BOSTON -- After 2 convincing wins in Chicago, The Bulls were supposed to sweep this team in this series. In Game 3, however, Boston showed more fight and one buzzer-beating shot by "The Truth" later, the Celtics were right back in the series.

Chicago started shooting poorly in the 1st. They shot only 33% from the field. Boston showed more hustle, and they are up 19-15.

In the 2nd quarter, Boston continued to show more fight. They caused turnovers and score 13 points in the fastbreak. They were also visibly active on the offensive glass.

It's Boston at the half, 42-33.

Bulls shot only 38% from the field in the first half leading to possibly their lowest score in the 1st half of the season.

The Bulls would make threir move in the 3rd quarter. They would score 34 pts in the period, already more than their first half combined. Jordan would score 12 in the period and Pippen would follow with 11. The Bulls would claim the lead but Celtics would fight back behind Pierce. After a 3 by Kukoc at the buzzer, Celtics lead is cut to 2 going in to the 4th, 69-67.

In the 4th quarter, Boston started double-teaming Jordan at every possession, and was finding some success. The Bulls efforts to trap in the backcourt also backfired. Boston would go up by as much as 9. The Bulls would start figuring out the double teams on MJ and they are able to claw back into the game.

It was tied with 1:54 to go. Boston would play great defense on CHicago's last play, ending with Pierce blocking Jordan's attempt get the ball back with 20 secs left. This would setup a gamewinning shot by "The Truth" at the buzzer, despite heavy double team by Pippen and Longley at the top.

It's not a sweep. Celtics take Game 3, 102-100.

Pierce finished with 19 pts 11 rebs 7 assts. Garnett bounced back after poor showings in the 1st two games and finished with 18 pts 9 rebs 2 stls 3 blks.

Jordan had 36 pts 7 rebs 16 assts, while Pippen added 22. Kukoc had his first decent game in this playoffs with 14.

Michael Jordan was aggressive right out of the gate. He seemed upset about losing the last game to a gamewinner. He was on fire, scoring 21 in the first quarter to help the Bulls take a 30-23 lead.

In the second quarter, Scottie Pippen and Toni Kukoc led a second unit to keep the pressure on the Celtics and increased the lead to up to 15. Ray Allen led a surge by Boston to cut the lead to single digits. Jordan would come back from his rest,, score 6 more points to keep them ahead comfortably.

Bulls go into the half leading by 11, 56- 45. THey would keep the Celtics shooting at 40%. Jordan already had 27 pts.

THe Bulls continued their strong defense in the 3rd quarter. Jordan would be all over the court as well. He would score another 16 pts, and when the Celtics started double-teaming, would pass out to Kerr and Kukoc for open perimeter shots. He would put an exclamation point by shooting a fadeaway from the top of the key as the 3rd quarter expired. Bulls up by 19, 83-64 heading into the 4th.

The Bulls surge continued in the 4th, increasing their lead to over 20 pts. THe Celtics would try to come back but could not get it down into the single digits, as Pippen and Jordan both hleped close the game out.

Bulls win 112-100.

Jordan's stat line. 51 pts 3 rebs 6 assts 6 stls. Pippen added 24 pts 7 rebs 5 assts. Kukoc had another good game off the bench with 15.

Pierce led the Celtics with 20 pts. Garnett added 15 pts 13 rebs. As a team, the Celtics were limited to 42% shooting.

The Bulls had a slow start to the game as Boston held a 13-10 advantage midway. After a timeout, they would go on a 9-2 run to reclaim the lead. It would be a tight 1-pt lead after one, 25-24.

THe Celtics would start the 2nd on a 16-5 run, behind strong play from the bench and offensive rebounding leading to 2nd chance points. They would lead by as much as 13 in the period. Bulls cut the lead to 7 going into the half 53-46.

Pierce leading the way for the Celtics as usual with 10 pts. Jordan was the only Bull producing and had 24 at the half.

The Bulls made their move in the 3rd quarter. THey would keep the Celtics scoreless over the first 3 minutes, eventually go on a 12-4 run to grab the lead. Celtics would later regroup, tightened their D. Their bench came in and continued their strong play to keep it close. It was tied at the end of the 3rd quarter, 68-68.

It was a defensive 4th quarter as neither team could score in the first 3 minutes. Pippen started finding his spots down low, and led the Bulls to take as much as a 7 pt lead. Jordan would com eback from the bench to close the deal scoring 11 pts in the quarter.

Bulls win 97-87.

Jordan with another 50 pt game, finished with 53 pts 9 rebs 8 assts. Pippen added 23 pts 9 rebs 5 assts. Rodman pulled down 13 rebs, had 8 assts as well.

Celtics were led by Rajon Rondo with 16 pts 8 assts. Pierce shot 6/20 from the field to finish with 15. Garnett also struggled, finished with 14 pts on 6/16 shooting. Celtics as a team shot only 38% from the field.

THey advance to the NBA Finals to meet...

CHICAGO -- It's a matchup a lot of people debate about, in a 7-game series. 1996 Bulls vs 2001 Lakers, the two strongest dynasties in the 90s-2000s.

The Bulls got off to a hot start, shooting 75% early, going up by 7. Shaquille on the other hand, established himself early, scoring their first 3 baskets en route to a 12 pt. WHile he saw success in the block, JOrdan was also hitting early hitting his first 5 shots of the game. It was Jordan vs Shaq early. Jordan would finish strong and have 14 1st quarter points. Shaq would have 12. Bulls up 27-20, after a jumper from Kerr as the time expired.

Jordan's strong first quarter play spilled into the 2nd as he stayed on the court to start the quarter. He would grow the lead, including a huge facial dunk over Madsen. Pippen would come in to continue the Bulls strong play and lead the second unit. He would score 12 pts in the quarter himself as the Bulls go up by 11 at the half - 60-49.

Bulls were hot, shooting over 70% from the field. Jordan led the pack with 21 points. Shaq was not far behind with 19.

In the 3rd quarter, the Lakers started strong, led by Kobe, cutting the deficit to 5. However, Shaq would commit his 4th foul on an and-1 dunk by Jordan with less than 3 minutes in, and is forced to sit down. THis started the Lakers demise, as the Bulls go on a 19-7 run, holding the Lakers scoreless over a 5 minute span. THey led by as much as 25. THey head into the 4th up by 21, 87-66.

The massacre continued in the 4th, as the Lakers just could not get anything going. Pippen and Jordan would pile it on, including some timely baskets by Kerr and Kukoc off double teams.

Bulls take Game 1 with an absolute blowout.. 118-82. It was probably their best offensive performance of the playoffs.

Jordan is POG: 36 pts 4 rebs 7 assts 8 stls 2 blks. Pippen followed suit with 29 pts 11 assts. Kukoc had 17.

For the Lakers, Shaqs foul trouble plagued them in the 2nd half. Shaq was scoreless to finish with 19 and added 12 rebounds. Bryant shot 7/15 and only had 14 pts, 5 TO's.

The Bulls would start the first missing their first 4 shots with Jordan missing his first 3. The Lakers would take advantage and 8-0 lead early. The Bulls would regeoup and respond with a 12-2 run to take a brief 2 pt lead. But the Lakers would continue their defensive pressure and set the tone. They lead by 10 32-22 after one.

In the second quarter, Shaq started to flex his muscles more, dominating on both ends of the court. He would get him double double already with less than 5 mins in. The Lakers would head into the half leading by 15, 62-47.

The Shaq and Kobe combo was outplaying MJ-Pip. Shaq already with 15 pts 11 rebs 3 blks in the first half. Jordan was the only one clicking with the Bulls with 22.

Shaq continued his strong play but it was the bench players in both teams that starred. Lue and Horry played strong minutes as well as Kukoc and Buechler for the Bulls. Lakers hang on to a 5-pt lead heading into the 4th.

The Bulls continued to claw their way back into the game behind Scottie Pippen and tied the game with 7 mins to go. But Shaq proved to be too much inside, dominating on the offensive boards and defensively with timely blocks. Kobe Bryant would also come up with timely baskets, and the Lakers would close this thing out, winning Game 2, 113-97.

Shaq finished with 27 pts 16 rebs 4 assts 6 blks. Kobe bounced back with 24 pts 10 rebs.

Jordan finished with 42 pts 5 rebs 6 assts 3 stls. Pippen had a more active 2nd half, finished with 24. Kukoc added 15.

The game started out close with both teams shooting over 60%. In the latter half of the quarter, the Bulls started to cause several turnovers leading to fastbreak points. Jordan was active on both ends. He scored 10 straight points to end the quarter, and the Bulls would've been up by 10 if not for a buzzer beating 3 from the Laker Harper. It's 33-27 after one.

In the second quarter, the Bulls just overwhelmed the Lakers. Pippen continued to lead the offense with MJ on the bench to start the quarter. The defensive pressure also continued as the Bulls caused 7 turnovers. Bulls outscore the Lakers 35-15 in the second to go up by 27, 69-42.

Looks like another massacre is in the works. Jordan was leading the charge with 29 first half points. The Bulls already had 11 steals in the half as well.

The blowout continued in the 3rd as the Lakers continued to turn the ball over and could not find their shot. They led by as much as 30 and went into the 4th up by 29. Lead would balloon in the 4th and it's a complete blowout 117-79.

POG: Michael Jordan 39 pts 7 rebs 10 assts 3 stls. Pippen added 27 pts 4 rebs 6assts. Kukoc had 12. Rodman had 15 rebs.


Shaq had 16 pts 18 rebs. Kobe only had 14 on 6/14 shooting.

Another statement win from the Bulls on the Lakers home floor.

The Bulls defense was again solid, limiting the Lakers ot just 5 pts in the first 7 minutes. They lsowee the pace down again kept it low, and they go up 26-19 after one.



The Lakers start the 2nd cutting the lead to 3. But the Bulls would come right back and pad their lead further. They go on a 19-7 run and go up by as much as 20. Lakers trim it down to 14 going into the half.



54-40 at the half. The Lakers offense is again struggling, shooting 36%. Jordan led the pack with 19 pts. Shaq had 10 pts 12 rebs.



The Lakers started the third quarter cutting their deficit to 9. But Jordan and company continued to smell blood and pushed their leas back up to 14 going into the 4th and final quarter, 75-61.



The Bulls started the 4th quarter on a 12-0 run led by Kukoc and Pippen to get their lead up to 26. Kobe would not quit just yet, however. He would have 11 4th quarter points and would lead the Lakers on a 19-4 to come to within 11 with 5 mins to go. Pippen would halt the run by scoring 4 straight pts including a steal and a breakaway slam, and would follow with an assist to Jordan, to help keep the Bulls up double digits the rest of the way.



Bulls win. 99-87. They take a commanding 3-1 lead in this series as they head back into Chicago.

The Lakers started the game strong. They scored the game's first 9 points behind Shaq and Kobe's presence on both ends. After a quick timeout, the Bulls were able to settle down defensively and caught up and did not let the Lakers run away early. The Lakers, however continued their hot shooting and stayed ahead, 30-28.

In the second quarter, Jordan led the second unit as they outplayed their Laker counterparts. They take the lead on a 3-pointer by Buechler with 8 minutes to go. Jordan would push the lead up further to 6. Lakers stayed in the game by dropping the ball to Shaq down low. The Lakers started to double team Jordan bug MJ was able to pass the rock to open teammates who would hit their shots. He would score 12 points and have 4 assists in the quarter to help the Bulls maintain a 6 point lead going into the half.

Jordan led all scorers with 23 pts at the half. Shaq leads the Lakers with 12 pts and 9 rebs.

Jordan continued his strong play in the 3rd, with 12 pts in the period. He was also facilitating the offense well. They would lead by as much as 13. Kobe Bryant would heat up late and help them cut the lead to single digits. But a late foul by Horry on Kerr as the 3rd quarter ended led to free throws, and the Chicago lead is still 11 at the end of the 3rd, 83-72.

In the 4th quarter, there was an unlikely hero. Ron Harper set the tone defensively causing several turnovers on Lakers backcourt. He would have 5 steals in the game leading to a Bulls fastbreak, and 7 points of his own. The Bulls would lead by as much as 18 with the defensive pressure they put on LA. The Lakers would cut the lead and come to within 8 pts behind SHaq and Kobe. But Harper and the Bulls stuck to their winning formula in this one with their DEFENSE, keeping the Bulls comfortably ahead.

Bulls clinch the title on their home floor with an impressive victory. 103-91.

Jordan closed out the Lakers with 40 pts 4 rebs 10 assts. Pippen added 18 pts 3 rebs 4 assts. Rodman had an active game on the boards with 18 rebs to go along 7 assts.

Lakers again were subpar. Bryant led the way with 26 pts. Shaq had 18 pts 14 rebs.

Michael Jordan is named Finals MVP. He averaged 38.4 pts 4.8 rebs 8.2 assts 3.4 stls 1.2 blks.

CHICAGO -- First game of the new NBA 2K21 Season is against the '93 Bulls with Bill Cartwirght, Horace Grant and BJ Armstrong.

It was a close frist 3 quarters until the winning Bulls team rallied to win and dominate the 4th quarter.

'93 Jordan would burn the '96 Bulls with 50 pts but it was not enough for the W.

The Suns offense was clicking in this game. THey led by 12 with less than 5 mins to go in the 1st. But the Bulls bench provided a spark, led by Kukoc and John Salley, fueling a 11-0 run to end the quarter tied at 25.

The Suns continued their solid offensive play in the second led early on by Sixth Man of the Year Leandro Barbosa, helping the Suns hold on to a slim 2 point lead going into the half. The Suns lead was 4 going into the 4th.

THe Bulls rallied to start the 4th behind Pippen and Kukoc. They take the lead after back-to-back 3's from Kukoc. Steve Nash then almost single-handedly kept the Suns in it, helping them regain the lead with 4 mins to go with great outside shooting. JOrdan and PIppen then together helped close the deal here along with some timely defensive stops. THe Bulls take the W, 119-111.

Pippen had a huge game with 35 pts 5 rebs 5 assts 2 stls 1 blk. But Jordan was the POG and primary facilitator as he was facing constant double teams. He finished with 28 pts and 17 assts.

Amare Stoudamire was effective with 31 pts. Nash had 27 pts and 8 assts.

It was an early advantage for the Warriors in this one, leading by double digits for most of the first half with tremendous shooting from the field. They seemed to be in control of this game, as tit turned into a high scoring affair. The vaunted Bulls defense struggled against the Warriors excellent shooting, almost 70% from the field. Steph Curry was utterly fantastic, shooting the ball from all over the court, 4/6 from 3pt, 19/24 from the floor, scoring even on penetrations.

The Bulls were able to keep it close offensively with Jordan going nuts. He had 29 first half points and finished with 52 pts in the game. Facing constant double teams , Jordan was also able to pass the ball to open teammates and finished the game with 17 assists. This was especially true in the pivotal 3rd quarter where Jordan switched to guard Steph Curry on defense, and the Bulls bench provded the extra lift getting open shots off of double teams on MJ. The Bulls had the slimmest of leads 102-101 heading to the 4th..

The 4th quarter was a close contest. It was a back and forth affair, with the Bulls hitting early up by as much as 6, and then midway, the Warriors led by Steph Curry fought back leading by as much as 3. It was like a boxing match as no one led by more than 3 points in the final minutes.

Game was tied with less than a minute to go. Exectuion was the key as the team that won was the one who was able to execute the best.

Arenas set the tone for the game early quickness on both ends. Washington was able to keep competing with some good outside sniping. THeir bigs, Haywood and E. Thomas were also dominating their Bulls counterparts, keeping plays alive with offensive rebounds, and providing second chance points. THe WIzards were more consistent offensively thru 3 quarters and led by 4 going into the 4th.

Scottie Pippen responded and led the Bulls all the way back to the drivers seat as the 4th quarter started. Washington also started to miss their perimeter shots. Jordan then helped close the game out as the Bulls still came out with the W.

Jordan was POG with 47 pts and 8 assts. Pippen added 29 pts, 5 rebs 8 assts.

Gilbert Arenas finished with 36 pts to lead the WIzards. Butler added 25 pts whil ANtawn Jamison added 13.

Chicago dominated the Cavs in the first quarter, leading by as much as 17 points. They are up 31-18 after one. THe Cavs, led by Mark Price, got to within stirking range in the second and headed into the half trailing by only 6, 51-46.

Jordan led all scorers at the half with 20. Mark Price led CLeveland with 13 pts.

The Bulls started the 3rd quarter missing their shots while THe Cavs were hitting theirs. THey would take the lead after 2 FT's from Craig Ehlo off a fastbreak foul. It would be back and forth, changing leads about 6 x int the quarter. The Bulls would end up up by 6 at the end of the 3rd 75-71.

Chicago broke the game open by starting the 4th quarter on a 20-4 run, forcing turnovers and turining it into fastbreak points. They would maintain ther double digits in the quarter and win convincingly 124-100.
