151 pts is of course ridiculous. But he cherrypicked a game against bums, the whole team is working for him, and he is a smart guy, who realizes very quickly when its a good shot, and when it is not (be it basketball wise, or game wise).

Getting 40 rebound games is no less ridiculous, but it happens, when playing against lesser competition.

And last year shooting was broken. You had better chance to hit contested than open. It is much different this year

The pro-am league leaders are making 10+ threes per game on 60-70% shooting, it's definitely a problem and more prevalent than 40 rebound games.


Half the time of an NBA game, 2x the amount of threes made....at 20-30% higher than the greatest shooters.

The pro-am league leaders are making 10+ threes per game on 60-70% shooting, it's definitely a problem and more prevalent than 40 rebound games.

Yeah lets pretend like the 2k player base that plays pro am is an nba talent defenders. Vast majority are casuals (to put it in non offensive terms) , and anyone who plays that game semi competitevely knows it. If you getting 30 dropped on you on 15 shots, you had a bad game.

This really doesn't make sense, everyone who plays pro-am has a player that is supposed to be an NBA level talent. You can say they don't have the IQ sure, but at no level of basketball is an opponent shooting 70% from three on 18 attempts a game. You're trying to excuse clearly broken mechanics with a flawed argument, nobody at any level of basketball is making 90-100% of their open shots like they are in 2k.

It was terrible last year and it seems to be even worse this year. Not going to buy the game.

This is absolute proof that 3 point shooting need to be easier.
He should have easily been able to score 200 or 300 in 6 minutes quarter games.
They need to nerf defense and make 3pt shooting easier!!

I have a lockdown, nobody has scored 20 on me, doesn't change the fact the mechanics are broken. My 56 open three lockdown is shooting .476 from three on 3-4 attempts a game, I was greening them before I ever had any badges, I shouldn't be able to do that, but I guess the shooting is fine.


If a player existed like my Lockdown defender, he'd be getting a max deal from all 30 teams, a guy that can guard 1-5, protect the rim and guard on the perimeter that shoots .476 from three on a decent volume doesn't exist. I should be a non-threat from three, but in this game I am a sniper.

I agree. I don't have Lock in my build at all (6'6 ShotMaker) and haven't had anyone shoot close to 50% on me let alone 70%. PG's have been lucky to make it through the full game. The mechanics aren't the greatest in 2k but I feel majority of complaints come from folks who don't play defense. I don't agree with Sharps hitting every open shot but if you're gonna just continuously watch them shoot then you're gonna constantly get lit up. You have to be punished for not playing good defense IMO.

Steph Curry, arguably the best shooter in NBA history, shoots under 50% on wide open threes. That means with no defender at all. So no, it doesn't mean you had a bad game. It means that shooting threes is far too easy, even when there is a non-NBA talent defender guarding you.

I don't play with a playmaker, I'm getting Bronze/Silver dimer passes, me shooting nearly 50% from three is comical. I guess all the bad shooters left wide open in the NBA should just make them, because after all they're open and know their release
