You’re good. I really think you should see if someone is catching contact dunks without the animations so you don’t get your dude up and find out you cannot. Because it definitely was impossible for my guy that had slasher in him and silver posterizer until I got the animations.

Yea I'll check somewhere to get that info cause I'm actually having a lot on fun with my shot creating/slasher, I just can't hit any jumpers whether I'm wide open or slightly contested. I'm just gonna keep working on my badges and playing around with jumpshots until I find one that I can get the timing down. I miss the way jumpshots worked like back in 2k14. Appreciate your post my guy.

Just signed my second deal with Footlocker. Decided to go with 3K VC per event with no incentives and I think %15 off in store purchases.

Always the wrong move, you'll get 1 or 2 events a year, whereas more incentives equals more vc every single game. Incentives are where you make the most in sponsorship deals.

There is simply no way people will be able to get the Alpha Dog badge, it requires you to lead the team in all 5 major categories (pts,rebs,ast,stl,blk) for a game. On HOF Difficulty its 750 XP per game leading in all 5 categories, it requires you to get 20,000 XP to obtain the badge so it takes 27! games doing this, what was 2K thinking?

What does this badge even do in terms of online play . I literally only have 500/20k towards it.

I'm about 3 qtrs of the wy to getting it on my post scorer. I am 73 games into a full season so I've had a bit more time. I'm actually only getting the stats because of the way cpu defends me with double teams. As I've seen it get closer and closer I've started taking more passing lane risks for steals. I expect to lead automatically in pts, rbds, and blocks; the cpu forces me to get assists, and I gamble on steals.

I'm not entirely sure what it does, but it seems similar to clutch from the description?

Have you gotten your sig shoe yet? I’m 40 games in so far and got my shoe deal which is bugged. None of my custom sneakers are free and I have the highest tier for shoes at tier 5. It also was still charging me for the on-court air Jordan 5s. How is this if all my shoes are supposed to be free!? Every year it’s something with this mode that takes me out of it early. I even have the 25 percent discount and ask me if it actually is 25 percent? Nope. Same prices for every shoe smh. Had to test it out to make sure I wasn’t buggin out but yeah, still gotta pay full price for shoes although my contract states I’m supposed to get 25 percent off smh!!! All of the customs I made are 10,000 when just last week it would say 0 vc next to them before the patch. I would try to put them in my cart and it would glitch as if I didn’t have enough money. Then when I broke over 10,000 vc from earnings and I bought $10 worth of vc, I go to see if maybe they fixed it and I went to footlocker to buy a pair of customs. I was able to check out but guess what happened to my vc? They robbed me of it! So I’ve been thinking is it worth writing a ticket to get my vc back because this is a shame. Every year we go thru something with this game

The Jimmy Butler news is the main reason why I don't start MyCareer right away. There always seem to be major trade rumors before the NBA season starts. That type of trade changes the landscape of the NBA and will affect the team I want to choose. Also strongly doubt that the Suns will go into the season with just Tyler Ullis and Brandon Knight(Combo guard/currently injured) at PG. So I expect them to make a trade for a starting quality PG. Most likely Patrick Beverly. I will still wait until the start of the NBA season to start my career, so my first year matches the start of current NBA season.



How has the trade logic amongst CPU teams looked in MyCareer? Does the user teams make trades? The last couple of years, there have been lopsided trades amongst CPU teams and/or didn't make sense for both teams. So many times you see teams having logjams at positions causing bad lineup issues. That brings me to user teams. It was frustrating seeing being on a team that has a logjam at a position, especially at your position. I signed to a team last year that a log jam at my position, but had potential to be a good team. I was a center and there were a total of 7 big men in our rotation. They didn't make any trades. I had to sim a couple of seasons and grind to 90 OVR to suggest trades.

Same reason I regret starting my career early. Kinda takes away a from the immersiveness.. that’s why in 2k18 I was so sick bc I couldn’t stand to see melo still on the knicks so I had to make a new player. This year I’m just gonna go with my guns and recreate my my player for my league and go from there with a player lock because to start a new career and have to unlock all this over again... man listen lol

New to this mode and in trying to improve my players skill. I notice when I’m increasing attributes I get to the max where it won’t let me anymore (one is say 78) but a bit more down the line I see a white dash like thing making me think I can increase it till then. How can I do this ?

I did the daily spin yesterday and it said I won a Foot Locker item but there is nothing new in my Clothes inventory. Just have the preorder Lebron items. This happen to anybody else?

Ugh if you're not a point guard playing MyCareer can be such a pain in the ***. Your teammates play like complete morons, constantly dribbling into traffic, taking bad shots, fouling unnecessarily and play zero defense. Seriously the AI gets caught ball watching every single time and we always give up backdoor cuts and lobs. On top of that you can't run plays so you're forced to watch your teammates be stupid.

You have to get those cap breakers. Everytime you get 100% mypoints you'll unlock a set of cap breakers.

Player positions really ruin this mode for teams. 2K hasn’t updated some guys in years.

I’ll explain:
So the cavs look at their roster and realize they have no SF (even tho cedi Osman obviously is, he played 73% of his minutes at the 3) they go out and sign nick Young who 2K doesn’t want to change his position because it will make his rating higher than they want it. (even tho he’s played primarily the 2 for the last two seasons).
So now the Cavs have a new starting SF that wouldn’t start for any team in the league.
So basically I’m f*cked due to 2K not updating easy things in a roster.

Sometimes it confuses me how things can go year after year after year with no update.

So many teams have problems that can be easily fixed with player position updates.

Like why tf is Ben Simmons listed as a PF? Now him and Dario won’t be able to start together even tho they started together every game they played besides like the first two.
It’s really not that difficult
