After 2 years of post players, i’m also not feeling it this year.

Just said fuxk it and Made a pure slasher. Not the best build but everytime i poster someone i forget about all that.

Besides i can still nail the J and the occasional corner 3

Grind those that can be grinded at the same time during career games. Ex: drop stepper and up and under.
Difficult shot :should come pretty easily in games with moving shot.
Tireless scorer :i suggest doing the drill at the practice facility
Mid range deadeye: i suggest trying to hit contested midrange around free throw line in my career and going to the practice facility for the drills.
Tear dropper:tear dropper what i was doing is press L1 + my icon to call a iso on the baseline then i would post up and spin then finish with a floater. Was able to get around 12k 12 min qtr

For midrange deadeye and tireless scorer i suggest playing 5 min qtr and ask out at halftime if your up or down 11 to go in practice quicker.

It took me 1 week to get everything max but lots of hours could of taken less but i had to do the vc 0 min thing to get back the vc i had put on the 6'6 shot.

I really need to step my post game up so i can be the full threat that he is. I having an issue shaking off old habits and disbeliefs about the post game because of 2k18 and for some reason i can't get my up and under to come out right.

Like I'm a far better post player with real nba stars but with my myplayer I'm bootycheeks

I think its because i mentally don't have a identity for his post game and i don't know what real nba player to copy
You should of made a pure shot instead. Quickee can shoot better and the post game is more than decent i get some bucket in the post from time to time.

Thank you for real..I completely forgot you can spin into floaters and I love the spin move.

Yea mainly just up and under I had problems with...mostly cuz I'm a 6'4 guard so I'm not really down there much unless I'm driving.

Also I think I'm using normal 4 for my moving shot..is there a better one you found doing leaners and all that ?

Im using the normal one. If you are not a pg u can use l1/lb and your icon to call an isolation it helps

Try athletic 2, steph curry, or KD moving shots those are the popular ones. I personally like KD's the dribble pull ups goes straight up while leaning back

The only thing that I've had trouble with online is timing floaters.

I can green them consistently in MyCareer on hall of fame difficulty.

Online, the timing for floaters feels completely different -- you have to release the stick a lot earlier online, and the release points don't match up with the shot meter or the animations' visual cue point.

I am probably making about 25% of my open floaters online, even with the HOF tear dropper badge unlocked.

The only slashers I've seen are slashing shot creators.

Unless it's a big man but I don't really count them.

I'm in love with my overall 90 7'3" pure post. Max weight and wingspan. I'll set screens, try not to clog the paint until a shot gets put up. If we space it out and feed me it's either an easy bucket/foul or I get doubled and kick out to an open man. Free throws and mids are solid. Need to get a corner 3 dialed for him though they hardly fall. Glass cleaners have not been a problem for me

Which one of these archetypes would you least like to go up against? Would you tweak the height or weights? Max wingspan seems like a no brainer.

                            1. Pure Rim Protector 7'1" default weight
                            2. Rebounding Rim Protector 7'2"
                            3. Glass Cleaner 7'3" max weight
I labbed all of these builds by taking them through the prelude.

Ended up going with a modified #2.

                            7'1" Rebounding Rim-Protector. Max weight/wingspan.

This build felt like the best combination of athleticism and size for the archetype.

The 7'3" lumbering giants just feel so slow and earthbound compared to slightly shorter characters with +20 boosts to speed/vert.

I have 7'3 rebounding rim protector and although he is slow up and down the court, I have no issue in half court sets to rotate and block shots get rebounds. Plus none of these post scorers/finisher can finish anything inside and my defensive stopped is only on silver haha.

If a sharp tries to dribble or do anything besides catch and shoot, then it's a free steal for his defender.

And on the other end of the floor, sharps are a major defensive liability.

Every team does need at least one pure shooter, but a whole team of sharp primary archetypes is a bad idea.

Especially this year, when there are so many archetype combinations that can hit threes without having any sharpshooting in their build.

Sharps aren't dribbling, they are standing by the hashmarks like last year and shooting deep threes. I have seen a team of 3 pure sharps, with 1 playmaker sharp and a reb/sharp center and there is no real effective way to guard them because of how far out they are. They are running around behind screens, and being spoon fed shots from obscene distances, it is just like last year where you have to guard someone 30 feet from the rim. Look at the league leaders in pro-am, they are making 10-12 threes a game at 60-70%, this is after Mike and Zach said limitless was toned down and shooting was harder, it isn't. I don't feel like griding to make a sharp, but that seems like yet again the only real effective pro-am wing player. I don't know if you play JRC or Pro-Am, cause a lot of what you're saying sounds more like what you think should work rather than what actually happens in Pro-Am.

Also, sharps aren't a liability on defense, they can steal the ball as much as anyone else, and half the teams that have them play zone to hide them.
