I don't know whats up with who controls the shooting in park and pro am. Mike Wang or a group effort. Its sad squads of sharps and glass are dominating the park and pro am. I don't play it anymore and by the looks of it hardly anyone plays regular park. I know people are in the cages but the park population is sad. Maybe if it was more balanced the population will creep back up.


Xmas is coming and these squads are going to drive new people away. How does 2k not know this? I have a shot creating rebounding sf because I play with randoms. Having a rebounder is the only way my teams can compete against these squads. It hampers me offensively and is no fun.


For Xmas newcomers there should be a big banner on the main menu that says "Create sharp or glass cleaner or suffer the consequences"

that last quote is what i've said in many of my threads. they should give you a warning or disclaimer. because these are the super OP builds. I told a friend of mine that got the game late. he was about to build his usual pure athletic finisher big man that he usually dominates people with in 2k. i said. dont waste your time bro. not until they do some more updates to these builds. i said go on and make yourself a pure glass and start dominating. and thats exactly what he did. i made a pure glass later on but i hate playing with him because its way to difficult to score basic layups when you fake people and get around them. you blow way to many layups just cause of your build. meaning your skill wont help you. it will be a waste of your time. all you are there for per 2k is snagging 20+ rebs a game and pitching it back out for 3s or fast breaks. thats it. leave the scoring to the pure sharps or pure shots or shot sharps.

With the shooting OP it is tough to defend. But you know what makes it tougher? The stupid *** shove animation you get by pushing B or Circle towards your opponent that shoves a defender out of the play. Just lost a game where my matchup scored 20 because I got shoved every *EVERY* single possession.

We tried switching on screens. It doesn't matter against two sharps, you're bound to get sucked into a screen or shoved. How do people *devs mainly* see this and think? AWESOME!

Why is there even a shove animation? Who banged the table for that feature? They don't listen man. I know you aren't supposed to be rude towards them in these forums, but holy crap man. 75% of the community wants shooting fixed and made to be more in line with real numbers? GIVE THEM SHOVE ANIMATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swore this game off last year and bought Live. I didn't like Live, mostly due to the canned animations. I 100% regret spending my money on this game this year.

I am cool with the shove animation being in The Cages, because that mode's trying to replicate the sport of Slamball, and body checking was a legal defensive move in that sport.

But shoving shouldn't be allowed in any other game mode outside of The Cages.

2K knows exactly what this year's game is all about and has started advertising it accordingly.

Forget the dozens of possible archetype combinations that exist, just come pay $59.99 and make yourself a pure sharp/pure stretch so you can left/right behind a hall of fame brick wall/bruiser screen until you get a sliver of space to take an unrealistically quick & high jumping custom release that goes in 80% to 90% of the time, even through light contests.

Just hit 14/16 from 3 with my stretch with at least 3/4 being contested. That would be the greatest single game of shooting in nba history but in 2k it's just another day at the office haha

Ok i read it again.. Are you serious?? What shooters dont use screens in real life basketball, how is that not a real tactic? Is switching screens to close out on shooters not a real tactic? Idk what your talking about fam.

i said MOVING screen. You can't do that in the nba with that kind of quickness because they would call moving screen 90% of the time on that type of play because you never allow your screen setter to actually SET the screen then you take it. you're taking the screen before he's officially set, then you're taking it again and again and again. it doesnt work like that in real life at all.

This is why 2k went too far as usual and nerfed the screens to some degree with these weird animations calling illegal screen on actually LEGAL screens. 2k does what they usually do. try to nerf something and end up under powering something else or making for a completed messed up scenario. lol.

It seems that 2K itself is geared toward the same mentality that a lot of these sharpshooters have on line...too often you see the cpu run the same zig zag, come off moving screens BS over and over til they get an open 3. Screens are trash in this game, given the magnetism of them or the weirdly triggered animations when trying to around them. Angles, strength, speed, quickness, positioning have to matter and right now they don’t. Forget being in a shooters jersey to stop them once badges, screens, takeover and green release all happen at once or you have any combination of them, you would have to be in their body to somehow get them to miss.

Yeah 60% shooting is a pretty trash percentage for a sharp primary MyPlayer this year.

Good sharps will make at least 80% of their threes in 2K19.

Agent Zero was talking about this performance in his most recent YouTube video, and he made a lot of good points BUT STILL! I don't see how ANYONE can have this type of output without it being fixed. What's the chances that you'll have 5 people on the same team who would have the lowest Basketball possible? At a certain point, I would think they would start double/triple teaming the player. Hell...I would think they would start to throw all 4 players at him and absolutely force someone else to score.

Personally, I want to see the video of the game.

Lol with better timing he could have scored 200+. Guaranteed greens on good releases is killing this game. Fatigue is also nonexistent.
