creator/secondary post
6'10 PF primary post/secondary shot creator

Im gonna be playing at the 4 anyways. Do I get enough ball control with the PF build to run pick n roll for instance? Will my 3pt be enough for open corner threes? SF has these covered for sure but weaker post badges and no TO until 94. Any ideas? We have 3 shooters and two way athletic C.
                            Thanks!

So ive seen this debate but never found a clear answer. So whats better, being 7'0 where youre faster, get more vertical or being 7'3 but lower vertical and slower? Lets say for a glass cleaner build. Which between a 7'0 and 7'3 will have the advantage?

I feel like the shot creator would give you that mid range game to at least stretch a little bit and play the high post if you want to mix it up.
Not at all . This mix has the second highest post ratings in the game .
