I cant get the minutes and lineups to stay for me. I literally dropped Corey Joseph out of the lineup and gave all his minutes to Aaron Holiday and jumped right into a game.

Corey Joseph still managed to play what seemed to be his normal minutes. And only seen holiday once the game was out of reach for the CPU in the 4th quarter

Is anyone else noticing they aren't getting any VC for the shoe deal incentives..

I'm with Nike.
I should be getting 125 VC for 25pts 12 assists each game.
Also 30 VC for each posterizer dunk.

I get 25 & 12 easily each game & at least 3, 4 or 5 posterizer dunks each game.
But in your VC fter each game, nothing from Nike at all.
I think I noticed this a week or more ago, played maybe 10 or 15 games since..

Yes. I believed I talked about this issue in one of the issue threads. I signed with Jordan originally and never got any coin for completing my incentives. I got dropped and signed with Nike. Just signed a new tier of the contract, so I'll see if anything changes.


Chrismoove touched on this too. He noticed he wasn't getting his coin from Nike.

Are there any plays you guys like as a slashing shot creator SG? I have access to the full playbook now and I don't know which ones look good. I'm kinda OK with the Raptors playbook. It's usually Kawhi getting a post up or screen and me in the corner. The plays I usually get are running around off screens to either shoot or attack the basket. On occasion, I get an iso play.

I would like to get the ball up top and use screens and dribble moves to attack the basket, but I'm more than fine getting the ball in the post or cutting to the basket.

Ahh my PS4 **** itself on Thursday, won't start up, the harddrive must be shot, I tried to do the safe mode, but it wouldn't come up or read the HDMI on my TV.
It was shot..

But I was cheeky & traded it in and got $200 for it today haha dumbarse EB Games.
I bought a new PS4 Pro.

But I hadn't backed up my saves, so I've lost my my player 😡 now I have to start again, I gather my LBJ gear will be gone as well.
I did a massive grind for the first month, went from a 75 rating to an 88. I did really enjoy my shot creating playmaker PG..

I do have 90 000 VC in my 2K account. So that is some sort of good news.

I'm thinking I might try make a KD type player this time. Do another PG later on sometime..

check on the cloud if your account was set to primary it backs up automatically

The new patch has broken the game. I keep getting a server connection error after almost every game so I have to play each game twice like wth man. I swear this game every year is a headache

I feel like there is very little incentive to keep grinding once your badges are maxed out (At least the ones you care about)

It's so much work to reach the next cap breaker, only to see completely useless things getting upgrades on a rebounding rim protector, things like ball handling and 3 pt shooting and post offense

Im pissed i finally get to 90 overall and able to make trades i just really wanted to trade away Robin Lopez because we dont need him and come to find out i cant request trading away any of my teammates [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] so i just requested we go after Anthony Davis

I'm having some difficulty playing with the Spurs. They're a team that passes the ball around and LMA and DeRozan are their main stars. However, the team doesn't play that way when I'm playing with them. They dont go to LMA that often and he doesn't seem to be hugely affective. Throws up some ugly contest jumpers where he looks uncomfortable. They still get good numbers though not what realistically they normally would.

Also, the defensive strategy can be problematic. My guy is 83 ovr two way sharp at 6'8". I played against the twolves today and the twolves put in their 2nd unit with Jimmy Butler on the floor. My team also put in some bench players and had belinelli covering butler instead of me. I was covering Nunally. Butler beat up on the belinelli a little and I think it may have hurt our teams momentum when he had opportunities to come back and win. Twolves ended up running away and won by 20+ pts. If I was able to switch on defense, perhaps I could've slowed down butler who eventually destroyed us.

Any ideas on improving these problems?

I hate the way people play in the park lol but I knew to expect this when I started

95% of people are just out to score for themselves. Idk how many times I've cut and was wide open under the basket, just to be ignored. Or they're so bad that they truly didnt even see me

Played 5 games last night. Lost all of them but 1. The 1 I did win, was with 2 AI players

I play for the Spurs and LA is HORRIBLE. One of the worst teammates I’ve ever had in 2K. The reason he’s so bad is because mainly his tendencies. I’ll give him the ball in the post and he’ll do all types of pump-fakes even when he is open and will shoot when it’s contested.

What I do to try to get him to score is run pick and rolls and sometimes you have to hit X to try and make him actually shoot the ball. He’s the reason I went after Cousins during the off-season since you cannot just trade him. I tried trading him for Gobert but they got rid of Pau.

If I was you, I would try to go for that same trade if you can. I think it saved my season because we were getting punished on the boards and in the paint. Gobert solved that. They also gave us Thabo Selfolosha and I started him in the Playoffs to guard players that love to post like Kawhi, LeBron, PG and he has a 96 steal. Derozan had to come off the bench in the playoffs because his post D is horrible unless you can slide him to SG.

Best my career story will always be 2k16 for me. Then 2k17 with orange juice. 2k18 was horrible and to be honest this years storyline isn’t that great. Besides the rivalry with young and history with Harris, the story is very similar to what it was in nba 2k18. If you add the horrific b-fresh into this story I would literally feel like I’m playing the same story over again. The story still doesn’t really tie together once you make it to the league at all. All those stupid cutscenes with Shaq talking about bbq chicken and Kareem dropping empty knowledge and others just showing up in ur my court has nothing to do with how a players career pans out. I mean I get it they do it for entertainment but they need to go back to the storyline that 16 had bc that was the most realistic storylines imo. I feel like 18 was a complete parody or troll of what a players career is supposed to be like. I may be in the minority but 2k can do a lot better. Getting famous actors to do a story mode isn’t gonna make me more engaged. Stop with the parody and give us a real story! Like how hard is it to sit down with a rookie and study him for a season. They can literally sit down with these rookies when they first enter the league and gather info from them. Like what happened to rookie hazing? That was my favorite part about nba 2k15 or 14 I can’t remember that they make you wear a clown nose or a pink back pack. That stuff really happens in real life. They really have to bring the realism into this mode. Even last gens 2k my career is more realistic than what we are given now
