A boost in performance when your team mates are playing poorly. I'm unsure of the specifics but that's essentially it

It's looking like you gonna need to counter the 5 OUT(it will always be ran by people).

A person who can switch the 1-5 PnR or the rare 1-4 PnR/PnP
That same person needs Gold Defensive Stopper, Gold Rim Protector
That same person needs to cover 7"3 Athletics, 6"8"-7"0" Pure Stretch 4s, PG Pure Shot Creators and PG Sharpshooting Playmakers.
That same person needs to outrebound 7"3" Glass Cleaners.

Guards are usually 6"3-6"6" so maybe a 6"7" PF Lockdown or a 7"3" Pure Glass and 4 shooters is the wave.

              Basically the meta
              PG shot-play, play-shot, play-sharp,
              SG Pure Sharp, Pure Shot
              SF Pure Sharp, Pure Shot
PF Pure Shot, Shot-Finisher, 6"7" Lockdown, Pure Stretch, 6"10" Sharp
              C 7"3" Pure Glass, 7"0" Stretch 4
              76 6"6" 180lbs Sharpshooting Playmaking SF
              73 6"7" 230lbs Pure Glass Cleaner PF

Pure sharp at pg is a nono imo for me a pg must be a playmaker or a shot creator because pure sharp are more effective off ball so i dont really like it at pg. I did make a play sharp at pg in 2k18 on xbox lmaoo yeah i know shame on me but it was to test it out afted the finals. But nah its not a good fit at pg. Most effective sharp i saw was sf 6'10 last yyear not sure about this year because most people are shot primary builds

I wouldn't do pure sharp at pg unless you know for sure someone at sg or a point forward can help handle the ball, that way you can play more off ball coming off screens. I would probably make a pure sharp at SF or SG 6'7-6'10 or why not a stretch 4? You can make a 6'10-7 stretch 4 but slide to the 3 like I did the last time we ran rec.

Im really interested in the pure playmaker though, I just feel like people aren't playing it right. Most tries to dribble too much and cant spot a pass, but you'll also run into one that can facilitate, see every cut, keeps the ball moving, drive and kick, can knockdown shots when need to.

I read something that said if you get your player to 99 overall you get a free copy of 2K20. I'm not sure what that's all about, but is that a timed thing or do you have until 2K20 comes out to do it?

You probably have until 2k20 comes out, and I'd guess the cut off date will be sooner than that. I think a few years ago they made the cut off at the end of May to be "immortalized"

They ain't about to give out *that* many free copies

It's funny that my build (playmaking slasher SF) is NEVER mentioned in any thread on pro-am (here or elsewhere).

Probably it's among the least sexy of all lol

                            C 7"3" Pure Glass, 7"0" Stretch 4

The easiest way to counter a Lockdown is by having a secondary ball handler on the court. If you have a ShotMaker at the 1, throw a Play Sharp at the 2 and it'll give teams who rely on lockdowns a lot of problems. If the Lock is on the PG let the secondary ball handler run the offense. With Shot Creators getting a 3 Pt shooting boost this year they can easily spot up in the corners. Play Sharps have always been able to shoot especially when you get your badges maxed out. You'll be able to still space the floor not to mention Both Builds get Dimer on Gold so your whole 5 is in good hands off the catch and shoot.

I don't know if having a 6'7 player at the 4 is a great idea either. Team may be too undersized and that Glass Cleaner Center is going to have to work extremely hard on the boards. It's worth a try for those who may want to experiment though.

Just a quick update if anyone gives a bleep.

Made a 7'1 pure rim protector C. With all the post scorers this year I love this build more then ever. Yes, the badges are a little bit of a pain but I think it's worth it.

My buddy made a 7'0 Athletic Rebounder PF to play the 4 and when we roll into the Rec we complement each other so well. I usually box out the center and he dominates his man on the offensive boards. Spacing is a small issue if we have slashing guards.

It's been a blast this year and our only counter to playing with randoms.
