It's truly amazing. He has a unicorn size and shooting ability for a big man. He just went off! Love was clueless. Getting killed on defense every single match except maybe once.


On another note: Marcus Young is the best teammate I've ever had. He actually plays like his character. Most teammates don't play like themselves and it's hard to play with them.



I'm thinking on free agents now too. I'd like to get better shooting and better bigs. TT and GH contracts are off the books. That's 40M in cap space. I believe there's another big contract. Might be Korver. I think the Cavs will have lots of money. I want to go after people who can contribute by shooting/defense/PM. I'm going after little known FA. Only big name is Lauri Markkenen(sp)? I might switch from him though since I like the small ball approach with me being the C.

Yes.

Thats the reason why I wait a portion into the season to start career. That way roster is mostly up to date. I just bought NBA 2k19, but I'm waiting until next Roster update or when I finish RD2 before I start. Where now I'm more comfortable thinking there won't be a significant trade in a while. Only trades I see happening is Suns and Magic looking for a PG

According to what some have mentioned here about the salary cap in 2k my career, it’s as if it’s non existent lol.. you can sign just about anyone you want. I think the salary cap is turned off, has to be lol if you go back and look at some peoples lineups after the first year I was like wow lol

I started a dummy career just to see how my build caps out at and what my attributes will look like if I used all I saved up. I'm getting doubts about my build choice. 3 & D builds are a better this year, but I'm not sure. Instead of a 6'9 PF, I'm leaning towards 6'8 because it would give me a little more athleticism. But I would still go about 234 just so I'm not too light guarding traditional bigs. But my main concern is 3pt shooting and wingspan. I really have to sacrifice wingspan to get a decent 3pt shot. Didn't look at 6'7, but pretty much the highest 3pt I could get is 76, but that is with min wingspan. I really lose out on steal(84-85 max) and block (under 80). I would want at least 75 3pt. Only thing is that my soft cap is 68. So It would be hard for me to make shots consistently and It would be an uncertainty when I fully max out. I wont play until another week or two. So, I'll have about 60K+ VC to start out. It would get me to 71. But, I would be able to focus on important ratings. I would focus on athetlicism, block & steal, and 3pt. That way I would come in decent enough to dominate prelude to progress.
I'm just not sure though mainly because of 3pt rating. I would have to seriously hope badges makeup for 3pt rating and defensive badges make up for shorter wingspan. I just don't want to waste all the VC I saved up.


For those who have 3pt secondary with non-shooting primary, does 3pt badges make up for the low 3pt rating? Because I really want to make a 3 & D player as a PF. At 6'8, I would be a mismatch with athleticism against heavier bigs and center as a small ball 5. My thought is that I have to think about signing on a team with multiple dimers. I'm still choosing Mavs. But, I think the perfect team would be Rockets. Mainly because having 2 Gold Dimers, would really make up for low 3pt rating.

Haven't read this thread in depth thoroughly, but has anybody ever won a game after a player on the opposing team was declared player of the game?

anytime there's between 5-6 minutes left and the CPU has a three point lead and calls a timeout, I already know it's a GG because they usually give out player of the game then and for the rest of the game it doesn't matter what you do, incredible things will happen on your way to an L

Don't minimize your arms on a defensive build.

Take your chances with threes but remember this is second to your primary skill set of getting stops.

Your 3pt shots will generally be taken wide open in the corner. Find a reliable jumper and settle with that. The rest is confidence and luck man. Dimer will help.

I have faced Sharp-Lockdown and Pure Lock who can all shoot. No need to reach 70+ on 3s let alone minimize your arms. Hell, long arms help you shoot better against a closeout. You're also 6'8" so you're at a disadvantage contesting those builds who are more than 3 inches taller than you.
