So you are mad about not being able to use tier 1 teams against tier 3 teams? lol

I mean... I would like a little more variety in matchmaking in some aspects too. As it stands, it's okay the way it is due to the fact that you need a certain amount of wins in each tier, but it was really fun back in those 2k16 days to take on all comers with lesser teams. It'd be nice to have a filter on it, so that way you don't have to face the Warriors for the umpteenth time, but it would be fun to get a little
more variety and the ability to dashboard does help a little.

Perhaps having an "open" mode within PNO where you can play against any tier of current team would be a good idea

Got to laugh at the Giannis cheesers. Push forward and do a spin move everytime down the floor.

8 times out of 10 I can stop that **** but he still hits some ridiculous shots.

I'm glad 2K finally recognized this dude cannot shoot 3s so I just sag all day and dare then to shoot. Wasn't like a few months back where he would hit 100% of open shots lol.

No, no, no, no, no *GET OUT Voice* Thats what I live for man...its like I can see them break-down in real time [emoji23] when their little zone, pump fake or favorite play dies in the 4th (or never lives) Or when they never realize NOW we're going over the top on PNR and they gotta do something different lol. I can imagine them screaming "thats BS!" at the screen (sometimes I can hear them over the mic) wondering why its not working.

Sometimes i'll screw with them and send a message on the PSN to push them over the top--50% of my games are probably quits. There's a mental aspect to competition that alot of guys don't get. [emoji23]

Take this guy from my last game. Played with DEN....he's only down four in the fourth so "technically" its a game. I dont use my good stuff early tho. If you're any good I spend the first 3 quarters seeing what you like to do/how you react to certain sets and watching your tendencies. In the 4th I take everything you hold dear away from you. [emoji23]

I use variations of the stuff i've been running and if they think they know what's coming and bite hard? CHECKMATE. Its why i'll never understand the whole bias against off-ball D. I mix in tons off catch/shoot stuff when I see someone doesn't playoff-ball...if its an AI defender he's gonna be late alot vs a good screener. You think that lil late contest from 10 feet away is gonna help you? [emoji23] Good luck with that. Its me against the shot meter at that point...you're DONE.

Anyway, Murray was terrible and Jokic was getting cooked by Embiid but he got some minutes out of Nick Young. I wasn't worried shots like this were sustainable tho:

If all you've got is standard PNR stuff game's over. Apply a little pressure/expectations with some trash talk via the PSN app and most of these guys crack. Its no longer a game on the PS4 at that point. Its actually someone else who's beating you. I got a dunk with Simmons in the 4th and sent him "Welp. Thats game" and it was downhill from there. [emoji23]

He was so shook he was missing FTs with Murray (85%) lol.

The open mode would be tier one by default.

Not necessarily. You need look no farther than 2k16. I always ran with the Rockets, who were Tier 2 at the time. I faced a good variety of teams, though it was mostly the Warriors. The ability to dashboard was really helpful for that though. I'd be absolutely willing to take the current Rockets, the Wizards, Blazers or even the Nets or Mavs into an open match.

Plus, there was incentive to play better competition. Getting extra wins for beating an opponent in a higher tier was incentive for playing as the lower tier teams. Just this year I've beaten the Warriors with T2 teams on a few occasions. A similar situation of having incentive for playing with lower tier teams would make this super viable.

Its annoying sometimes but ask yourself if you want a simulation or an experience like Madden where there's no penalties not even a holding call over the course of a game....also, do you have an issue when the fouls benefit you? Doubt it. I've always been ok with that kind of thing. It can be a good differentiator between teams thats something other than "makes shots more"...fouls can also denote a mismatch.

i understand unforced errors here and there. but this **** feels like its 70% simulation. when im up by 13, miss an open three i understand, but when i follow it up with a great defensive possession and force a bad shot and the opposing team manages to snag offensive rebounds until they score it feels ****in rigged. i just beat a dude by 7 who outrebounded me 16 offensive boards to 3. just think about that man. i had to overcome 16 extra possessions just to win this ****in game. not to mention that 5 of those offensive rebounds were all in one play and ended on a made contested drifting shot.

I've was putting a together a nice little run of wins, but I finally lost to the Houston Rockets last night. I don't what it is about this team, but I every time I play them, I can't nail open shots to save my life. IRL, the Rockets are ranked 24th while the Pacers are ranked 2nd in defense, but you sure can't tell with NBA 2K19. I was down 16th points in the 1st quarter due missing a ton of shots and getting killed on the boards. My opponent shot like 78% to my putrid 23%. Remind you, I've playing a lot of games of late, so I'm getting more and more comfortable with shot releases, playing defense, and running plays on instinct. I tried to be very methodical in my approach in the final 3 quarters, but I could never get the lead below 9 points. They were getting way too many 50/50 balls for my taste and favorable offensive animations.

James Harden doesn't bother me, but that damn Clint Capela plays WAY too far above his ratings.

I be deflecting passes and knocking the ball loose out of the ball handlers hands just for it to miraculously end up back in their hands, fly out of bounds, or go into that stupid animation where my NBA players cant pick up a basketball off the ground.

I've pretty much accepted it for what it is, but I like that Kush is bringing attention to the 50/50 ball problem. On one play, I deflected an inbound pass near half-court with Thad Young, and the ball moved in the direction of my opponent's basket instead of the other direction where I could have easily scooped it up and ran for an uncontested dunk/layup. Obviously, since the ball went in the wrong direction and I was out the play due to the deflection, his player picked up the ball and made an uncontested 3.
