I know the game will interchange SFs and SGs, SGs and PGs, and PFs with Cs if not all the positions are there.

My idea is that if I play a 6'10" SF, I want to play at PF if there is no PF, vs. being stuck at SF with 2 guards waiting forever for some bigs. This happens constantly with my PG. Trying to figure out what the matching engine figures is a 'big'.

When I grab the rebound, my teammates know I'm making that outlet pass as the camera is turning.

Last night, there were 3 times where they fouled me while the camera was turning. Lucky that they didn't get actual steals, most of the time, that's what it is.

      The mashing is real. Amazing.

I mean obviously people are seeing how easy it is to get ripped/throw bad passes and don't want that smoke playing the pg role. Even tho people still wanna bring the ball up and chuck.

But even when I run pg as a 6'4 pure sc sg I don't turn it over more than 3 times. And that's mainly off of my own mistakes.

My experience with PGs is that everyone expects to be dribble god in 2K19. Once they discover you can't get away with that, and that you can't just dribble the ball around under pressure without a turnover, they get frustrated.

I can mostly avoid the pressure when I play PG. The biggest danger is when someone cheats off their man and takes a swipe. Getting rid of it early, avoiding crazy long passes that are predictable, and looking for passing lanes is key.

Another thing people don't do is adjust the passing sliders in their settings, imo default ones are trash.

The only turnovers I get extremely frustrated with are when I need to icon pass and 2k gives me the worst animation possible.

Guys be jumping up in my face spamming steal and my player decides to do a chest pass into his hands ..like get outta here

This is a problem if the PG is leaking too far but most of the time it works. I rarely get it stolen on a board now.

Fine but I made my build to be able to push the transition right from the rebound.
I'm not a 7'1 pure rebounder acting as Magic Johnson but a SF with playmaking as secondary archetype and with eventually HOF one man fast break.

              This

I've seen the playmaker on my team make a pass that looked perfectly reasonable, but the game says "Nah you'll pass it straight to the opponent"

Yes there are some reckless passes but there are also a ton of "Why is the game ****ing me?" passes

Passes have no flavor to them . They are all basic flat passes . No arch or different spins to them .

I use bounce passes and lob passes a lot trying to avoid the defense and still get turn overs i feel i shouldn't. The passing lane steals are crazy.

My short time running point tho i feel like this build will be something serious. I feel like I'm hauling *** down court as compared to my SG. I'm gonna have some fun this year with this guy.

I seriously need to make a pure glass , sharp , or lockdown to spam steals .

Passes are definitely "lazy" if I had a word for it..

None of em have any zip.

It's so easy for defense to anticipate a pass because your guy draws out the animation so long.

I honestly don't throw passes into the paint unless they're oops.

And probably half the time I'm just throwing flashy passes cuz I feel like they're less easy to anticipate.

One of the most annoying auto turnovers is when you see someone trying to post up, but if they get disengaged in any way, it's going the other way

Like, sure, steals happen there, but 100% of the time your player just gifts the ball to the defender

This whole time I thought it was just me and my Matt Schaub accuracy that was throwing those picks. We'll be on the break and I see my teammate ahead of the defenders but 7 out of 10 times the pass doesn't get there and gets picked.

For long distances I normally use passing icons, but I've tried with bounce passes and regular passing no dice.
