I understand the frustration, but I can think of two reasons. One is, the less players know what's really under the hood the less they can possibly exploit. Players can be unbelievably more creative in finding weird quirks and work arounds than the devs would ever dream.

Two is, when you're on top of your game (terrible pun intended), the less you tell any potential competition any "under the hood" info, the better.

He could probably go into more detail than he does and not hurt anything. But it's just easier to generally not talk about it.

Not to mention he wants us as players to actually play his game and feel it out ourselves and make estimations. That's supposed to be part of the fun.

The problem is that this doesnt only affect the MyPlayer mode. It also affects offline rosters as well. How is a roster editor supposed to make accurate adjustments if he doesn't know what each badge does?

I don't know man...Do you imagine yourself playing borderlands and choosing which skill unlock or which gun equip without knowing their stats?

Agree with you. But you're getting the basic stats. Too much info can be detrimental to game balance.

And like VF mentioned--that destroys PVP.

If they insist on having these dumb badges in the game they should tell us what they do. It affects player creation and wastes my time. If they are concerned about balance they can limit their pie charts and make them balanced. Or they can just change what the badge does if it is broken.
