I nearly just put my PS4 through my television. I literally just went through TWO CAP BREAKERS, and I'm STILL stuck at 91 on my SG Sharpshooting Shot Creator...

That is so ****ing stupid. I can understand if I didn't level up on my first cap breaker. Cool, whatever. But TWO!? Seriously!?

Holy cow my playmaker is fast. His speed with ball is an 85 and i have the 88 cap unlocked but not enough vc. One more bar and it'll Max at 92. Same with ball control. I skimped on his passing and only have it to a 70, upgraded my 3ball to a 69 with 4 bars to go. I bricked heavily in the one Rec game i played with him but funny enough... We had two playmakers for once after i created mine LOL and i let him handle the ball mostly. I ended with more assists than he did and we lost but i shot poorly. He needs some work but i really like him better than my shooting guard.

Imo the gameplay in Rec is even worse than last year Walk-On.

It’s so annoying. They never pass the ball to someone who is in the post. I wonder why I made a big. I just want to play actual basketball.

I stumbled upon a decent bunch of guys yesterday. Almost no one seems mic'd up this year on rec, less than walk on last year. Use a mic and you have a better chance of actually finding some decent people to play with.

I had dug my PF sc/post out because its impossible to get into a game as a lone guard in rec since no one is playing big men. PF gets a game immediately. While these guys didn't exactly force the ball down low they did get me the ball and I averaged about 15 ppg over 4 games including some actual post scores.

I think the big factor is that you have to get good passing angles and have some degree of communication to get the ball into the post this year. Because of the ease of stealing in the passing lanes, most random guards in rec realize its easier to keep the ball outside and chuck 3s rather than risk a turnover by trying to pass in. In a lot of ways I can't say I blame them. While I like the passing lane mechanics for the most part, I think the different pass types need to be more effective in getting through the D. Passes tend to be underthrown, and high passes aren't high enough to avoid getting picked off. This problem also compounds itself, because when no passes are getting into the paint, both big men tend to clog the paint hoping to snag rebounds since that's the only way they ever see the ball, which destroys spacing.

One question for those who are playing big SFs:

Do you get put at PF in rec games sometimes? I'm considering making a 6'10" sharp/sc, but you can't do it at PF (only the opposite). But if I only get put at wing, that causes a problem because I'm back to waiting for a game forever because no big men.

I have a 6'9, 242 lbs SF and I have been put at PF just a couple of times, because no real PF was in the team.
So it's quite a longshot, unless you run Rec with your friends and none of them is a PF/C.

This is where my center is at, already got one cap breaker into 88

By the looks of it.....I'm going to have 2-3 cap breakers per level, aren't I?

                  Christ almighty......badges matter more anyways

But how often do you find yourself waiting for a game? With my PF I rarely wait more than 2 minutes, but with my PG, I can wait 10 minutes with just myself and 2 other guards waiting for big men. Do you find yourself waiting as part of 3 outside players? Seems to me if the its easy to find wings and hard to find PFs, if theres the option of putting you at PF they'd do it more often...

Usually I enter in Rec with already a squad of 3 or 4 people (none of us is a PF), so waiting time really depends on finding one or two random guys, no matter which position (yesterday we started with another SF and it was put at PF because was taller than me).

Ok, curious what happens when someone has your build and plays with randoms mostly. If your build gets stuck and SF waiting for a PF then thats no good...

I guess that it would stuck only for avoiding really crazy line-ups (eg 4 PGs or Cs), while some duplications (2 SFs, 2 Cs, etc.) are just fine

When we play rec, we come in with a 6'4 sg, 6'8 sf, and 7' c....usually what winds up happening is we get another wing and another c.

No one's playing as pfs, again...and there aren't any pgs apparently.

I mean obviously people are seeing how easy it is to get ripped/throw bad passes and don't want that smoke playing the pg role. Even tho people still wanna bring the ball up and chuck.

But even when I run pg as a 6'4 pure sc sg I don't turn it over more than 3 times. And that's mainly off of my own mistakes.

Am I the only one being stripped of the ball after a defensive rebound almost on regular basis?

the reaching foul after a rebound has been a staple of all 2k modes for years, and now it seems gone

Basically, the moment you grab the board immediately outlet it.

I typically just icon pass to the PG as soon as I'm coming down with it.

This is a problem if the PG is leaking too far but most of the time it works. I rarely get it stolen on a board now.
