OAKLAND -- Game 4 was a battle of wills, and an instant Double overtime NBA Finals Classic. It's probably one of the best games I've been able to play.
The first quarter started slow for the Bulls offensively, but defensively, this may be their best quarter yet. They had 8 steals in the quarter and 2 blocks. Ron Harper was shining here. After Curry dominated Game 2 and 3, he looked to lock him down, blocking him twice, forcing him to 2/7 shooting. Bulls go up by 9 in the 1st quarter, 32-24.
In the second quarter, the Bulls turned cold, and the Warriors would go on a 7-0 run to trim the lead to 1. Bulls would regroup and the Warriors started missing even open shots. The Bulls lead for the rest of the quarter, taking a 6 point lead into the half, 54-46.
Jordan led everyone with 21 pts and 7 assts at the half. Warriors were held to 41% FG shooting.
The Warriors shooting continued to be poor in the 3rd quarter. The Bulls meantime, grew their lead to double digits behind Jordan who continued to kill it in the post. But the Warriors can get hot fast and score fast, and thats exactly what they did in the last 2 minutes of the quarter, as Durant, Curry, and Thompson all hitting their shots, and the lead is cut to just 2, 77-75 at the start of the 4th quarter.

IN the 4th quarter, the Bulls started out with 3-pointers from Kukoc and Kerr. But the Warriors would respond with a 3 pointer and 3-pt play of their own. What would follow is a exhibition of marksmanship by two teams that would not give an inch to the opposing squad. It would be back and forth for most of the quarter, with several lead changes.
The game was tied at 108-108 after Ron Harper made 1 of 2 FT's with 39 secs to go. Curry would quickly score in the ensuing posesstion to put them ahead, but the Bulls would tie it again off a dunk from Luc Longley after another double team on Jordan. THe Warriors would get the last play with 19 secs to go. Curry and Durant could not get a shot up with the Bulls D, and Draymond would miss a layup at the buzzer after some tight coverage by the 7-ft Longley.
Game goes into overtime. 110-110.
In overtime, Harper would miss another FT to begin the extra period, then Thompson would score on the next play followed by a long 3-pointer by Curry to bring the Warriors up by 4. But Jordan would again respond, and getting a 3pt play, steal and a dunk in succession to bring them up by 3. THe Bulls would play great defense on the other end and kept the Warriors from scoring, and after breakaway dunk by Pippen put them up by 7 with 34 secs to go, it seemed the Bulls were on its way to taking a 3-1 lead.
But never underestimate the potent scoring power of the Warriors. 7 point deficit. 34 secs. In the Oracle arena. THey can.
It started with a 3 pt play for Kevin DUrant on the next play. It was a 4 pt deficit with 27 secs to go. On the next play, Rodman would turn it over on the inbounds pass. Durant would again score in just 5 secs on the next play to cut it to 2. Harper would then get fouled. Harper would (again) only make 1 of 2 FT's. It was a 3 pt lead with 19 secs to go. Durant again would score on a quick jumper with 14 secs left. The Bulls would make sure Kerr was the player fouled in the next play, and he would make both FT's to make it a 3 pt lead with 13.4 secs to go.
The next play would be crazy. Warriors run it up the floor, and Klay THomspon would miss a 3 pt attempt with 6.8 secs to go. Rodman would grab the rebound but would lose the ball to Draymond Green, who would give it in the box to Durant who then found an open Jerebko in the corner who scores the game-tying 3-pointer!
Second overtime! 127-127
In the second overtime, the Warriors started out cold, while the Bulls were able to put the first 7 points on the board. After a layup by Durant, Green would convert on a 3 pt play with 1:48 to go to cut the deficit to 4. Green remained aggressive and got fouled by Pippen on their next play. It would be PIppen's 6th foul. He would covert 2 FT's to cut the deficit to 2 with 1:23 remaining. Kukoc however would hit a BIG 3-pointer on the next play to pad their lead to 5. Durant with answer to cut the lead again to 3. THe Warriors would step up the D on the Bulls next possession and get a steal with 35 secs to go. THey rushed the next possession however, as THompson shot a forced 3 in the corner and missed.
It's still a 3 pt lead with 23 secs left in 2OT. Michael Jordan would then put the dagger with a tough fadeaway jumper over Klay Thomspon's outstretched arms from 20 feet away with just 5.2 secs left to up the lead to 5 and seal the victory for the Bulls.
