Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
No way. I had to shelf my Center and make a Shooting Guard because we kept getting matched up with terrible point guards that would 1) ballhog and worst of all 2) not play defense. Them missing shots wasn't half as bad as how many open 3s they would give up. It made winning impossible.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Made Alex Caruso lol.
6’5 pg, blue/yellow.
90 driving dunk
65 three
75 midd
21/13/20/6
Str/spd pie chart
Went with post moves instead of passing so I end up on the 2-3 more, don’t like being the prime ball handle
Consistent 3 from the corner, hof playmaking and all dunk packages.
Its such a fun build in the rec.

Oh yeah...I ran across your build the other day. That little damn PF gave me a run for my money, lol. The build had me in No Man's Land for most of the game, and my teammates wasn't giving me the ball in the post to punish his little ***.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
With no mynation games the grind for badges aint worth it for me tbh.
Although i want a new bigman build for under 92 lol.
Might go full offense with a blue/ green pie.

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
It's possible. I went with the Blue/Gold pie chart to create my C. It feels like the Finishing badges are the most important thing for this build to live up to its full potential. Plus, you REALLY have to know the controls and understand spacing underneath the basket. I feel like the playmaking/scoring big is the most skilled build in the game, and I think people really do want to play with a big that knows how to pass out of the post while still being able to score off more than just putbacks.Comment

Idk I feel like you’re always suffering in one area with these pie charts.
In 19 i had a 6’9SF slashing post scorer. Build was perfect, could do anything.

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
The pure slasher pie chart is the best one for post scoring builds.
You can make a player anywhere from 6'7" to 7'1" and become a post bully with that pie.
Just don't go past 7'1" because taller players lose access to key animations (alley oops, long athlete layup, Dwight Howard dunks).
Forget about taking fades, post spins, or up an unders because all of those moves suck this year.
You want to focus on hook shots and drop steps, which are the two most effective post moves in the game.
Max out backdown punisher, deep hooks, drop stepper, pro touch, consistent finisher, & contact finisher on hall of fame and you'll be very tough to stop one on one.
Also make sure to leave enough playmaking points to max out unpluckable and quick first step. The passing rating doesn't really matter this year for bigs so you can leave it empty but definitely max out your ball control to deter steal spammers.Last edited by jyoung; 05-15-2020, 07:46 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
The one thing that I hate about GCL is that their 3PT rating is high enough that you're "forced" to guard them like a genuine threat. To me, if that's the build you selected, then you should only be allowed to block shocks, rebound, and get your points off of garbage. That's so annoying.
