CHICAGO -- Its the newly crowned 2020 Champs going against the GOAT team, the 1996 Bulls., and they took MJ and the Bulls to the limit on this one (skip to the end of 4th 28:12)

      Link https://youtu.be/le4Xm6dmECw

It was a tight game thru and thru, with no team leading by more than 6. There were several lead changes and they needed an extra period to decide the outcome.

In the first quarter, A.D. was dominant inside and on the boards. MJ though matched his output with 14 & and the Bulls led by just 1, 30-29, after a follow up dunk by Rodman to beat the buzzer.

The 2nd quarter was more of the same, with teams keeping it close. The Bulls bench outplayed the Lakers, led by Kerr. Rondo tho also had a good game. It's Chicago 64-61 at the half.

The 3rd was the same back and forth as both teams were executing enough to prevent the other from rallying. Bulls bench again held it up here and the Bulls go into the 3rd up, 90-88.

Anthony Davis quickly went to work at the start of the 4th. But Jordan and company still kept them at bay. THey were ahead by 5 with 1:30 to go, but the Lakers were able to come back, after a driving layup by James, and 2 FT's by KCP, who has been aggressive and attacking all game. THere was 9.9 secs to go and CHicago was up by 1. Lakers foul Kerr who makes 2 FT's to bring it back up to 3. with 8.7 to go. LeBron them quickly brought it up to the front court, and found KCP open on the shoulder who buries the game-tying 3 pointer to send the game to OT, 123-123.

Overtime was still close. Lakers went up first, as the bigs Davis and Howard was able to score inside to help LA go up by 4.. MJ and Pippen made big plays however to tie the game once again 1:18 to go. THen the big dogs Jordan and James exchanged baskets in the final secs. On the Bulls last play, with LA leading by 2, Jordan found Steve Kerr at the top of the key and he drains a 3 to bring the Bulls back up by 1. On the Lakers next possession, Green missed a jumper amd Jordan was fouled with 16.9 secs to go. He made 1 of 2 FTs to bring Chicago up 141-139. WIth no timeouts, Lakers brought it up, and with time winding down, they gave the ball to LeBron who had it on the right shoulder posting up Pippen. He shot his patented fadeaway, but Jordan comes down to help and blocks James shot from behind! THat sealed the victory for the Bulls, and they escape 141-139, in overtime.

Jordan finished with 61 pts, 6 rebs, 14 assts, stls 1 blk. Pippen added 36 pts 5 rebs 6 assts 3 stls. Kerr and Kukoc combined for 29 pts off the bench. Rodman finished with 17 rebs and 14 assts.

Lakers had 4 players in the 20s, led by LeBron who had 27 pts, 4 rebs 10 assts, 3 stls. A.D. finished with 26 pts 8 rebs. KCP added 24, while Howard was huge with 20pts 15 rebs.

Re: '96 Bulls in a Classic Teams myLeague on 2K

PHILADELPHIA -- It's Dr J vs MJ, CLash of generational greats. 1977 Sixers and the 1996 Bulls.

Over the first 2 quarters, it appeared like a mismatch as the Bulls defense limited the Sixers to 39 1st half points. They led by as much as 12 in the 2nd and led by 8 at the half, 47-39.

In the 2nd half, Dr J led a late rally in the 3rd and actually put them ahead on several occasions. He would score 17 2nd half points and had the Sixers ahead by 3 with over 3 minutes remaining. Jordan would will the Bulls back, making several key plays and the game is tied at 99 with 18.8 secs remaining and Chicago had the ball. THey ran the clock down and Jordan shoots a fadeawy jumper over Doug Collins as time expired but misses it. THey go into overtime.

In OT, Jordan took over. He scored 8 of their 12 pts and assisted on the other FG, while they held the Sixers to 6 pts on 3/11 shooting. Th Bulls go on to win it 111-105.

Jordan finished with 37 pts 7 rebs 10 assts 5 stls 1 blk. Pippen added 27. Julius Erving led the SIxers with 30 pts, but had none in OT only 2 in the 4th. McGinnis finished with 20 pts 11 rebs.

Re: '96 Bulls in a Classic Teams myLeague on 2K

OKLAHOMA CITY -- It's the OKC Big 3 MVP's going against the HOF Big 3 of CHicago. And this one was like a heavyweight championship fight with both sides giving their best punches until the last man is left standing.

          #OKC #Thunder #Durant #Westbrook #Harden #Jordan #Pippen #Rodman #ChicagoBulls #NBA2K21 @NBA2K

In the 1stQ, Westbrook appeared overly pumped, shooting 1/5 in the first 2.5mins. Kevin Durant was the steady hand for OKC as he had 13 in the quarter. Jordan countered however with 12 of his own. Chicago had a more balanced attack. THey led by 3 31-28 after one. THe second quarter was all OKC, as they exploded for 38 pts, and they lead Bulls by 8 at the half 67-59.

THe Bulls made their move in the 3rdQ and tied the game with 5 mins to go. THe Thunder finished strong and they are up by 4, 99-95 going into the 4th.

In the 4thQ, the Bulls bench stepped up. Kukoc had 10 4th quarter pts including a 3-pointer while Kerr added 5. It was a close game, with the Bulls up for most of the 4th. But OKC would come up with HUGE plays down the stretch. Jordan shot a tough fadeaway over Westrook and Perkins with 27 secs to go. KD would respond with a quick drive and dunk. JOrdan would make 2 FT's with 23.4 secs left to make it 3 again. But Westbrook would race to the corner for a 3 to tie the game with 18 secs to go. Jordan would have the final say. He run the clock down, shot a long jumper at the shoulder for the win, but the ball rolls out and we go into OT

Overtime would still be a close contest. Bulls up by 3 w 50 secs left. KD would find Perkins open underneath on the next play to bring them to within one. On the Bulls next play, Harden would strip Jordan off the ball & find Westbrook running down the court and he would lay it in to bring OKC up by 1, 151-150 with 21 secs left. Jordan would find himself with the ball again on the final play, but OKC would double him, and Jordan would find Kerr underneath and score and bring CHicago up again 152-151 with 3 secs left. AFter a timeout, Kevin Durant would himself in the corner for a 3 as time expired, but the ball rolls out and the Bulls hang on to win.

MIAMI -- Prime Dwyane Wade goes up against the GOAT, Michael Jordan, and he did not disappoint. He was up to the challenge and did not back down from the Bulls defense. Michael Jordan also faught him toe to toe in this intense matchup between two of the greatest FInals MVP's ever.

            #dwyanewade #michaeljordan #miamiheat #chicagobulls #2006heat #primewade #96bulls

THe Heat had a good start, making their first 5 shots. Bulls then got on transition with good defense and quickly caught up with a 13-4 run. Wade would get hot late and kept things close. CHicago takes a 1 pt lead after one, 29-28. THe 2nd quarter was close with MJ and Wade matching each other. It's the Heat supporting cast that made the difference as Miami takes a 5 pt lead into the half 61-56.

Wade was hot, with 24 pts already at the half. MJ was not far behind with 20.

In the 3rd, Dwyane Wade continued his outstanding game and scored 13 pts in the quarter, as the Heat outshot the Bulls. THe Heat maintain a 6 pt lead going into the 4th. In the 4th quarter, the Bulls would get cold with Jordan sitting down, and the Heat took as much as a 10 pt lead. The Bulls would make a run, sparked by Steve Kerr who would drain 2 3pters in the quarter. THey would get to within 2 but Chicago would commit some costly turnovers and Heat go up again by 8. THe Bulls make one final run with Jordan. But Wade would not be denied in this game, as he closes them out. He put them a way with two key plays in the final minute... drawing a charge on MJ, then scoring on the other end to bring an end to their rally. Heat win 130-124.

Wade was POG. He finished with 51 pts 5 rebs 11 assts 2 stls. Shaq had 20 pts 9 rebs. Jason Williams, Posey, and Payton rounded out Heat players with double figures.

The Bulls opened the second scoring the first 9 pts, while holding the Cavs scoreless and they go up by double digits. CLeveland regrouped and cut the deficit into 5, and it's 64-59 at the half.

Kyrie Irving was the main offensive man for the Cavs, scoring 19 in the hald. Jordan was his usual self with 20 first half points.

In the thrid quarter, the Bulls seemed to be able to keep a certain distance from the Cavs with solid offensive execution and defense on the other end. While Kyrie continued to produce, LeBron was pretty quiet and a nonfactor thru the 3rd quarter. Bulls go up by 10 heading into the 4th, 95-85.

In the 4th quarter, the Bulls remained ahead and was leading by 12 pts with over 3 mins to go, but LeBron James was not about to quit yet. He got hot late and led the Cavaliers all the way back just trailing by 4 in the last 1:00 of the game. After the lead went back up to 7 after a 3-pointer from Kerr off a Jordan double team, LeBron would counter with a 3 of his own to again cut it the lead to 4 with less than 40 secs to go. Jordan would score in the post against JR SMith on the next play to bring lead back up to 6. Kyrie would miss the 3 on the next play, but Love would grab the rebound and score on a put back PLUS a foul! Lead is 3 with 24 secs left. Chicago would make their FT's however to seal the W, 130-125.

Jordan would finish with 44 pts while Pippen would add 27. Kerr and Kukoc came up bug off the bench for the Bulls, combining for 28 (kerr 17, Kukoc 11) and 11 assts (10 from Kukoc).

Kyrie ended up with 37 pts 8 assts. Lebron would finish with 23

LeBron from any era is overrated. This series proves it.
