A reply on the blog
Julian Rodriguez Why are you sticking the same animations? and not improving the entire game play on five on five. Oh because My player sells everything got it!
What a tool. As if he comented on Fortnite video and not on Da_Czar's gameplay blog.
I am waiting for some heavier sim-heads to ease me into this.
So a series is basically similar play with 'live' reads? Kinda like Triangle but only few plays from similar sport?Comment

Re: Gameplay Blog is released now! It's finally here
I saw one of those hot reads by the AI in 2KU. Osman was setting a screen near the top of the key coming from the opposite side wing for Sexton who was coming toward him like for a handoff.
Sexton didn't make the handoff so it looked like, and I was expecting, Osman to continue after pausing to the other wing. It was like an option handoff pnr action. I was user controlling Durant who was cheating a bit and Osman just broke to the rim behind Durant and got the pass for a roll and a layup that Boogie, who was there, didn't defend well.
It's hard to describe but I stopped and paused it to look at it in slo mo. It was not an action in 2K18 like a slip screen or anything. It was a hot read in some traffic based on how I was defending, based on what I had been seeing.
I don't know what tech it was = sets or procedures or what. But it wasn't like last year.Comment

I was seeing stuff like this as well in 2kU, its basically what sold me on going ahead and getting it day1, as I was really considering waiting this yr a week or 2, just to make sure a few things that have plagued the game for a few yrs now finally got fixed. But you can see how improved intelligence of the CPU this yr.
I played a half a game with NBA2k18 today and you can definitely see a big improvement with 19 gameplay, in both the AI and the sticks just feel tighter , and much smoother this yr. Playing defense is actually fun, you dont feel as if your on a slip and slide when moving around the court.
Last yr and in yrs previous, it seem no matter what slider adjustments you made, you would either feel like your playing on ice, and when you would try to fix it with sliders, you would then feel like your playing in sand, and it would feel the player you were controlling was sluggish, and when you hit turbo, then you would get a slight hesitation, then he would go and you would feel somewhat out of control.
Just a overall better feel to the game with the Prelude. Hopefully the game itself feels as good, or better.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Gameplay Blog is released now! It's finally here
A series, in simple terms is just like a tv show. It has the same characters every episode but the story is different from play to play.
I’m most familiar with Spurs Zipper as I teach that at a ju-co.
We always start with a Zip (corner to top of key) but from there we go 50 different combinations based on defense, matchups, time and score etc.
The fact that my guy Czar has that at our fingertips is amazing. 2k is more than a video game. It’s s basketball teaching tool if used properly. Thanks to guys like Czar, Wang and Scott. As a basketball junkie I appreciate these guys more than I can say with just a 89.99 purchase. Big ups gentlemen. Big ups!!!Comment
