I followed Chris Smoove steps and created a playmaking shotcreator PG, 6'2'' 200lbs. I don't plan on spending any money on VC this year, unless 2K shows me they deserve it. I'm a 72 overall, mainly thanks to that 2K "method" that was patched one day after the released (of course ).

I decided to join my favorite team, the Lakers, while playing on HoF to get that boost in VC and MyPoints. But man, it's a struggle with that suffocating defense, I've rage-quitted a few times But playing with Lebron is just a pleasure, this guy can do it all. I'm also pleased with Ingram, Kuzma and Beasley.

I think we're missing a better pure C, because McGee is ok but nothing crazy, and Zubac can't keep up with other centers since he's slow AF. Beasley plays a lot of C minutes, but you can tell he's undersized at that position and defensive he can be intimidated by bigger and more skilled center.

I turn on auto plays and play a lot off-ball since I play a lot of SG and we have a lot of playmakers, and there's a lot of more iso and post play than I'd like to, but we're pretty good on the break. I'm sure things will go better as my overall and badges go up, but I'm more pleased than last year, that's for sure. Not as many blatant teammates defensive IQ issues, even though sometimes I want to throw my controller

So I got my Under Armour deal and they dropped me for wearing Adidas' at the park... bug much? The only shoes they gave me were for NBA games.

Have you gotten your sig shoe yet? I’m 40 games in so far and got my shoe deal which is bugged. None of my custom sneakers are free and I have the highest tier for shoes at tier 5. It also was still charging me for the on-court air Jordan 5s. How is this if all my shoes are supposed to be free!? Every year it’s something with this mode that takes me out of it early. I even have the 25 percent discount and ask me if it actually is 25 percent? Nope. Same prices for every shoe smh. Had to test it out to make sure I wasn’t buggin out but yeah, still gotta pay full price for shoes although my contract states I’m supposed to get 25 percent off smh!!! All of the customs I made are 10,000 when just last week it would say 0 vc next to them before the patch. I would try to put them in my cart and it would glitch as if I didn’t have enough money. Then when I broke over 10,000 vc from earnings and I bought $10 worth of vc, I go to see if maybe they fixed it and I went to footlocker to buy a pair of customs. I was able to check out but guess what happened to my vc? They robbed me of it! So I’ve been thinking is it worth writing a ticket to get my vc back because this is a shame. Every year we go thru something with this game

I don't have a sig shoe deal yet, but I have tier 5 shoes like you, and my deal is like your deal. 2k support are telling people asking for their 10k vc back that this is how it is supposed to work and they're not refunding the VC. I think it's because they don't want dudes getting free shoes for the park, which is what happens if you buy a custom shoe. Have a feeling this will probably be changed later in the game, but just have to suck it up for now.

That's not a bug dude, it's common sense. It sucks they don't give us park shoes, but no shoe company is fine with you wearing different brands.

Playing MyCareer on HOF is hot garbage...

Get blown out by 20 almost every game. CPU is psychic & unreal on offense & defense. Your teammates just act like they are brain dead sometimes. I play with the Raptors and thank God we have Kawhi

I've been a 60 my whole time with the Raptors & these cats pass me the ball like I'm the Superstar. I'm a rookie that's not even a 70, why pass me the ball with the clock running down & we need a basket.

I've even had a possession where my teammates didn't even get a shot up. Kawhi was posted up, faced up & pump faked the ball like 3 times b4 the shot clock eventually ran out. I'm not asking to win every game and dominate, I realize I'm a 68 & can't take over games like last year but can my teammates at least play up to their talent. Last year playing MyCareer on HOF was not near as frustrating.

Czar just made a video about HOF this year is NOT the same as HOF last year. It's a whole different beast

He basically said control your pride. HOF this year is harder this year and no need to play on it just to say you play on it. Go down a skill level then

Completely understand that as I saw the video... My issue isn't with my skill, as I've gone at least 4 games out of my 1st 15 w/o scoring

My issue is how dumb/terrible my teammates are & how lights out the CPU is on offense & defense. Plays that would be called a foul in other modes get looked past in career mode.

CPU also doesn't even put their hands up to contest like they do in other modes, to me it's obvious the difference between how your teammates play in MyCareer compared to other modes.

After a couple years of terribly corny stories they FINALLY made an interesting, albeit somewhat cliche story. I found myself attached to 'AI' just wish you could choose a nickname. That wouldn't be hard to code.

You can. I dont think they'll say the new nickname in the story, but they do during the games

It would've been nice to choose the nickname at the very beginning. Not a nickname that's already a nickname of a previous player either

Has anyone requested a trade yet? I'm not starter yet. Is there a chance I can get traded and become a starter there? I'm only at 10 games into the season but the Bulls are 100% interested and the Lakers are just not the best spot for me as a SG considering Harris is a 92 and I'm an 87.

Story was funny and good but jeez am I the only one who thought my player was a wimp always crying. Like I lost it when he did his little corny monologue to Marcus Young calling him a snake and Marcus is just sitting there like cool story bro like I really dont care.

Also they dont seem to know what they want to do when it comes to a love story. We meet the girl, smash, and then break up like pick a route.

The story was really good. Wish there were more too it tho. We don't even get a proper ending when we have to face Marcus young

Another thing. They sub you out at the wrong times! I'm in the playoffs we're down by 2 vs warriors with 2 mins left and they sub me out. We lost by almost 10!

So I just signed in and found my characters appearance reset and their name wiped, just a blank space.

I was only able to get my character about 60% of the way he was looking before because I couldn't remember the settings I used (because why would I ever expect to have to remember them??).

The name thing is a bit screw up though, because there doesn't seem to be any way to change it at all.

I'm 45 games into the season and there's no way I'm playing all that again.

Is there some way to fix the name thing? Because between all the scripted garbage (subbing out for 2 minutes up 10, coming back in down 20...), forced difficulty changes in the 'story', XP fiddling and now this rubbish, I'm just about done this year.
