The way the game feels right now everyone will be able to defend. I'm all for better defense than 18 but I'm thinking everyone making a 2-way is going to feel cheated when Non-defenders pick their pockets. The defense is simply over the top right now. As stated, i like good defense, i play good defense. But there needs to be a medium. There has to be balance. In no way am i advocating for lockdowns to lose their specialty, I'm hoping a bump down will INCREASE their worth.

I'm feeling like day 1 we'll have a lot of lockdowns and 2ways and then a week later we won't because anyone can play defense.

Nope can't cosign this you have only played against the cpu on a demo. Defense needs to stay where it is especially in the paint. LDD benefits are steal animations and badges that cancel those of offensive players

Just watch the CPU guard itself. The offensive player will be stumbling over himself because Joe Blow defender is pressing him. There needs to be a medium. I saw in the prelude the offensive player lose the ball twice in the same possession and get it back both times. It's ugly IMO.

In my prelude experience the CPU was pressing me out past the 3 point line and I'm not even a shooter. With the blow by being gone they stone walled me to where i couldn't drive and then immediately doubled when i got close to the paint.

It's just a bit over done because we complained too much.

I understand the game isn't even out yet, but wait and see.

16 was similar. People weren't spending attribute points in defense because the mechanics were OP.

Trust me, I'm not trying to take anything away from LDDs I'm trying to help them.

No, as a 2-way player last year I felt cheated because I still couldn't guard cheap *** snatch backs and pure stretches. This thread is insulting.

Disagree completely. I think it is perfect where it is right now. I have made plenty of mistakes against the CPU, even with good defenders and they have made me pay. I have made good plays against the CPU defensively and made them pay. Taking on Osman with Durant is a huge mismatch in my favor. Even if he is able to stay in front sometimes, I've still been able to make him pay with a superior move. Occasionally, Durant gets stopped, even by Osman. That is basketball. Quite frankly, I think defense is perfect as of right now. Inferior defenders do win every once in a while, but the superior defenders like Green, Thompson and KD, to an extent, REALLY shine.

So, basically you're saying you weren't able to do what you were used to in 18..I slash perfectly fine with a lockdown on the prelude. Just adapt man, its a different game.
